at the end of the video when you turned the knob to defrost it didnt sound smooth. kinda sounds like two plastic gears jumping. i just wondered bc im about to do this exact project
Damn dude, you showed everything but the most important part... I wanted to see the alignment of the damper door lever pins to the gear slots... I blink and the damn thing is already installed...🤕
Did your air sometimes hesitate to even turn on? Mine does and I'm only getting air through the defrost. I can turn mine on and start driving and sometimes it may take it a few minutes to come on.
I've heard that problem is actually the control unit with the knobs it has a faulty circuit board in it. Ours does that too but I'm too cheap to fix it. I just bear through a minute of no air before it kicks on
Hi John Is the lower servo motor to control the driver side temperature? Im having issues with my 11 Sequoia where the temp control for the driver side isn’t working properly. I can hear the passenger side motor working when the temperature is changed but not for the driver side Thanks for any help.
Hey JCW - is this issue the same as this one (www.tundrasolutions.com/threads/climate-control-system-delay-after-startup.192498/#post-1989068)? Were you getting delays in the climate control turning on? Also wondering if this part just replaces all of that so I don't need to mess with the gears: toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-damper-871060c140
That was the most hank hill "dang it" I've ever heard. Thanks for the video
I didn't think anyone would've ever caught that I snuck that one in there 😅
I came straight to comments to make sure someone else noticed that!
😂 😂
Excellent video! Your daughter is precious!
Great video especially the commentary from your daughter and the screwdriver trick to stop the annoying noise. Thanks for posting this

I noticed the gears jumping too, hopefully won’t cause a premature wear.
Those gears supposed to bind a little and pop when spinning?!? How’s those plastic gears holding up so far now?

Yes, this is the correct part to replace all of the gears and motors on the servo side for Tundra 07-20 & Sequoia 08-20 Damper - Toyota (87106-0C140)
SO Y ARE THEY GOING BAD??
