    Hi Mike, my ADD usually makes it harder to follow along with a lot of details of things I don't have a whole lot of interest in, or didn't know I did, and/or the technical side of things I don't totally understand and I get lost in the details along the way, then lose interest, but have to say that I believe you are a very good explainer/teacher when describing pretty much everything you do, so it is easy for me, and probably a whole lot of others, to follow and understand what's going on with everything. I appreciate that side of your personality, with not only being very knowledgeable on so many subjects, but also sharing and simplifying the processes so most people can follow along.
    After watching your channel for years, I've learned you're a planner and don't leave anything to chance, or any rock unturned, that could be hiding a snake under it to come back and bite you later. I can not even imagine, while sitting here right now, the amount of research you had to do on all the different mechanical systems, with all the reminder notes for each, and the structural engineering marvel/s you have created throughout the Patey dream home.
    With seeing DRACO every time I watch your channel, I often wonder if there are plans in the future to build another, or is SCRAPY the alternate replacement with enhanced features, that best suits your needs? I sure did like DRACO, and it's climb rate off the deck, but if I were in your shoes, not sure I could build another DRACO, that might remind me of the "what ifs" of the day the huge wind guest pushed DRACO so hard to the right, immediately after take off, making straight and level impossible, especially so low to the ground. You all stay safe..."Back to work!!🙂

    Looking good Mike. If those peristaltic pumps fail, I would replace them with a nice Stenner. You should have a decent amount of run time on the elements. I would also do a second containment if they do fail. Atleast the chemicals will not be all over the place. Some of the pumps have a knockout or extra port for a drain tube, but they never work. I’m not sure injecting the acid and chlorine so close together is ideal if you have the space. I would also inject the acid first. Those checks at the injection points might be a pain along with build up of calcification at the points. They do make injection “quills” which are nice. They put the flow of the chemical directly in the middle of the pipe for better mixing and less buildup. utilize “water treatment” grade materials and mechanical items. It seems like a lot of “pool” grade or labeled products just don’t last or are less superior to what we use in the large scale water and wastewater treatment industry. Love you guys. Keep up the amazing work.

    I'd like to see the pool floor move and how that is all supposed to work. Especially so people can't get trapped underneath. I've had a hard time conceptualizing that.

    • @savage6394
      @savage6394 5 месяцев назад

      Lol, what part is hard to conceptualize?
      Picture a mesh floor that is able to move up and down through the water. There isn’t an easy to access way of getting under that movable platform. If you were swimming and someone started raising the floor it would simply push you up through the water.

    • @TomInGulfBreeze
      @TomInGulfBreeze 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@savage6394 Apparently it's pretty hard to visualize, since your description is way off from what Mike has already described in these videos. The floor he's said he was going to install is a floating solid platform held down by a cable system. It's not installed yet as far as I can see.There's supposed to be a curtain that comes up with it to keep anyone from being able to swim under it from the shallow end when it's all the way up.

    • @wynbarkema3922
      @wynbarkema3922 5 месяцев назад

      @@TomInGulfBreeze That's what I thought he had said. If I remember correctly, it is also supposed to be able to come up out of the water to make solid surface in that area.

    Mike mentioned the frisbee golf course nearby so I did a map search to see his neighborhood. The light curtain would only have been a nuisance to people walking directly across the river and that was enough to stop the stadium project. I like that he took it down but no mention of it is odd.
