Incredible playing. I just wish you did sort of what ola does when demoing stuff, and that is while in the middle of the song cut to the actual raw guitar sound so we can hear the way it sound not in a mix. Other than that, im now gasing for this plugin lmao.
Thanks, man! The plugin does take a bit of tweaking. I was going after Jason's album tone. The tone starts off very flat sounding, so you have to add quite a bit of highs and tame the lows.
Did you have a drive pedal in front of it or any post processing that would significantly change the tone? Because if it actually sounds like that I'm probably going to buy lol
Hi! Can you comment which cabs you were using where? Trying to decide if it's worth adding the Conquer All packs, I already have the ToneForge Jason Richardson VST but have been using the built in IR.
SaganNotPagan Thanks! We're ironing out release details...still. There IS a new album, and we're all trying our best to get it out for everyone to hear. I drive an Infiniti G35 coupe. I'm working on getting a R32 GTR imported.
We were looking forward to that release too! The album has been done for quite a while now, so we're just as frustrated as our fans are. Things are finally moving along. We just received a lyric video yesterday and we're planning video shoots, so the release is looking like this Fall.
Thanks! I wouldn't say the Conquer All impulses are necessarily better than the ones provided with Jason's plugin. The ones with the plugin do their job, and capture the response in your playing just like what you would expect from the album tone. The Conquer All cabs would be to give your tone a different sound, if that's what you're looking for. Either way, I highly recommend both the ToneForge plugin and the Conquer All cabs.
Thinking to tweet at Jason Richardson with the question, "Tell me in your own words why I should buy JST Toneforge Jason Richardson instead of Menace -- 2:51 -- Nevermind
.why i love Treath Signal cz u :D fans from indonesia \m/ best guitar player n amazing band im hear.new song please XD Treath Signal my favorite band haha :D
Would of been nice to see what preset/settings he was using, killer playin as usual When comparing this to the Neural stuff I have (abasi, plini, nolly) it's hard to pick this, it's so hard to get a good tone, the stock sound is pretty bad IMO and there are literally zero factory presets to help get you started which is really odd. The product could of been fleshed out a little more to make it more accessible and user friendly.
I think I actually made the tone from scratch for this video. I didn't use a preset. This plugin is great, like most JST products, but I have an easier time dialing in a tone with Neural DSP Nolly. It's my go-to amp sim. If you're wanting to check out more JST products, I'd recommend Menace. It's a lot more straight forward compared to the Jason Richardson plugin, and I find that I could get a useable tone much faster.
I like this type of demos - less words, more playing :) Tone is awesome!
Hellyea bro.. I've been digging these plugins also.
Great video thanks Travis. Bout to pull the trigger on this.
Killer Demo. Love it. \m/
Great playing!

you have paul gilbert hands
haha I'll take that as a compliment, because Paul is sick AF
Travis Montgomery yes he's my favorite guitarist. I still watch your old racer x solo cover videos
Was any major post processing done? It sounds so much better here than it does in a lot of other videos
My "JST Toneforge Jason Richardson" docent sound like that.. Killer song Dude//

Vince Mayer I used the Marshall Mode 4 cabinet in the Conquer All 4 pack.
Hey man I come from a cover of years ago "Lilith of Chelsea Grind" of 2012 and i really want to know what guitar did you use in that video?
incredible playing as usual. when are we gonna see a new TS album? and also, after seeing your hoodie, I want to know what you drive?
SaganNotPagan Thanks! We're ironing out release details...still. There IS a new album, and we're all trying our best to get it out for everyone to hear.

Travis Montgomery dude....R32 Skylines are popping all over my feed...you need it! Lol

Are we likely to see any preview tracks?
Yes, definitely!!
Do you think the impulses sound better than the cabs with toneforge? Killer playing man, Thanks!

@@travismontgomery Right, i hear you on that. The JR pluggin sounds very low out of the box and you gotta boost the highs a lot to get something good
I feel like the guitar could have been a bit louder in the mix. It was a bit hard to hear over the drums as certain points.
3:48....forgets hes recording a video...
3:59...remembers he's filming a video...
4:00...tight as f**k
Great Sound & Video. Bad video quality - 360p - this shit.
Thanks! Give it time to process. It's a 1080p video.
Thanks! Travis very nice quality... Excellent track! HMR!!!
