I hope they do that as well. It would really show how blind and arrogant the Order was. It wouldn't be the first time the Jedi cover up their mistakes. If they do that, I'd love to see some of them call out the BS and might leave the Order.
Luke had shown a lot of his father in him. And to be fair he did show signs of going down the dark path. That’s why he dressed in all black in return of the Jedi to show there was a chance he could turn to the dark side. But after he saved Vader a white flap was shown should he was always going to stay on the light side. Got that from watching you
i just feel like yoda was trying to make him mad to see the anger he could get out of luke before training him and while training him. luke showed Yoda he wasnt like his father.
Luke was more like Padme than Anakin in terms of personality and attitude. His sister, on the other hand, was more like Anakin than Padme since she's been in the thick of things with the Rebellion vs. the Empire while Luke was in isolation of sorts on Tatoonie. Leia was involved in the political plays, assisted her adopted father, Bail, with resisting the Imperials, and put her life in danger constantly to aid the Rebellion. Then, she suffered being tortured by Vader and lost her adopted homeworld and family in one blast from the Death Star. She was more likely to fall like Anakin did, given how she all she endured, especially in terms of loss and tragedy, which did affect her as an individual. So Yoda, you swinged and missed in assuming the worst of Luke and thinking that Leia was better suited for training. Guess you never learned from your past sins and assumptions now, did ya?
How could things have gotten worse, when the Sith already controlled the entire galaxy? The worst case scenario would be Luke turning to the dark side, killing Darth Vader, and becoming Sidious' new apprentice. That doesn't really change the status quo compared to doing nothing for 20 years. If you feel guilty about failing the galaxy, you should at least try to atone by making it a better place.
