I've been wanting to change up my room for quite some time. Not only did the wall colors and furniture arrangement bother me, the clutter and the amount of stuff I owned didn't make me happy either. A room makeover was much needed.
I read the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying by Marie Kondo. Although it was not the book that prompted me to get rid of the unnecessary items in my bedroom, it still provided me with inspiration to live a meaningful life, surrounded by things that I enjoy and make me happy. My room makeover is the second step (the first step is decluttering) on my journey to a better life.
This video actually took me 6 months to edit and post. I started in July and finished around August, although it will never be finished and I'm constantly changing the decor.

If anyone was wondering why I painted white the things that were already white, it was because it was either a dingy off-white color, scratched, or patchy. :)

+Danielle G you could very easily turn that cube thing into a storage ottoman. Just nail a board onto the bottom and use hinges to attach a board to the top. You could very easily upholster it too. You'd just get some padding and use a staple gun to stretch some canvas or upholstery fabric over it.
Damn girl i'd never be able to put all of these things together by myself. Looks great!

Gray seems to be so in. I painted my garage gray and it looks so good. And just painted my bathroom cabinet a light blue gray. I just love gray. And your room came out so beautiful and you painted everything better then a pro.

See I want to do this but with my close minded and stubborn parents I can't I just feel like I can't express myself at all not even in CLOTHES let alone express my self in general which is a separate issue but fuck!! Yes I'm complaining and ranting I'm just tired of not being able to move I feel that I've been stuck in a box my entire liiiiiife my parents are completely and soooo clueless I can't take it anymore. And if I ask for this I'm crazy well when I have a job and I'm balling I'm going to do this fuck it few I feel better now.

Ye, your parents are the worst. I can't believe they feed you, cloth you but a roof over your head, provide you with an education. Orphaned children in slums and refugee camps around the world are crying for you because you can't "express' yourself. Seriously, reread your post and consider how privileged and lucky you are. Thank your parents for all they've done, don't bash them online. When you buy your own place, you can do what you like with it. Until then, be thankful they let you stay in theirs.
I disagree. Of course you should be grateful to have the life you have but also I don't think people should get children if they're not going to give them the best. Feeding, clothing and shelter is the LEAST they HAVE to do. And also who kicks their child who at birth wast "the most precious gift in the world". It grew up and lost its worth and we don't like them anymore cause we raised them to be the scumbags we are? Don't think so...

I like the floaty white curtains you put up over the vertical blinds. The wall colour is lovely and classic too. I am stealing the idea of using a small sponge roller to go over brushstrokes when painting furniture! This is going to make a big difference. Thanks!

My parents built me a room in the basement less than 9 months ago and Im in live with it but I pove these vids. (also it isn't fancy it was cheap as fu k bc we're broke and it was my Christmas/Birthday present

I was aiming to paint my room grey and the colour I chose was a light grey but when it dried it looked more like a pearly light blue 😭

Shar's gaming PH babygirl, some years ago, i was sick for a week, so one day when my mom went to work, I woke up, took all the furniture, carpet out of the room, repainted the room, totally destroided some furniture, meaning that i took some of the details, like shelves from desk and etc., some of them didn’t unscrew properly so i had to break them of. But finally when i finished the room, I was so happy. and my mom was oh so mad, but just for a minute, she was happy after all too ;) so just do it
