I was using the s24 for the past 120 days, but i yearned for a better display. I just got the Pixel 9 pro. Needless to say, i just sold my s24 and kept the Pixel 9 pro. I have always for a srrock android os but have not enjoyed larger phones like 7 pro or 8 pro. The Pixel 7 was nice but was a compromise. The pixel 9 pro has everything in a small package
I have both of them but I have been using the S24 for months before buying the Pixel 9 Pro and this is day 2 with my pixel as I'm writing this comment. I'm yet to see if I will like the pixel as much as I do with my S24. Even though the pixel has the highest nits of brightness but S24 looks brighter always in normal use except when the sun is directly hitting the screen before the pixel comes on top. And for the most part S24 exposes pictures in all scenarios properly than the pixel which would make shadows quite dark when there's sunlight and shadows or early morning and late afternoon.
I like the Pixel phone because of their screen call feature. It's so cool that google AI is answering for you for those unwanted calls. I get spam callers who immediately hangs up when they hear the AI voice which I find hilarious but so helpful.
I'm using both phones and the S24 brightness is better on daily normal use. The pixel only comes out on top in direct sunlight. I think Samsung is the only phone that can get bright at a lower brightness level. Pixel will be way up there on the slider before getting bright
The Pixel stock file manager does not have the ability to see network shares. The Pixel stock homescreen has the Google search bar stuck at the bottom of it. Pixels are great for putting Graphene OS on.
Solid comparison. Pros and cons are subjective decisions with no clear winner. I like both, and it would be a tough choice for me, so sitting on the fence.
@@nestihado ? that’s such a bad point. i’m saying that paying 799 dollars for a phone that can’t game is objectively bad value compared to the s24 which can effortlessly play any game at high graphics. just saying “buy another device for gaming” isn’t a solution. (btw i was very much considering buying a pixel until i saw its gaming performance, and i do not own any samsung devices )
All u have to do for s24. After many tiral and errors😅 1) disable hdr in gallery 2) optimisation set to medium 3) download and go to camera assistant and enable 2x 4) enable auto hdr 5) enable quick tap shutter. Thank me later!
The S22 Plus and S23 Plus have never been considered small smartphones, so I can't understand why the Pixel 9 Pro is considered a small smartphone when it has almost the same measurements as them 🤔
For the overall experience I'd have to go pixel. The Sammy is a great phone, but you need to remove all the Samsung apps that duplicate google apps. The Samsung apps are a worse experience, bar one or two. And the pixel just feels more integrated with the app experience. The Sammy though is much better at customization, even though you STILL can't vertically scroll in the app drawer. Has a better battery as well. But in the end there's just too many minor niggles with the Samsungs for me to go for it over the pixel. And one more thing about Samsungs. The apps styles and pastel colours they use just look awful to me.
Nah. The base Galaxy S24 is the best small phone that Samsung has to offer, and the Pixel 9 Pro is the best small phone that Google has to offer. It's a fair comparison.
If Samsung was the only option then I would probably head back to Apple. Samsung is cluttered, confusing, getting ads in the notifications WTF I know you can opt out, remove apps, etc. But the common person just picks up their phone and uses it. Pixel all the way no doubt.
He said he was comparing compact phones with a zoom lens and then made allowances for the price differential. Obviously, if you want a zoom, you will not buy the base Pixel 9!
My base pixel 9 has better battery life than my s24+ did and i enjoy the smoothness of the UI better on the pixel than ONE UI

Finally the head to head I wanted. I don’t want any XL or Max or plus. I want a pro reg size phone.

if it's auto replying that's taking your data
If Google just put a snapdragon chip in their phones their would be no debate ever.

Owning S24 since last month and it's best phone ever
😂

the tensor g4 chip is definitely not worth that price. it can’t play like most AAA games without stuttering
@@nexz0r just get a steam deck or switch for gaming

I wonder which of the two has the better haptics, I doubt the S24 beats the Pixel tho
Pixel 9 pro hands down. I just sold my S24 because of the pixel 9 pro
Where did you sell your S24? I am thinking of selling my Pixel 9 pro.

Because the pixel 9 pro is the same size as the pixel 9, same size as regular S22 and S23... The Pixel 9 pro+ is the size of the S Ultra/plus range
Nice video!👍
Thanks! 👍

It should be compared to the base pixel 9 not the pro
In what regard?
No the Pixel 9 compares to the base S24!
Nah. The base Galaxy S24 is the best small phone that Samsung has to offer, and the Pixel 9 Pro is the best small phone that Google has to offer. It's a fair comparison.
No, it should't. S24 vs. 9pro is the right comparison.

At this point, samsung one is definitely not confusing and cluttered. Bloated? Sure, but not cluttered or confusing.
What is this comment? Rage bait?
Use a high end one
@@jonbikaku6133 I agree just bad with the bloatware and annoyances
Irrelevant comparison. Shouldve been p9 vs s24

Disagree, as someone that will not buy the ultra, because square lol, this is the Samsung flagship vs Google flagship
First!
S24 is better.
