I would use a more substantial fixture and not these spiral of doom. These spiral fixtures isn't very strong and I certainly wouldn't trust my TV with these.
Not sure about the guy in the video, but I’ve had bad experience with studs. In most apartments and condos, studs are made of metal and drilling a hole in metal is never comfortable. Plus, these screws can easily hold 100+ lb so I don’t even bother.
Never use drywall anchors or toggle bolts to hand a TV. If the studs don't align to where you need them, attach a piece of plywood to the studs and attach the mount to the plywood.
It's always better to use the screws that come with it. I made the mistake of using other screws once. They were a bit too big and the anchor stated spinning in the wall. It messed up that wall and rendered the anchor unusable. I had to mount a new one.
FYI....The anker's you are using state in the directions on the back of the packaging to NOT use them to mount TV's. These 75lbs ankers are for an item hanging down and lying on the wall from the screw. Once you add a force/lever out from the screw the anker no longer holds 75lbs and can/will fail.
Good to know thanks 🙏 and it’s so cool that those anchors you used can hold a lot 😉👍
Yeah those anchors really work well and hold a lot of weight. Thank you for watching!
Does this work on plaster walls with no studs as well as drywall?
Do they really hold up the tv ?
You were the best in my search! Great Job and Thanks!
No problem, glad you were able to find the video!
Hope for no earthquakes so it doesn’t bounce right off the wall, thanks for sharing
Had to use self-control using an impact driver. 😂 Thanks, great video
Thank you so much for this video, Major props.
What’s the screw size on the anchors?
I would have used the toggle bolts, the butterfly looking ones.
I hate mounting TVs. If it was not for my wife, I wouldn't even own one.
yeah, im terrified to do this. my tv just wont be aligned unfortunately. 😢
How do I make sure I don’t hit a pipe?
Good video
So can I mount my 70" on the Wall
lol you got be trolling.
Love it 😍
Nice except those plastic anchors look like crap. I’d use some metal toggle bolts.
Yo yo bro you do not want to guess the screw that goes in back of tv. as well you do not want to use a drill you can go too far a f up tv
Great video tho
Thanks!!
Are washers needed or are they just for added security?
If the screw head is big enough, shouldn’t need the washers if you referring to the mounting on the back of the TV. Hope this helps!
@@2MinuteHowTo indeed I am, thank you.

Awesome
If an anchor hoods say 10lbs does that mean that 2 anchors will allow for a capacity of 20lbs?
Yeah but I wouldn’t push it to the limits. In this video, the TV only weighed like 7-8 lbs total and I used 75lb anchors so it was way over done.
Attaching a wall mount to plywood
But great video thank you 😊
10/10 great instructions killed my goldfish.
May I ask how?
Nice video, but why didn't you try to find the wall studs to see if you could get at least one wall stud in the mount? Just curious. Thanks!

Because I was making a video about how to mount a TV to the wall with no studs🤣
(4) 75 pound anchors versus (1) 8 pound TV
@@2MinuteHowTo My thoughts exactly!!! Wonderful answer!!!!
I'm trying to mount my tv but every stud in my apartment has electricity running through it according to stud finder

why? u think is dangerous
@@ilNewyorkese Drywall anchors are weak.
@@mgweir3252 actually toggle bolts can hold 100+ lb. This TV only weighed 8 lb.
The drywall is the weak link here, not the anchors
I have never used that type of anchor...did you use the screws that came with the mount or buy separate screws for the anchor? Thanks!
It's always better to use the screws that come with it. I made the mistake of using other screws once. They were a bit too big and the anchor stated spinning in the wall. It messed up that wall and rendered the anchor unusable. I had to mount a new one.
Screws came with the anchors so I’m wondering if he used those screws?
All right ok
You said your tv weighs 8 pounds?
Yeah maybe not even that. It was super light weight.

@@michaelschramm6426 well the mount is flat against the wall so it should be fine.
thanx..
Thank you
Never do this. at least use toggle bolts.
Exactly
Dude said he thinks the TV weighs about 8lbs, NO!
Video is 6. Minutes…
This was 6 minutes
This whole video is wrong. Never ever use this method
