Growing up was a huge fan of The 4 Horsemen! About 12 years ago I volunteered with a prison ministry a few times and Tully was one of the main speakers in the prisons. Great man! Truly cares about people. God bless Tully! Definitely one of the greats! Definitely deserves to be in HOF!
Tully owned so many belts for so long as a single... just don't know how he is not a hall of famer on his own. Same goes with Arn. Arn was the WORLD TV champ for a LONG time, and he was always on TV, always holding on to the belt. He was another great singles wrestler.
absolutely agreed And arn was a great talker piper and Jake were only better They made me hate them so they did there job well. But like Ric said whether you like it or don't learn to love it because it's the best thing going today. And I learned to love all of them. They were so good, hell they still are good
oh the memories.. some of the best ever with Flair and JJ and Tully and Arn and Barry! these guys were the best and Gene Anderson and Ole Anderson! top notch Minnesota wrecking machine!
Tully Blanchard had the best gimmick in JCP/Mid-Atlantic/NWA by just being himself, an "arrogant prick" like Ric said. Brash and cocky, wearing the $700 dollar Ostrich's, the fine cloths, and flashing the bling-bling, Tully was Horsemen before he joined the Horsemen. Then you add Baby Doll, the NWA World TV Title, the $10,000 dollars on the line in 20 minutes, the NWA US Heavyweight Title, the feuds with Dusty Rhodes and Magnum T.A. over those belts and the EPIC matches they had, 1984 & 1985 were Hall of Fame years for Tully Blanchard! Tully Blanchard is my favorite wrestler of all-time, so now I'm going to watch Tully tear off Flair's cloths during an interview with Wahoo, and then watch Tully piledrive Flair into the canvas with the help of Wahoo! Classic stuff!!
I always loved watching Mongo working as a Horsemen member and loved how he bumped! He might not have been the best in terms of wrestling skills, but you could always tell he was having so much fun which made his matches even better. He always made me laughed in a good way. He is such a nice guy outside of the ring, too!
RIC FLAIR LOVE YOU ,AN SO TRUE TULLY, BARRY WHY THEY ARE'NT IN THE HALL OF FAME ,FLAIR YOUR WIRD IS GOLD YOU ARE WRESTLING THE NATURE BOY GOD BLESS THE MAN
Tully father was great at bringing in great experience veterans and future star's' into Southwest Championship Wrestling Tully learned his trade well and fast. Remember his father was a great wrestler.
Tully and Flair are two of the greatest heels ever. Tully wasn’t “big” back in the day,it he had strength and could suplex guys and could really move in the ring. And he was so good on the Mic. One of the best ever to do it.
It’s so good seeing ric flair enjoy himself on stream. Much happier compared to his Conrad Thompson interviews with Conrad plugging himself every 5 minutes
Agreed on one had to see it unfold.when you tune in to the heel, to see what happens? Thats incrdedible! Thats great wreslin.arn n tully singles or tag, the best.
I remember when Naitch was still a face mid 85 fueding against a heel Wahoo McDaniel and Tully. Later that year they were both charter horsemen members.
That was 84 with the Wahoo/Tully feud with Flair. I think by mid 85 Flair was dealing mainly with Nikita and some smack talk with Buddy Landell and Magnum. He was being a tweener up until that attack on Dusty with the Andersons
What needs to be done is a separate Hall of Fame built and run by somebody that is not WWE for all wrestling corporation something ain't got politics in it and WWE only a selection of few to put in that Hall of Fame which sucks you can't get no better than the guys that made the four horsemen and they all should be in the Hall of Fame separately for their own acolytes and i tell you right now you can't get no better than the nature boy Ric flair that man is my hero
Tully and Ric started as rivals, they were, for the most part, feuding with each other verbally except that angle with Wahoo McDaniel and that awkward heel turn that even Wahoo admitted he didn't care for. The whole point was that Tully wanted to be where Ric was, it was about topping each other, who had the best clothes, the best girls, the best jewelry etc. Ric was the established kingpin and Tully was the challenger to the throne. But what they did agree on and was the driving force of forming the Four Horsemen was their hatred of Dusty Rhodes along with Ole and Arn and J.J. Dillon. Dillon was feuding with Flair too with Buddy Landel, Flair and Ole had a bitter feud for years because in reality they despised each other. Arn was against Ole in Georgia. So these four guys decided to put all this baggage behind them to take out the biggest babyfaces in JCP. Dusty, Magnum, Rock N Roll, Sam Houston, Road Warriors, Nikita, etc.
squash matches are essential. else, every night is like a main event and there is nothing to build up to because you have already seen the same guys fight each other 100 times. its one of the reasons i quit watching wrestling. the whole concept of building up to a main event was tossed out the window. if you keep going at 200 miles an hour then eventually 200 miles an hour doesn't feel exceptional. there is a simple concept they understood in the old days....over exposure.
Some people just have loud voices my brother is like that too the volume of his voice is so high that he isn't aware of it, I tell him to stop yelling and he says, "I'm not yelling!" 😂 Don West was like that too!!
Tully may not have been a big man, but he was strong enough to Slingshot the likes of Ray Traylor, and some of the other big men working at JCP back then; I still watch his promo's like "What've you got another check to cancel?" The Title Match where Baby Doll turned on Dusty for Ric Flair - when Tully hit the ring, the place erupted. You don't see Heat like that anymore....
Art: Tully and Gino both in San Antonio for Joe Blanchard's Southwestern Championship Wrestling were definitely Horseman level before it even existed! You can see the potential for it all if you watch the precious few clips of this existent magic from back then of a highly influential Tag Team. And Tully Blanchard (as well as Chris Adams) was perhaps the only one who could turn Gino Hernandez Face. Imagine this Crew in say JCP: Adams. Blanchard. Hernandez. Piper. Throw them against Flair and The Andersons and either Slater or Steamboat. That's a vendetta waiting to print money!🤔😮🎤💰🐴💎👔👞👞🤼♂️B.W.
Gino as a Horseman and he eventually starts to show interest in Flair's world title, which causes him to be kicked out and we have Gino vs. Flair World Title match at Starrcade. Gino goes over and he draws big money and he keeps the strap for like three months and drops it back to Flair.
@30907bng: Thank You way overdue for the compliment. Have to take "The X Factor" into consideration though. "Big Dust" himself. Eventually as History proved he would strive to overshadow any other hot action or he'd find a way into The Angle. The upside of course is Magnum T.A. being Booked into a true potential Superfeud to Wrestle a number of individuals he'd never ahem faced before. Magnum vs. Piper, Adams, or Steamboat for instance. Very tempting to speculate!🤔🎤🐴💎👔👞👞🤼♂️B.W.
Like arn said Tully became an anderson by association, tully and arn became one, the heavyweight champ of tag teams, too me miz and Morrison had similar chemistry, I also like RKBRO, and chris benoit and Jericho was awesome, and the New Day is real good
Now I wished Tully had bought in Gino Hernandez to join the group, Gino Tully and Flair would've been too much all three had the lifestyle down pat and were livin it.
All 5 of the main Horsemen , Ric, Tully, Arn , Ole and Barry should all be in as singles and probably all except Ric as Tag Team guys. Ridiculous that they are not.
According to Jim Cornett who was there and who very easily could know, Jim Herd refused to hire Tully back because of the failed drug test in the WWF!! It was probably more personal than that. I don’t remember the entire story, but the excuse given by Herd was the failed drug test. Herd also used Tully‘s drug test against Arn, pay him $100,000 a year less. If memory serves he cut his yearly salary from $250K to $150k!! Herd said that he was hiring the two as a tag team, without hiring Tully he was able to screw Arn. That may have also been one of the reasons Herd didn’t take Tully back. Instead of $500,000 a year guaranteed he only had to pay Arn $150,000!! The last part is speculation but it’s very plausible. From what I can gather about Jim Herd is not at all surprising!! I may be off a little bit here or there but that is overall the story Cornette has told several times on his podcast. I’m sure it will be an easy find here on RUclips if you want to hear the full story & details.
The Anderson's (Ole and Arn) were the bad ass backbone of the four horsemen. Flair and Tully were really over the top and flamboyant with their promos. Ole and Arn were the guys who would kick people's asses
The channel called scammer payback that stops india scammers from scamming americans the guy sometimes when he stops the scammer or helps a guy not get scammed he goes wooooooooo! And yeah you know why brother
Tully did everything he could to get magnum over because the crockets wanted him to be the next big thing but the fans didn't like him that much Tully practically destroyed his career trying to get magnum where they wanted him he had the wrestling world in his hands and couldn't hold it together honestly he wasn't a good wrestler of you see a lot of live shows you see things tv doesn't show like all the mess ups and magnum had alot that's why he used the belly to belly suplex cause it's almost impossible to mess it up but I seen him mess it up
Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez were a great tag team before Blanchard and Anderson. Had he lived, Gino might have been the biggest heel ever. He could really irritate people.
I'm glad Mark is no longer doing the show with Ric anymore. Mark does too much talking and not enough listening. He's constantly giving his opinions when we're hear to listen to Ric, not Mark Madden.
its why wwe hall is a total joke,,, they let in guys who have nothing to do with wrestling, and guys less ! deserving... ! also its wwe so having guys who didnt do big things in wwe is awkward! obviously arn tully barry world class legends, but not wwe wise... brainbusters and widowmaker lol

Tully and Arn should be in a wrestling holy grail. They love him for whatever reason. Barry was a family pass down .
absolutely agreed
And arn was a great talker
piper and Jake were only better
They made me hate them so they did there job well. But like Ric said whether you like it or don't learn to love it because it's the best thing going today. And I learned to love all of them. They were so good, hell they still are good
Tully and Arn,True Hall of Famers. They were so talented!
What I love and will always love is that Flair has this amazing passion for wrestling. Flair makes you want to watch wrestling.
Tully had great fueds with Magnum and Dusty! Him and Arn one of favorite tag teams ever!
oh the memories.. some of the best ever with Flair and JJ and Tully and Arn and Barry! these guys were the best and Gene Anderson and Ole Anderson! top notch Minnesota wrecking machine!
You had to see that era unfold to appreciate how great Tully Blanchard was…
Agreed. Greatest natural heel I have ever seen.
There’s a strong argument that Tully and Arn should go in as a tag team and singles too. So great in all aspects.
Ric fair.. is definitely right...they deserve to be in the hall of fame... 4 horses man
They were both great, watched Tully winning the southwest heavyweight championship in that tournament, also beat Bob sweeten 💪💪
Tully had a solid look he could talk and work as good as anyone.
Always liked Tully
TULLY AND ARN SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME
“Can’t stop naitchin’” 😄 gotta love Ric
RIC FLAIR LOVE YOU ,AN SO TRUE TULLY, BARRY WHY THEY ARE'NT IN THE HALL OF FAME ,FLAIR YOUR WIRD IS GOLD YOU ARE WRESTLING THE NATURE BOY GOD BLESS THE MAN
SLICK RIC YOUR WORD IS GOLD IN WRESTLING YOU ARE THE MAN ,I LISTEN TO THE ONES MADE WRESTLING ,LOVE YOU SLICK RIC !!!!
Tully father was great at bringing in great experience veterans and future star's' into Southwest Championship Wrestling Tully learned his trade well and fast. Remember his father was a great wrestler.
Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard with JJ Dillion the greatest version of the 4-Horseman
Totally agree 1988 was a great year year for that version of the horsemen they had all the top championships...woooooo
The 🐐 lineup
Ric, Arn, Tully, JJ Dillon and Ole were the greatest version
@@benrichardson8099 Ole Anderson was better than Barry
@@kellymcquay2626 I was a big fan of Barry so I'm am a little bias.
Those three were greatness the very best love watching them
Tully and Arn chemistry too much chemistry
Randall Cunningham while playing for UNLV set the NCAA Collegiate record with the longest punt in College history of 95 yards
Tully averaged 46 yards per punt.
Tully is awesome
Yup
Tully & Arn definitely deserve singles as well as a tag team HOF.
Wardlow has been doing those squash matches recently. Fun to watch too.
The JCP Four Horsemen era of pro wrestling is quite simply the greatest ever.
Agreed on one had to see it unfold.when you tune in to the heel, to see what happens? Thats incrdedible! Thats great wreslin.arn n tully singles or tag, the best.
The fuckin best.. 👍
Tully and Arn vs Midnight Express/Rock n Roll Express were some of the best tag matches of all time.
I remember when Naitch was still a face mid 85 fueding against a heel Wahoo McDaniel and Tully. Later that year they were both charter horsemen members.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Loved the 4 🐴 horsemen. Tully was a great worker. Good on the 🎤 mic
He definitely knew how to make you hate him
LOVE the Gene Anderson story...also love how Ric impersonates Gene and Harley...by doing the smoking impression.
Went to Tully's father wrestling show in San Antonio Texas when I was a kid.
💕💕💕💕
👑
I would love to hear Ric Flair talk about the night they broke Dusty Rhodes leg at the Omni. I have heard Arn Anderson give his take on it.
TULLY is the only TRUE HEEL
I hated him, so I think that speaks for getting over as a heel
Baby Doll was not taller than Tully. It looked that way sometimes when she wore heels, they were both 5'10.
Ummmm... he did say 'when she wore heels', numbnuts.
@@Murph_. 😂😂😂😂

100 percent right about the hall of fame
Tully and Ric started as rivals, they were, for the most part, feuding with each other verbally except that angle with Wahoo McDaniel and that awkward heel turn that even Wahoo admitted he didn't care for. AA was a stud hes in my hall of fame .

I agree with ric flair Tully and arn should have been in the hall of fame years ago and Barry windum also

Is Madden half deaf? Shouting all the time.

His dad Joe, showed Tully Blanchard everything he knows Flair, give credit where it is do.
"Everybody wants money, money, money..."
Mid night, rock n roll, Rockers, Steiners, Road Warriors, Harlem Heat, I could keep going all better
Okay
WOOOOOOO!
Tully has The 1000 Yard Stare...He looks thru you.
Tully top 10 heel
Champ,Should Barry Horowitz be in the Hof ?😁😁😁😁

Gino as a Horseman and he eventually starts to show interest in Flair's world title, which causes him to be kicked out and we have Gino vs. Flair World Title match at Starrcade. Gino goes over and he draws big money and he keeps the strap for like three months and drops it back to Flair.

Tully Blanchard was born in Calgary Canada.
4 HORSEMEN. 4 LIFE. 👊🏼😎👊🏼
Tully Blanchard was instrumental in introducing Tito Santana to professional wrestling.
In 1982 Tully Blanchard did an Interview with Fair and Tully ended up attacking Flair and ripping off his clothes.
Like arn said Tully became an anderson by association, tully and arn became one, the heavyweight champ of tag teams, too me miz and Morrison had similar chemistry, I also like RKBRO, and chris benoit and Jericho was awesome, and the New Day is real good
Must Mark Madden always yell into the mic???
Woooooo
Tully was a stallion
I would love to see Ric vs. Gino. That would been one hell of a rivalry.
Gino hard Horsemen written all over him too
My favorite was Tully teaming up with Gordon Soley.
Mid South kid named Shawn Michaels was the king of getting Squashed in matches as like a 15 year old

Is Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson in the tag team Hall of Fame?
Seems like u ask or talk about the same people over and over again. Tully, arn, four horsemen etc.
Tully and Arn were the only ones I liked!!! Never been a Rick Flair fan, but respect him, Barry not a fan of as well!!!!!
Embodiment of the four horseman? Only one. Arn.
Tully was likely 5’8” or 5’9” tops.
Tully. Was Rick with dark hair
Stop yelling into the microphone Mark you're ruining the podcast lower your freaking voice
Tully did everything he could to get magnum over because the crockets wanted him to be the next big thing but the fans didn't like him that much Tully practically destroyed his career trying to get magnum where they wanted him he had the wrestling world in his hands and couldn't hold it together honestly he wasn't a good wrestler of you see a lot of live shows you see things tv doesn't show like all the mess ups and magnum had alot that's why he used the belly to belly suplex cause it's almost impossible to mess it up but I seen him mess it up
Ole should have went into the HOF as a Four Horsemen instead of Barry
Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez were a great tag team before Blanchard and Anderson. Had he lived, Gino might have been the biggest heel ever. He could really irritate people.
They aren’t in as singles because most people only relate them to the 4 Horseman.
Move away from the microphone Mark. Your busting ear drums everywhere. Lol
Voice is annoying
Tully Blanchard...good wrestler, Tessa Blanchard...even BETTER. Where is she??
Ric you need to dismiss Mark Madden he is A JOKE !😛😜🤪

So a limo driver dying is funny?
Tully Blanchard was a terrible quarterback. His passing completion percentage for the 1975 West Texas A&M Buffaloes was 33%.
I may be talking smack…but a QB needs guys who can catch. Did you see him play? Was he that unimpressive?
Where's flair getting the money to buy ridiculous expensive clothes now......?
This dude is really bragging about causing the death of his limo driver. What A scumbag.
