This video, along with the one created by Rabea, are pretty essential for anyone planning on using this pedal. It is a bit tricky to set up at first, and the manuals don’t provide a lot of help assigning CC’s. It’s a great pedal for what it does, and has made my experience making music much more enjoyable.

Works with Nektar Widiflex bluetooth MIDI with "white" communication. Connects automatically after power off to the preamp and I can control all the parameters I need at the moment with a footswitch (CTL) attached to it. Phone App is very easy to change settings.

Great video! I have a problem with this pedal! I use it with the plugins on the iPad and I practically assigned the cc 11 to the expression pedal to have an excursion of the gain overdrive, mix delay etc etc while to the swich I assigned the cc 95 to activate the Wha! The problem is that when I activate the Wha and go up and down with the pedal, all the values assigned with the cc11 also intervene !! So the Wha works but of course the gain of the overdrive also goes from 0 to 100 every time the pedal goes up and down! Is all this normal?
Hi Dan! Great video. Do you know whether there is any way to use this pedal along with the Boss FS-1-WL? Or will the Bluetooth signal from one pedal block any other wireless device attempting to connect to the Bluetooth receiver? FYI I’m using a Widi jack.
I bought this pedal and I bought a Boss SY 200. I plugged in the TRS cable into the side of the Expression pedal into the back of the SY 200 and nothing happened. Is this how it's supposed to work ? There's nothing online that tells you how to hook this up, so I'm not sure if it's broken or I have it hooked up wrong. Not sure how else I'd plug it in though. Don't the other outputs go to your computer ? Hopefully you can walk me through it. Thanks !
I’ve got a fishman tripleplay MIDI pickup on my guitar, could I use this pedal to control a specific knob on a VST synth? Edit: I should have watched the whole video before impulsively commenting lol
Does not work. Won’t pair with anything. Their customer service is a disaster. They basically have none. They will send you an email full of instructions that still don’t work. Zero in person help. Sent it back after 1 day. Never buying boss again.
I haven’t had any problems with it so far. It’s also physically impossible for an expression pedal to suck tone as no audio signal passes through it 🤷♂️
That pedal is a marvel! My picky Neural DSP plugins await for its arrival! 🤩

2:44 white LED (Central) is for connecting to an instrument (Peripheral). On FS-1-WL there is a dip switch instead of a double press.

Could it be used with BIAS FX 2 on iPad?
I would assume so! As long as it will let you assign midi. If it works with other midi pedals, it will work with this.

I’m curious how you were trying to set it up? We had no problems with any device we tried it on.
Buyer beware: complicated setup and mediocre performance. Sucks the tone too.

@@DanLeggatt perhaps "suck" is not the correct word but the tone suffers when engaged.
