hey bro sorry I’m late to this video but every time it shows the apple icon and starts loading after your press “install now”. my iPad always goes back and says something failed but I have my iPad back upped and I have good internet too , I also cleared my storage already so I’m not sure why it’s not working I’ve been trying so many times but yea it just takes me back
Try restarting the iPad and try again. Make sure it’s plugged to charger too.

I used to use my iPad 2 years back and every time I updated that iPad, the device slowed down a lot. I now have the iPad Air 4th generation and I’m afraid the same thing might happen if I update this iPad. Do you think that could happen with the newer iPads with updates?

Hmm that’s odd. It wants you to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed on it.
iOS 15.5 does not appear at the bottom of "Automatic Updates" window. Using Apple Air iPad. Current 'auto update' at iOS 12.5.7
You most likely have an old iPad that doesnt support newer updates.

Check the link in the description and see if iOS 15 supports your iPad. If it does this should work. If it doesn’t then unfortunately Apple doesn’t support it anymore and there isn’t much you can do.

Yeah, unfortunately older iPads like the one you have aren’t supported for further updates after 10.3.3. You would need to buy a new iPad if you want to get the use of iOS 15-16-17 and now 18

If it’s a 2022 iPad Air I don’t see how it could have iOS 12.5.5. Seems like you have an old iPad Air that doesn’t support iOS 14. Look up how to check witch iPad you have and see whIch version it is.

If your iPad is older it most likely doesn’t support this version of iOS. Unfortunately you won’t be able to update anymore.

It didn’t ask me for it but if you don’t know your info, best to figure it all out before you update. If something goes wrong you will need it to get support.

iPad 2 isn’t supported for updates anymore. Nothing you can do.
I forgot my ICloud password... if I update will it ask to be signed in to iCloud?
You might need it but I wasn’t asked to enter it as you can see in the video. Go through the process of resetting your password first. That’s my recommendation.

Try restarting the phone and check the storage section. Something might be filling it up like old text messages with photos in it or photos in the recently deleted folder. If nothing works you may need to restore your iPhone

Not sure what the ram specs are but you need sufficient space and an iPhone 6s or newer.
For some reason I still can’t update to iOS 15 because even though mine updates normally but when it comes to installation the line adds up a little bit and then blacks out and after that the apple logo comes back and then I’m still in iOS 14.7. I hope you get what I mean because I really need help 😭

In general everything should stay but if case something goes wrong back up everything. It’s rare but has happened to me before over the years.

So I have a iPad, version iPadOS 14.2
I have a software update and need to update it to version iPadOS 15.4.1
How do I do this safely?? How do I backup everything? Do all apps and pictures/videos I have in my gallery get deleted? How do I recover them from the backup? I'm sorry I really don't know much about software updates and this is currently the only software update I have right now, I have a really bad fear of doing software updates to my devices as I used to have a different tablet before my current iPad that I did an update on but when I turned it on it completely broke and we couldn't even open the lock screen. I lost everything on it and haven't used it in as least 3 years and after this I think you'd understand why I'm paranoid of losing everything including projects as I have alight motion, capcut, kinemaster, ibispaint x, procreate, and many other apps so should I do backups on all apps?
I've tried a bunch of times to try and get the update but it doesn't let me, it's saying I don't have enough space even though I've literally uninstalled half my entire apps so we have to use a computer to install the update.
If you are that worried your best bet is to call Apple and schedule an appointment for them to help you. They may even be able to guide you over the phone.

Have you ever installed a beta version of iPadOS? If so you may need to remove it first.

If you have an older iPad then it may not support iPadOS 15. There is a link in the video description that lists all the iPads that support it. Also, it could be delayed in parts of the world or if you ever installed a beta version of iPadOS it may need to be removed first.

Just the way it is unfortunately. You can use a usb and connect to iTunes but then your computer still needs to download the file somehow. Maybe use the phone as a hotspot to download it to the computer, then iTunes to run the update on the iPad.. Not sure

All you have to do is plug in the charger. It needs 50% battery or more to allow you to install.

You would have to search that error on Google and see if anyone has a fix.

Well I don’t think iPad 4 can even update to iOS 15. I’m not 100% sure but that is probably why you are having issues.

@@DHTV I recently reset my ipad to factory settings hoping it would sync up with google play but it didn't work although it does sync with iTunes. I don't know if I'll get a new ipad or not, as I also have an android phone & all-in-one pc
Maybe the pixel tablet that Google released is an option? Since you use android already it may be better suited.

Well if it is just updating and not installing you can try restarting the iPhone and trying again.

Check your iPad supports this update. Old iPads aren’t supported for later updates as time goes on. I believe the link to check what iPads are supported are in the description.
