I haven't played or recorded anything for around 20 years but I'm getting back into making music again. I only recorded on tape the most I ever had was a 12 track recorder but I found I got some of the best results using loops and 3 stereo system tape decks the time syncing was a nightmare but when it worked it was the warmest fuzzy lofi magic. If you can sort out the set up I would highly recommend it.
i compose and sing music, and do a lot of writeups in diff genres but i luv shoegazeee. i just recently found out this kind of music, and i instantly fell in love with it. thank you for all the information!
I just released my album GIANT YELLOW EYES 🎉 Also Loop is part of the album, so feel free to check it out: Listen to "Loop" on Spotify: tinyurl.com/loopunkenny Download 'Loop' on Bandcamp: unkennyvalleys.bandcamp.com/track/loop Here is the full song on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/U_SYnwvEEXs/видео.html
This is so good to hear. Always struggled to show too much about my own stuff. But then I thought: I've learned most of the things I do from other artists and their music process.
I see, it’s tough to me as well to show my own music writing processes and stuff as well, it’s not easy.. But thanks for doing so! It’ll help a lot, and I can say for myself - I was into recording alternative rock music and not exactly shoegaze (I’ve always listened to it, but didn’t know much about recording) and your vlogs taught me a lot of different approaches and ideas. Thanks!
Hi Kenneth. I follow you for several years, I really enjoy of your videos. Thanks for the cool tips, you inspire me a lot and your projects are otherworldly. You have a beauty voice, the video of recording a song in 12 H. The song of that video you never uploaded it : c . And a part of all of this, I wonder if you could make a video of the multi effects pedal Zoom G2NU. Greetings From Costa Rica.

Danke Tim.
I love this, dude. Please keep it up! I love where you go into how your production is like at home and the process. It actually helps a lot.; especially for someone like me who is into wanting to record stuff.
Thank man! Such a nice content. I do this for people like you and me, who are always wondering how specific recording techniques in strange genres work. In Part #2 I hope to create an authentic lofi shoegate sound.
Finally somebody who actually tried using DR neon strings and doesn't say shit like they're really terrible. I had them a few times in different colours, they definitely don't have the greatest sound ever, but that's not the point. And for such fun they give, the sound is just right.
OMG! I just watched Terminator 1 last night a copy of a Vhs! Just for that same feeling you mention! and of course to get some inspiration from the cool synth soundtrack... But seriously I always been in love with that tape sound, and I fell in love with your pink pedals! The blue strings are looking nice as well! I enjoyed how your song is going, The bass amp pedal blew me away and this video was so exciting for me cuz I like to record the bass line on tape too! But I do it with my keyboard instead Really what a great video Kenneth! Please Don't know much about ableton or interfaces... How in the world do you transfer your cassette recordings into your laptop? I'll be so grateful if you can clear that one for me. Greetings Can't wait for part 2! PS your doggie is the cutest and fluffiest thing ever!
This was like'2011' 101 learning curve of making P.C. music for the sound of the future...lol' this squeek go's where on the 3rd track..or do I delay it.
I play all my drums by hand on soft velocity midi keyboards. First Cymbal note is always louder then the second one.. Thrid is louder then the one before and the one after...
@@GrungeIsN0tDead I'm here to answer all questions, so you're at the right place. :) On the Axiom website they say it shall have dynamic trigger pads. Have you checked these for drumming?
I have learned most of the basic chords, but I am struggling to find more. Particularly higher on the neck. What are some basic, relatively easy chords which produce a good dream pop sound? I can hear the chords I need in my head, I just don’t know what they are called, and how to play them. Any help from someone with your level of expertise would be greatly appreciated.
@@berlinshoegazer Thanks. I have watched these videos. Please listen to Dawn by Mellonta Tauta. I suspect you will love it. It’s just PURE Shoegaze. Kind of what I want to eventually get to sound wise. Just need advice on how to accomplish that.
Hello,i'm a noob for guitar.i almost know nothing about effect stuff and want to make cool shoegaze sound like MBV,Slowdive. do you think it's possible to make sound like that only using one multi effector?or should i purchase more pedals? thank you in advance.
The cool thing about shoegaze is that you can use whatever you like. No matter how cheap or expansive the gear is. I got.amazing results with just one Multistomp and tbh.. I still would prefer a multstomp pedal over seperate pedals as the sound quality is amazing nowadays.
I am trying to make music on live11 no plug in’s and no bass but a guitar pitched down. Idk what to do but i seem to not be able to get a good sound, and also everything is di
Lately I only play directly into the interface as the noisy fuzz sound is harsher and gets warm again in a cassette four track recorder. But it always depends on what I want to archieve. I talk about that in Part #2.
The singing goes hard

Dude I've been wanting to make an Ultraman themed pedal for years, that's cool as hell!
I remember bragging about having 3 pedals back in 08' to Nebbie Loon in a Wild Gunmen Collab..
This is a very helpful video. Thanks!
Amazing vid you have such a good production, keep it up!
Thank you, Emilio. 🙏
I like the ‘cabling music’ too!

DADGAD I suppose. Not quite sure anymore tbh.
What tuning is the intro in?
Is that a drum machine built into his jag?????
Kind of. It is a sampler player that I also use for drums.

When recording bass and guitar - so you mic up or play directly into the interface?
