- Solving limits is a key component of any Calculus 1 course and when the x value is approaching a finite number (i.e. not infinity), there are only a couple techniques we need to learn in order to solve them. In this video Mike walks through examples for the three main techniques:
Factor & Cancel
Multiply by the Conjugate
Common Denominator
I did not know I had to study limits for the exam that begins in just about 2 hours for me, this here is a lifesaver man
this is happening to me rn, I have an exam in 3 hours, and just understood how to solve limits.
Ayo same its 3:05 am rn lmao
so relatable, my exam starts in 4 hours too lol
Do you guys not ready your syllabus???
Teachers are not always clear with what they are testing. Esp. in high school.@@jxsn8230
You didn’t miss any parts out thinking that we already knew it. Thank you very much
i have no idea why i am in an engineering course, so thank u 4 this
Thank you so much. This video was brief, easy to follow, and helped me a lot.
Clear, quick, and efficient. Thanks for the easy to understand lesson, made limits a whole lot easier for me!
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you.
Omg thank you, I’ve seen so many videos and this one just made sense to me
Ok mudi ulpa victur
learned more in this 5 min video than in the last 3 months of learning calc
love how this video was layed out thank you
this made sense primarily because i have been watching a hotch potch of vids on the subject and gleaning a little from each. Nice teaching style btw.
Perfect video explaining common roadblocks to limit problems!
Short but very informative,It's easy to follow as long as you have a strong foundation
Simple yet effective! Thank you so much!
this video made the limit solution is too much easier. tqvm
thank you very much even 5 years later
Thank you so much Sir for sharing your knowledge! it really helps me a lot! God bless!
Five (5) Ways to Solve Limits
1. Factorization Method
2. Rationalization method
3. Substitution Method
4. Standard Limits method (Formula method)
5. Substitution again (Change of variable.
this is so helpful, you are better than my prof
this guy is a genius!!!!! how did I not know these
Anyone else watching right before an exam?
Absolutely 😂
Brief and efficient! Thanks!
Thanks for the best video. I understood the limits topics ✨✨
The conjugate he did was basically a similar of rationalizing the denominator
Edit- Thanks so much you saved me from failing
This made things so much easier
Helped a lot, thank you!
Thank you for my mind clean
Cue Eagles Tune on repeat "Why don't Take it to the Limit? Take it to the Limit One more Tiiiiiiimmmmmmmeeeee! " Thank you Mr. Mike!
Thank you sir for solving doubts.
Thanks helped a lot
Thanks i subcribe....you explaine so well
Thanks from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Sirr. You are great
this vid is good ..does assume you have basic understanding of some terms not explained eg anti derivative which is to be expected to keep the vid concise. And on point.
Very clear. Thanks
Thank you Sir ❤
I still don't get how u get (x- 2) (x+5) at the top
It's given x^2 + 3x - 10 right?so
= x^2 + 5x - 2x - 10
= x(x + 5) -2(x+5) (taking common)
= (x - 2) (x+5)
He factorised the numerator
Thanks for your sharing of math
Thanks 😊🙏
Thank you so much 🥰
Good work, could I say when a function itself is not able to produce output at a specific input and it haults the operation at a specific x value. To overcome this situation we take help from the limit and limit helps us to take out of this situation. After calculating the limit value we GIVE THIS VALUE TO THAT FUNCTION WHICH WAS Not PRODUCING ANY OUTPUT AT SPECIFIC INPUT??? iF THIS IS THE CASE THEN can say that function and limit both are different BUT it is the limit which helps the function which was trapped on a specific value and now because of limit function is able to walk smoothly again?? In a result could I say that whenever a function trapped in an undefined situation, we have to bring in LIMIT at this point?? please help me out! thanks.
thank you so much sir
Good afternoon, sir. I have a worry and that is when you expand the parentheses of (x-5) and root of (x+4)+(3) you will end up having 3 as your answer but when you just cancel out without expanding the parentheses, you will end up having 6 as your answer. If you could please clarify that for me, thank you!
Super bro really awesome
On problem no 2, how did you arrive at denominator (x-5) which canceled the numerator?thanks for the video
x+4-9 => (x-5) just normal addition of numbers.
THANK YOU!
Thnk u so much man
Thanks,i really like it to join you indeed
Good job bro. 👍
Thanks a lot man
how did you factor the numerator in the first one? did you use a specific method?
its a quadratic equation ax^2 +bx +c X^2 +3X -10 where we need two nembers that if you multiply you get (-10) but if we combine we get (3) so 5 and (-2) are two numbers if you multiply you get (-10) but if you combine you get 5-2=3
Thanks a lot for this video
I'm gonna fail my exam nice
Please can you answer this question for me, lim or x approx 3x+1÷3x
but I don't understand where did you put the denominator x
I wish I had seen this video sooner
Bro soo nice
Thanks bro
THIS IS LIT THANK YOU
hey thanks mate
cheers!
got It man
ur a god
Your probably not here but thanks a bunch
how do you solve limit x->0 2x/sin(x)
Ask the problem 😑
Damn that’s the easiest way😨
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥
Hes so cute omg
💋💋💋💋💋
mista sean marden ngrboiboiboi3bo
i did not understand a thing man im done with maths
If you have time(as in you don’t have an exam coming up in a few days) and you want to understand check out professor Leonard he explains most of these concepts smoothly
