- By popular request! We tested 25 suppressors and put them head to head looking at muzzle flash. See the full list of suppressors below, includes brands such as SilencerCo, PTR Industries, Huxwrx, KGM, Dead Air, Rugged, AAC B&T, Otter Creek Labs, . We tested each suppressor on 16" and 11.5" 5.56 rifles to determine performance on standard length and SBR AR15s. Thank you to Trueshot for providing ammo for this video. We used PMC X-Tac 55gr as always.

For a channel that came out of nowhere, you guys are immediately killing it with these videos. Very useful information in a no-nonsense format. Keep it up!
Couldn’t have said it any better

❤❤❤
The Project Farm of suppressors. Great job, y'all - no nonsense/gimmicks, straight value!
Thank you! =)
Thank you for supporting our community!
Can we please have a 300blk test next I love this video!!
we just built one!
Best 2A channel out there!!!! Keep killing it.
I like that you guys actually do comparisons. A lot of channels won't compare similar products because they have or want a relationship with the manufacturer and they know doing a comparison will upset one of the manufacturers they want a relationship to exploit. As a consumer, these videos are actually a breath of fresh air.
Silencer Co Velos from all your tests so far is coming in as a great allrounder can. Great vid
Thank you! We just got the K and the 762. Will begin tested on those soon. Thank you for your support.
@@Ertactical Looking forward to this..there's a big info gap out there on the cheaper low back pressure cans (Velos, Ventum, CAT etc.) how do they compare to each other and to the more expensive ones. I'd love to see more comparisons.
@@Ertactical been looking foward to a Velos K and CAT comparison!
I came to the comments just to say the same thing. Velos
Ready to see the 7.62 data
This was a great set of data points
Dang dude, this is for sure going to be a huge reference video, for years to come
Thank you, after it posted I did a search on YT and there is nothing like it. I prob should have done that first hahah glad you liked it and can use the info. thank you for the positive feed back!
The industry is changing. Pew Science and now Silencer Syndicate are giving the consumer information that goes beyond "unbiased reviews". Like you said in the video, just a few years ago, flash would not have been anything anyone really talked or thought about. We all just assumed "this will at least help reduce the flash some" and bought whatever was supposed to be quietest or toughest according to the mfg or maybe NFA Review Channel
@@quiettime6871 agreed and well said! We a happy to test and provide good information! Thank you for your continued support
Exceptional work. You guys are the best suppressor channel on the internet. No BS. No agendas. Just straight forward, balanced info. Take all my likes.
Thank you! It really does mean the world to us when people see what we’re doing. We’re going to continue this campaign to provide everyone with the knowledge we wish we had had. As well as continue to test theories that are made up in rob’s head. L O L. Thank you for your positive feedback and support.
It would be good to see a front view of the muzzle flash to see it's actual signature from that angle.
Great call! More of a enemy perspective point of view. I like that idea a lot and I think it will capture much more muzzle flash. Thank you for the positive feedback and support.
I ASKED FOR IT AND IM GETTING IT!!! Thanks so much man, you rock.
thank you for supporting us. we love doing this kind of work for people that dig the effort
Really wish CAT can send you guys some cans to showcase. Would've like to see their performance in this channel.
Me too! Thanks for the positive feedback
Absolutely incredible video. One thing often forgotten is how ammo selection helps with flash, the difference in flash between range ammo and 75gr speer gold dots or other "duty" ammo is more substantial than I would have ever expected. Like everyone else I'd like to see the CAT lineup tested. Keep up the great work!
please help us get one of those cans on the channel by asking them to get tested on this channel. they really don't respond to us. thank you for your support!
@@Ertactical Just sent them an email, hope they send one out to you guys!
@@lyl7353 wow! thank you! i ask people to help and i expect most don't.. thank you! maybe with enough of us working to gather we will make it happen.. thank you for taking the time to help us out! =)

We'll look into this, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

It worked! they emailed me last week! we are talking to them and they want to send one. I guess they don't have any tho. Silencer shop has them all. odd. maybe we will get one soon. thank you for helping us attack from dif angels
Thanks for doing these videos. Really happy with the velos
Thanks! Us too. We will prob need to go do it all again as we now have all 3 models. The 556k is amazing!
If it was out when I got the regular I'd have opted for the k. But, had a bogo going for a omega 300.
@@TnTriton225 solid call, I do love that K and it saves some ounces.. who can say no to BOGO! haha
24:34 "Exploit that muzzle flash"
Yeah Id too like to see how "bad" it will look. thank you for the positive feed back!
Definitely add a thermal camera if possible! Maybe even a night vision camera, both somewhat downrange of course. I'd prefer to see what someone downrange would see when it comes to flash.
good call, we will see what we can do
So useful to have this information to compare performance before making a purchase that is mostly a forever item. This doubtlessly takes a huge amount of time to test and post. Thanks!
Agreed! That’s how I explain this. In a way, you marry yourself to a suppressor for life. Yes there are ways out of it. But in reality, we should expect it to be a very long-term relationship. We are honored that you find the information we are providing to be useful. Thank you for your positive feedback Back and Support.
Great test Gentlemen! First video I’ve watched, instantly subscribed. Look forward to watching more!🤘🏻
Interesting comment about the circular baffle flow of one particular suppressor likely contributing to more muzzle flash. Baffle design adds another "baffling" variable to the aspect of muzzle flash.
i see what you did there hahahah
Fantastic content as always, you guys are killing it.
Two things- I'd like to see the enhanced photography option so there's a worst case scenario shown. I'd also like to see what a camera angle from downrange facing the muzzle looks like.
good call! like a enemy view, and a side view. thank you for the positive feed back!
This video is in-line with my use of the RC3 I bought and put on a 10.3”. I don’t regret it.
im not sure we watched the same video.
I don't love SF but it did well on this test
@@justinpate3466In my experience, Surefire’s claims of the RC3 having less flash than an RC2 are true.
Can't wait for you guys to finally get some stuff in from AB suppressors
Please send them an email for us. We have reached out to them a few times and I’ve gotten no response. We will rely on our teammates to make this goal.
12.5" mid-length masterrace
I love the fact you keep putting out great content that’s actually usable
58 stamps alone is a small fortune. acquiring that many suppressors takes some dedication!
it would surprise me if he or someone he knows wasn't just an SOT that can get cans form 3'd to them and not have to pay the tax on each
we are up to 70 now and many more on the way. I am NOT an SOT. I pay the 200 on each 😅 don't tell my wife🙂
@@uoislame we are up to 70 now and many more on the way. I am NOT an SOT. I pay the 200 on each 😅 don't tell my wife🙂
Thank you for your detailed videos!! To me expecting flash mitigation is mostly secondary to my true purpose of owning a suppressor. Duh sound suppression. YMMV.
100%! hahah
Great test, definitely some eye opening results. I look forward to seeing if some of the cans from the working class heroes like Aero and YHM stack up.
hahah i just picked up 3 YHM cans yesterday! your request is on the way =)
Surprised how much flash some of these cans have. Good information to have before buying.
Let’s see it exploited for muzzle flash! I think that would help have raw data for our own analysis. Thanks for what you’re doing, great data, love the channel.
Thank you so much! It really does mean so much to us that people are appreciating the time energy and money we’re putting into this channel. We truly enjoy it and we love even more the positive support.
The amount of work that would have went into a video like this is crazy. Thank you and great video!
Dude, big time! Thank you for noticing
Really appreciate the hard work and time it took to make this video!
Thank you, this was a long night and many hours of editing. thank you for the positive feed back!
CAT WB next
I love my omega 36M. Such an awesome can!
totally! as much as i don't dig, "do all" cans... I do love that one. thank you for the positive feed back!
I love what you’re doing! I’d like to see the AB A-10 suppressor on there. The way you are capturing real world info as opposed to exploiting what electronics can see is preferred - largely due to the fact that depending on which camera you are using will yield different results so it’s not very valuable - but the human eye is pretty universal. Also under NVG is great too (I know that’s a little contradictory but it’s valuable context).
hahah totally understand. I think it would be a cool side by side. thank you for the positive feed back!
Nice format. I like the “human eye” view. More real world imo.
Thanks for putting this video together!! Loved the experiment design I think it’s such an honest but still simple overall project
Thanks! it took a lot of thought but we love testing and sharing! thank you for the positive feed back!
I really appreciate all of the work that went into this. I'd love to see the visuals exploited to really exaggerate the differences for comparison. But it's also nice to know that most of them perform well to the naked eye. I'd also love to see some CAT cans.
Thank you so much! I agree. Kt is not responding to us. Please email them and let them know you would like to see their silence on our channel. They still have not responded to to us.
As usual, great job, and thanks for the chapters.
Great video bro keep it up
Appreciate you guys. I know I this takes quite a bit of time and effort 👍🏼

Looking to get a 308 can, so your video are a great help in my decision making process. Keep up the good work.
thanks man! just stated into the 6.5 / 308 and host vids
I bet this was a labor of love, good on ya for this. I’m just about at 90 days waiting on my first can, making me all the more excited for it
I am sorry, I hope Xmas is close for you. Yes, we love what we do. We love even more the support we get from sharing ❤
Outstanding content as usual, I'd like to see a night vision version as well since a ton of people are using them these days.
Good call! I think it will really bring out the muzzle flash. We’re working on a few ideas on just how to capture it. Thank you for the positive feedback and support.
Excellent Intel Bro. Keep up the good work. 🤜🏽💢🤛🏽
Thanks for watching🍻
thanks bro! =)
I'd like one camera tuned to eye-like exposure, and one set to pickup maximum flash for direct comparison from can-to-can.
That’s a great idea! Maybe we could do a third camera with night vision just to capture all the possibilities. Thank you for your positive feedback and support.
Great video again guys lots of good info and nice that I can check out each chapter and love it when you say don’t try this at home haha
hahah yea that can is for a min of 12" bbl and we did 11.5 so you know.. thank you for the positive feed back!
Thank you!
Fantastic video with excellent information. Great job! 👏🏻
I did the same thing when I was testing suppressors for flash….ran them in the darkness with no lights on. However, afterwards, I was told that when you introduce a weapon light while firing, the suppressors with more gas coming out the front have a more apparent cloud of gas reflecting off the light, which affects visibility. I’m told the same thing happened under nods without a visible weapon light on. I hadn’t thought of that when I was doing my night tests and I’d like to see that in a video. Thanks for the data.
that is a fact! Also a great vid idea! thank you for the positive feed back!
The omega 300, being an older design (and redesign later) still has a lot to offer. Almost no flash signature and pretty quiet. The night vision test will be awesome also maybe recording from some distance to see what can be picked up as if you’re doing some nighttime shanningas.
well said! i agree, for an older can it is still my fav to use as a "baseline" thank you for the positive feed back!
Ready for the A1 and A2 kgm
we just got em! will test again soon! thank you for the positive feed back!

Hahah love it! Thank you for the support.
Well thought out video. Keep it up. Thx

Awesome channel. i do prefer the approach you used to document the "real world" effect for the flash, especially if you have a NOD focused one coming up to address the other extreme / use case.
good call! thank you for your support!
Ben Avery, I recognize that range and hill!
you know it! 1k range thank you for the positive feed back!
I love your channel and I would definitely like to see more of what I should expect to see especially with the human eye and under night vision

My favorite part is where he acts like he's rather be drinking than shooting lol
hahaha well gotta have a balanced life. Thank you for the positive support! =)
Hey Rob, came across an older video that you were apart of. It was a guy with a Springfield M1A shooting out to 1000 with you as the spotter. Was really cool seeing an older video and being like, 'Hey, I recognize that guy!'.
Yep! that was me. I have actually done a few shows and other bits for the industry before launching this channel with my bud. Thank you for the support.. I use to have a line, "I know that guy" when id see my face on the HK page or similar
@Ertactical love it, man! It's cool to see your face on other channels. I thought you were new to the YT sphere, but you've made your mark for quite a few years. That 1000-yard range looks beautiful to shoot at.
@@BloodEagle. thanks man! Yes, as soon as I left private military contracting an agency picked me up to film some things. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. But I’m very happy to be doing my own thing now. Yes Ben Avery range is an amazing place where I conduct firearms training over 300 days per year.I’m lucky to say that I’m there five days a week, testing equipment and teaching classes.

Thank you =)
Velos and Ventum keep looking to be the ones I want to invest my money in, though the PTR Vent looks pretty good, too.
the Velos is amazing.. i am quickly falling in love with the 762.
Thanks!
your welcome =)
Hopefully you can add a Rugged Obsidian and Resilient Jolene to your collection.
we can reach out to them and see about getting em. Thank you!
The Rugged 5.56 is actually a .30 cal they just reconfigured for 5.56. Unfortunately out of the box its TERRIBLE until you change the end cap to the flash reducer AND the stock muzzle device to the 3 prong. Wild that out of the box you can change the end cap to a .30 call and use it on a .308 or blackout effectively and it does better.
Great video
Thank you for the positive feedback. Those are some great notes. There is some other information that we are privy to, but we have not posted because. Well simply there’s information that has not been released to the industry yet. At the end, I just measure the performance. as your noticing, some are impressive and some are not. Thank you for sharing your industry knowledge.
I know this video is 2 months old and you may have already filmed the second edition of this with different suppressors. In the event that you haven't- I would be curious to see the Gemtech ABYSS 762, Rugged SurgeX, and Rugged Radiant762
Great!
thank you for the positive feed back!
Great work! Would be interested to see night vision comparison. I will add to the votes to also please test the diligent defense enticer S and L if you can.
Great idea! Thank you for the feedback!
Would like to see some Griffin and LMT suppressors
We should have them next week ❤❤
My vote is to definitely stick with the “human eye” perspective. For me at least it’s much more valuable to know what myself or other people can and cannot see than a camera. Awesome video!
❤❤❤ thank you!! 🙌🏻
Can confirm, SiCo Velos consistency and performance is very impressive.
🔥❤️🤣
Would like to see Q suppressors included!
Great point! We reached out to him a few times and I’ve gotten a response. Maybe the channel grows will start responding to us. Thank you for your positive feedback and support.
Nice work.
I have a 36M, and as a shooter, the short config for it seems to work well, with the flash hider endcap, which I assume you used as well.
I would like to also see this test with the short config, and the NV test :)
I used the one it comes with and that is not the FH one its kinda bowed inward a little. they do have two dif models to help with flash but i used the one it came with. thank you for the positive feed back!
Thanks for the video.
Tbh i didn't find the still pictures useful. The muzzle flash was easier to identify from the video. Also removing the stills would shorten the video a bit.
yeah, I like the vid best but its extra data points for everyone. thank you for the positive feed back!
Like MrBlargeddy said , It came out nowhere ! I really did injured it
I’d like to see this test again purely under nods. I have night vision but no can.
Emulate the eye as best you can. Exploiting the full flash is like using peak Pa vs impulse time weighting. Peak Pa doesn't represent human ear response.
Also, this will be a PITA but a downrange camera would be very meaningful.
Good call, totally agree. we will do that on the next one. Thank you for the positive support! =)
Great video with awesome content! I just have one request because I always come here trying to get more info about CGS and CAT silencers but never see them! When are you guys going to do some testing in those? Thanks!
Thank you for the positive feedback and support. We reached out to them several times and I’ve gotten no response. Maybe if the channel grows larger, they’ll start communicating with us and send us one of their suppressors for testing.
yeah you need like a super high speed camera to catch the actual flash since they can happen so quickly its between frames. generally, you will see a flash even if the camera doesn't pick one up.
also, i think the rc3 has issues based on what muzzle device you use. the closed tine i think is the "right" one. idk, i'm not spending $2k on a can lol and i already got a velos.
yeah, High speed cam and night abilities it tuff. We looked at renting one but $$$$ we like what we do but we are spending lots of $ and making none. Yeah i should have said that i used a B&T closed tine FH on the RC3. good catch. thank you for the positive feed back!
Would love to see some aero precision lahar suppressors, in you’re line ups
Why test a loud suppressor?
That’s a great idea! We had one line and then things fell through and we were not able to get it. We will try again to get her hands on one.
@@EmpTy-kf2rq that’s great Intel. We don’t have one and we have not had the test one. What have your experience has been so far?
Nice job as usual. I would love to see camera angles from distance i.e. 50 100 200 yards etc or an objective observer or three to see if you are giving away your position at distance regardless of flash to the shooter or nearby observers...
Good call!!! We will see if that’s something we can do! Thanks for the positive feedback!
I would love to see the LPM Anthem S and L2 and see how they stack up. I'm especially interested in the Anthem L2 versus the venerable Nomad L for the best 30 cal can for sound suppression.
Great call! We’ll see what we can do. Thank you for the positive feedback and support.
I love the "human's eye" approach. Maximizing camera's eye means nothing in a practical sense. Human's eye or night vision are the two most likely receptors for muzzle flash.
totally agree! thank you for the positive feed back!
Great video. the razor was angy, that had to be a lot of work. Tequila was well deserved after all that
Thank you! You’ve got to know, I love my tequila.
Im fine with the "what the naked eye sees".... BUT HUXWRXs is a prime example where tuning the camera hides some flash, or sparks in this case, that would be important info to the buyer/shooter. So.... my $0.02 would be to show ALL the flash, both seen and unseen, but drescibe to the viewers what you are seeing during filming. As im sure many have mentioned already, there will be concern of flash signature under night vision, and im sure if you do any footage of this, it will capture all those nitty gritty details
Thats a great idea, we were talking and thats what were were thinking... just like you said... shoot it and talk about why I, as the shooter see on each can.. love the feed back thank you!
The velos is very impressive. I want to know how the k version does though. And when are you getting cat suppressors!
Great stuff as always.
the K is killer! vid to come.. still not cats.. please email them and let em know you want a review by us. they still have not responded to us
@@Ertactical will do homie, appreciate you
@@thestacche6898 thank you! 🙏
Another great video, you can see the titanium suppressors sparking more than the others. Good job on the test. An over the shoulder view would also be great. 👍🏼 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the positive feedback, that’s a great idea! More of a shooters perspective angle.
Finally.🎆
It would be great if you added another camera angle. This one from the front showing that MAXIMUM AMOUNT of flash the user produces.
Setting should be to what the normal eye would see at that time of night.
Damn, I knew my 36m didn't flash but that was surprising. Question for ya: Did you use the internal flashhider end cap on the Silencer Co. 36M? I've noticed under NVG it has almost no flash with that endcap on.
there are two FH caps, one goes inside and the other out, I used none of them, just the one it comes with. thank you for the positive feed back!
Does PMC X-Tac 55gr have flash reducing powder like most self defense ammo has? Would be curious to see how drastic the difference is between your standard range ammo vs ammo designed to have low flash.
good q! IDK.. I am using the ammo you mentioned and I don't think its sold as "defensive ammo" but how it stacks up to say hornady TAP ammo would be a killer test..thank you for the positive feed back!
Excellent content, can’t wait to see the Griffin Armament stuff.
Thank you for your positive feedback and support. It looks like those Suppressors should arrive next week. We will add them to our testing.
Hi there, can you do a review of Cadex Defence Compact Titanium suppressor?
Solid call, I didn’t even think to reach out to them yet. I will.
Do you have any plans to review or look at JK Armerment. Interested in the JK 155 Versax.
We are in constant communication with them. But they keep telling us we need to wait another month or two to get one of their Suppressors.
