to be honest, despite being the 'weakest' Vocalist in LOONA - Vivi has the most soothing tone.

i think that she’s just not as strong on the main things people rank one- she’s not the best singer (though i wouldn’t rank her worst) and she’s a weaker dancer (but improving so much- she absolutely nailed burn!) but she’s one of the best visuals and apparently (don’t quote me on this tho) she’s a great rapper too, she just needs to improve her korean before she can become a regular rapper. but she’s definitely one of the hardest-working and sweetest members, and it wouldn’t be loona without her!!

Her voice is high, but it has a raspiness to it which makes it seem lower and more grown up
@@crispyaccount598 She actually has a wide range. It's clear that her voice is underdeveloped because of her age, but she can hit low notes very well. She isn't at Olivia's level, but I would say she's at par with Heejin in her low register.

agree with yeojin's placement but for her age her voice is pretty low. I think by the time she's a full adult she will have one of the lowest voices in the group with olivia.

Yes, I have listened to her sing. I’m sorry if my analysis on her is not accurate enough since I did rush to make the video.
I disagree with the no emotion thing for Olivia's voice. I feel like she can has a bunch of emotion just she is given the most calming and no too powerful notes in songs. If you look at loona studio covers though her voice pops off and is full of emotion. I think bbc in the future need to give the sub vocalists a bit more of a chance to show what they can really do in general in loona.
Agree with this. I think her only problem is that she gets off-pitch sometimes.
She definitely lacks emotions in her in her comfortable register. She sing just to sing and doesn't create any art with her singing unless she's high in register, because it actually requires her to try.

12. ViVi: I think this is one that everyone can agree on. She kinda doesn’t really change between tones and hasn’t showed much, but her chest voice is obviously under developed as it’s very airy.
11. Go Won: I feel like she has the same issue as ViVi but with falsetto. She’s trying to hit a part of her voice that seems unnatural or just isn’t there. Whenever she switches it up her tone can be very nice though.
10. Olivia Hye: I feel like she’s the only vocalist in LOONA that’s actually a bit overrated. Yeah Egoist sounds nice but if you think about it it’s pretty uniform range wise. And when she’s singing live in that lower tone it’s pretty much not consistent and very shaky.
9. HyunJin: even though she actually is airy like everyone likes to mention that doesn’t mean she’s a bad singer. Unlike let’s say Go Won I feel like she has taken time to develop her “airy” voice and can hit pretty nice notes with it.
8. YeoJin: definitely the most underrated member in all of LOONA without a doubt. She can hit those falsetto notes well and has the lowest range out of any member in LOONA. Not to forget that in her duet with HaSeul she showed that she can actually belt.
7. JinSoul: i think that with the Odd Eye Circle girls is where my list gets a little weird. During OEC promotions I was huge believer that JinSoul was the best vocalist in OEC but now things have kinda changed. I actually feel like she’s never really shown that much of a range live, and I feel like her technique is somewhat damaging to her voice? When she sings it almost sounds like she didn’t warm up correctly. But she still has great attributes like being able to belt and having a nice (studio) range.
6. Choerry: she’s definitely improved the most since OT12 debuting which was really nice. She has a very soothing voice that isn’t too airy or too chesty, it kinda reminds me of Joy from Red Velvet or Sunny from Girls’ Generation. I’d say her and Kim Lip have similar techniques and what they can do but Choerry seems to know her limit which leads us to...
5. Kim Lip: She is so confusing to me. She has a great range but a lot of the time she can seem messy and pushes herself in ways that make her strain. It’s like if you combined JinSoul and Choerry’s voices and techniques. All of OEC are always evolving and changing so I could honestly switch all of them up to any order and find it reasonable.
4. Yves: I feel like she’s one of those singers you just know are good. She definitely has a lot of promise and I can’t fault her for anything in specific. I do wish she showed more of her falsetto and lower notes though as I think she usually just gets chestier lines. She can also belt.
3. HeeJin: a better vocalist than most seem to give credit for. She’s improved a lot stability wise but she’s always been good, but especially since LOONA studio I’d say her techniques have shined in ways they didn’t before. She has a great range having a deep voice that can go high. And I’d also argue that she’s the most effortless belter in all of LOONA, while still managing to execute said belts.
2. HaSeul: I think everyone knows HaSeul is a great vocalist. I’d argue that when it comes to just soprano notes overall she’s one of the best in all of kpop and that of course comes from her operatic training. She definitely struggles with being comfortable singing non operatic songs ,AKA all of LOONA’s discography, (except Let Me in which makes sense) so I’d say she’s still finding her pop/R&B/modern voice. And with that comes developing her lower range that she has probably avoided in the past.
1. Chuu: her technique really does shine through in not just LOONA but also compared to other main vocalists in the industry. Singing seems like second nature to her and she can hit very low notes and very high notes. The only major criticism for her seems to be her sometimes getting a bit shouty when belting THOSE notes (we all know which ones I’m referring to lol) but I believe with practice those could become as easy to her as coming up with new hearts.

My opinion :
1. Chuu (her technique is really good and developed, her voice isn't as breathy or nasal as the other members, although her voice can sound a bit shaky sometimes)
2. Haseul (really good technique, very developed head voice, her nasal voice is her charm lol, pretty much equal with Chuu)
3. Jinsoul (she has a good technique, sometimes she lacks confidence but she's very good, she didn't show her full capability yet)
4. Heejin (overall good singer, nice belts)
5. Yves (good technique, really nice tone, sounds a bit shaky at times)
6. Kim Lip (really good belts and runs, nice tone, sounds a bit nasal, didn't really show much of her low register)
7. Choerry (she has good technique, she can belt but lacks confidence, really good pitch and tone)
8. Hyunjin (really airy voice but has good breath control, good belts and lower notes, decent technique)
9. Olivia Hye (decent technique, has pitch problems, really good lower notes, wide range)
10. Gowon (soft voice, hasn't shown much technique but has a lot of potential)
11. Yeojin (under developed voice, has a lot of potential too, child like voice)

Thank you for ranking Yves so high! She’s so underrated in vocals - she has a beautiful tone with a slight raspiness. She can project well when focused and is so stable most of the time.
Dancing is her passion, so she clearly focuses on that so much more - but if she didn’t, she’d be an even greater main vocal

It scares me that people choose Chuu over Haseul when Haseul has pretty much proved her self without doubt. I love Chuu but during live Promotions of HH she dodge the note, or made it into some falsetto note that was half-ass. Even during the studio concert where she didn’t dance as hard, she struggle to belt the note that she should’ve of easily hit. Also the fact Hyunjin is so low. She might be airy but she’s sustainable for her range versus Olivia who confidence in higher note is non existent.
Chuu hit her High Hi high note in every single music show stage except for one. I do agree that Haseul's technique is more well developed and that she's a slightly better singer overall, but Chuu did not perform as badly as you're making it seem.
I mean, the whole choreo of HH is them jumping a lot, and they are still rookies. Tbh i don’t really expect chuu to belt out every high note in each performance as she’s jumping around so much and since they would been doing promotions a lot, it would probably for her to save her voice and not lose it.
It's not entirely fair to judge a singer's vocal abilities based on a performance with fast choreo. There are plenty of acceptable reasons for vocalists to modify or dodge notes during live shows, which does not mean they can't hit the note or support it under normal conditions.
Pure singing and singing while performing should not be judged equally.
Say it louder. I love Chuu, but Haseul has the best live performances and it hurts to say this but people rely heavily on Chuu's studio belts. When she sings the high note in Hi High she's the only one who doesn't jump, so that part was made for her to belt. Even when she performed Heart Attack at Idol Radio, she gave a half ass performance and although they asked her to play around, other idols who've been asked to do the same in other episodes never skipped the whole singing parts. Haseul might have been nasal in the past (she almost completely lost her nasality since LOONA Studio and even in XX), but she keeps improving and doing her best when it comes to sing, despite all the unnecessary criticism. Chuu is really famous and loved, everybody (me included) still love her even if she plays around and skips some notes, but she needs to develope her live performances. 1/3 is a unit that never had loud back vocals (although they never had hard choreos either), they always sang live and I'm saying this in order to agree that Hyunjin is a very stable vocalist too.

i know nothing of vocals so this is just an opinion based on my gut pretty much
1. chuu & haseul. i think haseul's technique is amazing (her experience stands out a lot even without her whole opera thing) and i feel like chuu's voice is supported really well and she has the most experience range wise. when i think of loona's vocalists it's always these two that come to mind.
2. kim lip. i feel like she has good range, and she had a really impressive note in stylish that made up my mind about her lol
3. yves. she has. SO. MUCH. CONFIDENCE. when performing new live, even if she didn't have the greatest support, she did the high notes and everything while the rest of the girls lipsynched.
4. heejin. she improved a LOT. i feel like predebut she didn't really stand out to me. she was stable and good and that was that. but now, she's a very good vocalist and a charming center, but i feel like her voice could use a lil bit more power (her high notes feel thin, if that makes sense)
5. jinsoul. overall, she has the complete package: good range, nice tone, confidence and power. she's the most complete vocalist in the group imo but i feel like she lacks technique.
6. choerry. like the video, it's plain as day that she lacks a lot of confidence, but she's actually so good??? her voice is so sweet but it doesn't lack in power, and she doesn't fall short in terms of range (high note in high high and low note in lcm). she's so impressive.
7. go won. her voice is really airy and high but she manages to control it, and she has a beautiful voice color. she has a lot to learn on actual technique tho.
8. olivia hye. her low notes are very good and her high voice is cute but there isn't much there. i feel like her low tones and charisma make up for her lacking in middle and high tones. her middle notes are bland and her high notes are often not supported at all. but she has a lot of good potential.
9. hyunjin. her voice is so airy but she's actually so much better at higher notes now, after the latest cb i've been so impressed with her improvement and surprising voice color.
10. yeojin. she lacks a lot of experience but i firmly believe her low notes are the best in the group. she has a pleasant voice and i really love her tone.
12. vivi. her voice is soft but to me it feels like it's not only her voice color that makes her singing so soft, but also her huge lack of confidence and her unfortunate lack of experience. but i will stand by my opinion that she has one of the better voice colors in the group. at the beginning of my orbit journey, i found her voice so plain and unrecognizable, but now i'm really impressed with her and i love her voice a lot.

1. Chuu (most consistent support. can only use falsetto but her falsetto is very pretty, and she transitions in and out of it very nicely! also she can fuckin BELT like yes queen. she drops support in the third octave a lot but for the most part she is consistent in the fourth.)
2. Haseul (loona’s best head voice! her transitions in and out of HV are great and although she doesn’t belt very often she’s still good when she does. she is kinda nasally though but that seems stylistic bc she used to be way less nasal. her support isn’t as consistent as chuu’s but she’s had some great moments)
3. Kim Lip (underrated!! while she is nasally, a lot of what people consider her extreme nasality to be is really just her natural voice. but she actually does show breath support decently! while there aren’t many live examples of her agility she shows a lot of good stuff in studio and her voice sounds like it has an affinity for runs)
4. Heejin (one of loona’s best belters. she shows the most agility in 1/3 and has nice transitions between falsetto, chest and mix. however she lacks consistent breath support which keeps her from being above kim lip)
5. Jinsoul (honestly she’s almost equal to heejin, i just prefer heejin’s tone + heejin seems more agile. she’s a very good belter but lacks breath support.)
6. Yves (she has a very nice tone and good belts but doesn’t have consistent breath support and she’s very nasally. there aren’t many examples of her agility to judge unfortunately but she has a light voice which usually means more ease for runs.)
7. Olivia Hye (despite being a subvocal she’s actually got a very nice tone and ease in her range. i like her voice a lot!)
8. Choerry (honestly she’s underrated for her vocals. she lacks confidence in her voice and a lot of her registers are underdeveloped but she shows a LOT of potential; hell she did all the belts in LCM and slayed. i hope bbc trains her well!)
9. Yeojin (i really disagree with your saying that she can’t do low notes, because honestly she seems like a mezzo or very low soprano for me. queen’s speaking voice can hit D3s it’s incredible, her voice is really low naturally but it sounds higher in her solo because she was going for a cuter sound.)
10. Hyunjin (she used to have a lot of pitch issues in mixnine but she’s grown since then and now she’s one of loona’s best when it comes to staying on pitch! she also harmonises well, mostly with heejin and her tone is very soft and sweet.)
11. Gowon (lots of nasality but let me tell you she’s something else. little to no vocal training and she can fucking belt a G5 what even, bbc give her some fucking good lessons bc with training and that natural talent she can be incredible)
12. Vivi (poor baby lacks confidence in her voice but it’s actually quite pretty and i love her solo. she’s got a softer, cuter voice which fits her perfectly and although she lacks technique i hope she gains confidence more as she learns korean. she has a lot of potential)

12: ViVi (same reason as the video, I love her vocal color though. I also have to mention that she also obtain some vocal technique as well, she just need to improve those.)
11: Olivia Hye (even though her range is huge, she lacks confidence and her voice is a little nasally to me sometimes. Plus, she's inconsistent in hitting some notes.)
10: GoWon (she lacks vocal technique but her color--I mean her vocal color is distinctive. She also belted a G (?) in her solo song but her voice is mostly airy and nasally. She's also inconsistent in hitting high notes and whenever she hits it, it wasn't supported well. Plus she kinda lack the confidence as well as OHye)
SN: sorry princess, I still love you and you're still my bias but yeah..
9: Yeojin (it's honestly between Hyunjin and Yeojin but I chose Yeojin since she kinda lack a lot of experience in performing live. I mean, the girls lipsynch in their performances most of the time but the only time I've heard her voice in the actual was in the concerts and some fansign clips. On the other hand, her voice is well-developed for her age and she's really confident in what she does so that's a plus point)
8: Hyunjin (Her voice is mostly airy, but she can support her notes pretty well. I just wish she have more power in her voice bc her vocal range goes quite high.)
7: Choerry (SHE. LACKS. CONFIDENCE. Just like what the video pointed out, she kept on dodging some notes on her song and whenever she tries to sing it, it's on her aiey falsetto voice.
In out of all the low ranking members, Choerry for me is the saddest one bc I know that she has a LOT of potential. She already have the technique, she got a range that's just right for her, and she can hit notes nicely and with support. All she need is confidence.)
6: Yves (I've seen her potential on the concert clips and honestly she has a good range and technique for a dancer. She just... How do I word this one? Um, her transition from one type of voice--ie. normal tone to falsetto & vice versa--is kinda inconsistent, plus whenever she does that her voice goes to airy)
5: Kim Lip (She have one of the few members who have an excellent vocal color and range, but lack some techniques. Like some of her high notes are airy and most of it aren't supported right.)
4: Heejin (her KOMS performance blew me away because she showed her range and voice power. However, her high notes weren't sustained and supported.
3: Jinsoul (an underrated main vocal material. Since BBC wanted her to focus more on the rap most of the time, we only got to her her vocals on some tracks, in wish she were treated as a main vocal most of the time. Her vocal color and technique is excellent and I have viewed some of her predebut singing videos to justify the previous statement. I honestly have nothing to say--wait. Her voice is like Kim Lip sometimes in terms of voice transition inconsistency.)
2: Chuu (her vocal color to me is inclining to a child's and that's good but she doesn't have enough stability even when she's just doing minimal movements. She depends on her falsetto too much and it's sometimes her downfall (I saw that clip of her from LOONA Studio reaching Hi High's highest note and she failed doing so) but her confidence in performing redeems it all.) She also tends to shout at time when she has to hit some high notes like the one at Hi High during LOONA Studio)
Edit: I mostly pointed out some things on Chuu since there's nothing more to say since people ranked Chuu as the first... But for me she already had the range and technique figured out, she just have to develop it into a better one.
1: Haseul (not being biased but she didn't study opera for her to be not ranked in 1. Her vocal technique is there and i got no question about that, her vocal color is not as unique as other members but it is quite distinctive. The big buts are 1. She lacks confidence which is understandable bc fuck YG seriously and 2. Her sustainability is kinda questionable when choreography is added. Though her advantage is that when she's steady, she can hit any note she like and she also have a huge voice range.
Before y'all go and question my ranking, I have presented some reasonings + I have some vocal training & experience bc I'm also a performer just like them (only in local though, and not in showbizness apparently)
Lugar Feliz I mean Haseul studied opera and can hit very high notes when she’s not moving, you have to credit her that, Chuu tends to shout a little bit and both have to solve their stability problems. To me they’re on the same level but with different problems to work with.
Also, I love haseul’s voice, so I think it depends on the person and it shouldn’t be considered to rank them.
haseul gets a tad nasal while hitting high notes or belting DUE to her studying opera, thats why most people rank chuu as the best in loona. haseul is an AMAZING vocalist, but chuu is very slightly better.

Yes, Chuu has the technique, range and color but like the rest of LOONA she has some inconsistencies as well. And she's faced as the group's Main Vocal, along with Haseul.

Personally, this is how I would rank them:
1. Chuu
2. HaSeul (I think Chuu and HaSeul are basically equal; I have trouble picking between their techniques because they're both good!)
3. JinSoul (She has amazing range and power and needs more recognition for her vocal skills)
4. HeeJin (Very consistent with good technique. Sounded amazing on masked singer!)
5. Yves (Definitely has a good voice but can get a bit breathy at times)
6. Kim Lip (Really unique tone and ability to do runs, but can be nasal/inconsistent)
7. Choerry (While it's true that she is a bit unconfident, I think she is totally underrated for her consistency and ability to stay on pitch. If you check out Loona Studio she is always solid, which I think is an underappreciated skill for a vocalist. Additionally, she has a good range. Overall I think she has the best technique of the non-vocal line.)
8. HyunJin (Though her voice is on the softer side, she also has great breath support and even though she is more of an alto has great control over her belts. Such an underrated vocalist in my opinion)
9. YeoJin (Obviously her voice is still developing but she has such a unique tone, especially for someone so young. Her range is getting better and better and I'm excited to see more lines for her!)
10. Go Won (Yes, her voice is light, but she seems to stay on pitch well. And let's not forget that she did belt a high G in One & Only!)
11. Olivia Hye (Personally I don't think she has very good technique. Even in the clip you showed of her at the radio show, she fails to hit many of the notes and is a bit all over the place. Admittedly it was pretty low, so maybe she just started on the wrong note though? She has had better moments, like at Loona Studio, but I think she still has a lot of work to do and is pretty inconsistent)
12. ViVi (Pretty much the same as this video; she is new to Korean and to singing and is still developing her technique)
Note: I don't hate Olivia Hye at all, I just wanted to explain why I placed her so low compared to this video. I think she does have a unique tone (basically the alto version of Go Won lol) and I'm sure she will keep improving!

I would have placed Olivia on a lower ranking tho, she doesn't seem to do well on high notes and her voice is underwhelming. dizzyboj hitting a G5 is actually hella easy when you have a hella high voice. Like I’m 19 and my voice never changed much (I speak around a Bflat4 naturally) and gowon speaks WAY higher than me. It seems like she has maybe an octave and a half as far as range which is below average by half an octave.

cheorry and olivia are pretty interchangeable for me tbh, cheorry's lower register is pretty average and she lacks strength in her voice, olivia's voice lacks emotion but her lower register is quite good, when she sings high her voice sounds really weird to me? i can't tell if she gets a bit nasal or if her tone is just weird.

i actually agree with most of what you said, but it's not only about tone what's really important about vocals that you seem to rank girls by it. also, i don't think gowon has a limited range. i've seen her lowest in seesaw, which was an e3 if i'm remembering correctly, and she goes up to a b5 in one&only. she also have belted a g5 in her solo.

Actually Haseul sings all the parts in Hi High, she is credited as a co producer in it, she harmonizes, backs and make shadow notes. There is a live which they couldnt use backvocal track then she did what she does best!
