I'm about to throw it WAY BACK!! Coral, Mike the Miz, Katie, Jisela, Steve, Adam, Blair, etc. were all on a casting special back in the day that you can find here on RUclips. I watched it again a month ago after close to 15 ish years!! They all met for a few days in some villa and then 7 were chosen for the Real World and another 6 or 7 were chosen for Road Rules. Fun fact, it's funny to see Katie is the group of people not chosen for any show but knowing that she goes on to become a legend lol.
It really sucks that some of the people like fessy Anessa Devin are in this cast the people I feel will saved all stars 5 will be Shane Davonne amber frank KellyAnne and Jenn
Frank being back just made my day....he was one of the people who really made me comfortable accepting my sexuality growing up...even though his worst I was still rooting for him to turn it around so the fact he finally has the chance is PERFECT

I think season 3 when they had Kailah on they were testing the waters to see if they could get away with putting in a younger player. Now it looks like season 5 will just be an extra season on the main show. For me all stars cast should be minimum 35 and above in age. Guess nostalgia is out the window now.😢
I one million percent agree! I HATED Kailah on that season, especially with her shading the older people. I don’t find that entertaining. Put her on a show with people her age, not people her parent’s age!!!!
I think this is proof that Season 40 will be the last "flagship" season on MTV proper. All-stars will become the "new flagship" on Paramount Plus and we'll get Challenge CBS.

they should keep all stars seperate for the old ppl. if there is only one show, then the old ppl are gonna ruin the main show by being in committed relationship and too msture for drama and they suck st challenges. and the young ppl will ruin all stars by smoking the elderly and making fun of how old they are 24/7 (Kailah in AS3)
It definitly feels like they may be doing a rivals/vendettas/beefs theme. I noticed they switched out Jenn for Ashley Mitchell so I feel mixed on what thats means, but as much as I wanted to see Jenn back, I was having trouble figuring out who her rival/vendetta would be if this is the theme. But everyone else I tried to figure out possible pairings. If it is 16 duos (with 5 men still left to be revealed) I think it will be 10 male/female then 3 female/female and 3 male/male duos. My predictions with what we've got so far: - Ashley K/Sam, Beth/Jonna, Nicole/Sylvia - Dario/Devin, * one male duo i think will come out of AS4 and we havnt seen the drama yet. I think it may involve Adam/Jay or Adam/Leroy even though they all seem good at the moment, *other male duo not revealed yet. - Amber/Fessy, Da'Vonne/Shane, Nany/Frank, Big T/CT, Melissa/Corey, Katie/Steve, *Veronica/Jay or Veronica/Leroy same thing how V is still on AS4 so there may be something that comes out of this season. So that leaves Aneesa, Kellyanne, and Ashley M that will probably get a male partner and then another male duo. - I am having trouble with Aneesa because she is so emerged within the show that I have no idea who she would be paired with. I am predicting maybe Alton, maybe Yes, just some strong old school male. If there are more women that are somehow supposed to be added, I would say Ruthie should be Aneesa's partner. And also I dont think they have beef, but it would be interesting to get Nam out there since hes Vietnamese, but that guy seems to have the worst luck with the show! - Kellyanne is probably going to get Cohutta as a partner since they used to date, I wouldnt be mad to see Cohutta again. - And I think we are all banking on a Ashley M/Hunter reunion even though I dont really want to see this duo back! But obviously they are an iconic rivalry - The last male/male is really in the air looking at the possible guys that could be on. Theres still hope for the OGs as Mark/Eric could actually be on I mean they are friends but it would great to have the OG Real World vs OG Road Rules rivalry on! it could be two UK guys as Ashley, Rogan, and Theo are all possible castings. It would also be interesting if its being framed like rivals but it ends up not being that and its more free agents again! Because I do feel like partnered seasons are tougher since you are bound to someone else and also AS2 was interesting because of the partners, but no offense to Jonna but I dont think anyone was predicting nor rooting for Jonna/MJ to win that season.
This is a solid assessment of the potential pairing. I am going on the Mike Lewis Pod next week to recap episode 10, but we are going to talk about potential pairings at the end.
At some point I want to go through who is in each production/casting crew, there's definitely a difference, I just wonder if it comes down to 1 or 2 specific people. There has to be something going on in some group that decides to make these seasons horrible.
@@realityrealnesss Brandon just did an interview and mentioned there were some of the same onsite production crew 15 years later when he came back, and talked about them having favorites. I wouldn't think the filming crew would have as much to do with behind the scenes casting and layout of the season, but it's kind of cool these people have been doing it for that long. It would be interesting to me to see how the season is really put together and the thought process behind it, even if they do insist on insinuating TJ was the architect who designed the challenges and finale, there's really a ton that goes into these shows behind the scenes.
Im going to hope for the best and perhaps this open casting of this AS being practically anyone who has appeared once The Challenge franchise, that perhaps even after Season 40 that the main flagship show is going to continue casting old school players. I feel like overall the fandom isnt feeling the newer era generation players with the select few favorites. So there may be a shake-up and of coarse the excitement for 40 being evebly casted amonst the eras may have re-opened their casting to bring in old school favorites again. I dont necessarily like it for All Stars with the exception for a few, but I am hopeful this means the flagship show brings in more old school players to the main show mixed with obviously a new generation of rookie players. I dont think this is 'the end of All Stars' but I do feel like the open-casting and not age-capping does hurt what the integrity of what All-Stars was built on and ironically does feel like the OGs are being 'aged out' on what should be their show. Like I know its ageist but always thought it should be only those who are like 35 and older should be casted for All Stars. However this open-ended catsing definitly means something for the main show and how they will cast in the new generation

So the news is that they completely ruined All Stars. Bummer. It's obvious what they're doing. They are taking all the C level characters needed to keep the show going and trying to grow them with the OG's. It won't work, they should just use what they have and call it quits when the rag is wrung dry.

I think they named it Allstars so they had more freedom in casting.

It's obvious what they're doing. They are taking all the C level characters needed to keep the show going and trying to grow them with the OG's. It won't work, they should just use what they have and call it quits when the rag is wrung dry.

I will not be watching I only want OG contestants from real world & fresh meat not other cbs reality shows like big brother or survivor this is not what the fans pushed for and asked Mark if these reality stars need to redemption or TV time try for survivor or the amazing race.
