Director ?? What Director ??? This is a live concert - they did what they did and it was filmed. You CANNOT script a spontaneous audience response or the band's reaction. You just go with the moment.
The Teskey Brothers come from an Arts community on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia and many of such fans were there at the concert that night. This song was the finale. Their parents are also musical. They honed their talent singing around the various community markets and other venues when young. They do an a capella version of one of their songs, which is on You Tube video, in their backyard. I LOVEL a capella. Years ago I went to see a forerunner group of the modern a capella groups. They were named, 'The Flying Pickets," and were from the UK. The concert was in a big hall in Melbourne and the it was was fantastic. I was on a natural high for days after. Their videos are also on YT. If you want to see even more of a joy-infected HUGE audience then you must watch the YT videos of Australian JOHN FARNHAM with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra concerts. John is one of the best singers in the world. The joy at those concerts is amazing !!! I loved your reaction and excitement at finding our Aussie artists. We have so many more of them that the world knows little of. Also, I see you are a football fan by the poster on the wall. You need to check out the YT video, 'What Is AFL?' to see what real footy is ! Keep the happiness going as it made my morning!
They usually end their concerts with this song. Everyone leaves feeling great.
Excellent strategy
I saw them in Atlanta at the Tabernacle. It was an amazing show! If you ever get the chance to see them in person... Do it!
❤🎶❤
I found these guys on RUclips randomly like 3 years ago and been following them ever since. My wife and I saw them in Chicago, and this man's voice is even more soulful in person than it is on any recording/video. This song was amazing in person.
Check out some of their other songs like "Crying Shame", "Rain", or "Pain and Misery" those are more bluesy and slower, and amazing songs too.
They also sing a cover of “do you love me” with Jimmy barnes. I can just imagine josh and Sam teskey would have thought they died and went to heaven to be sharing a stage with a living legend
Funny you mention whiskey as the band is described as “smoked whiskey” on their website. They were the supporting act for Jimmy Barnes’ Soul Deep 30 tour last year. Both Teskey and Barnes are strongly influenced by Motown blues and southern soul, but with a distinctly Australian touch!
I heard in an interview with Josh and Sam Teskey that they always have a whiskey before each performance. Love, love, love them!
PS this was a brilliant reaction. You can tell you’re feeling it !!
Man, you gotta dive down this rabbit hole. “Rain” is another awesome song by them but, everything they do is freakin’ awesome.
They dont make music like this much anymore these days... this is rare talent. Take me to his church.
These guys are so good. Another Aussie to love. Great reaction.
I love watching the moments their music hit your heart and the vibes are so overwhelming you have to pause to almost catch your breath! And yeah - this specific concert? I missed it cos I was sick!
Definitely go to a concert if you can. They have just finished their US tour. I saw them in Glasgow then again in Oslo. Phenomenal experience. Their song, btw
Hahaha!!! Great reaction 😂
