Idea for Episode 100: "Decoding Revit Coordinate System" (but REALLY. Like, not just "acquire coordinates from Architect", but real MEP/Struct Pain... when 2 models are NOT in the same coordinates and Nobody wants to change anything because submittal is Friday)

Thank you guys for this video. There are billions of things to say about lookup tables. It's clearly the most powerful tool for creators of parametric families. If you're looking for someone to tell you stories about lookup tables with lots of great examples, I would be really happy to share it with you.

Great video guys, some of it I can relate to such as using IF statements to switch between single / multiple mullions for window families, but are there any examples of where the more complex formulas can be used in real life examples?

There is no need to memorize the lookup table
Set the parameters in the new family → export the family type (.txt) → save as [.csv] with EXCEL

Super great summary of key family concepts. I don’t know if either of you have done anything about using arrays effectively in families but that is a functionality that could definitely be illuminated for us Revit users. I did a short video on rotation that might relate to some of Nick’s trig content:

    Thanks again for the video.
