This was one of those, "A-HA!" moments. I'd been over-engineering a seat in my head...then saw the swing...and it all fell into place. You're right..KISS! Works better that anything. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great idea Kelly. I've heard it's very difficult to spin the seat around. What a fantastic discovery. A good friend of mine bought a new BX 25 Kubota with a backhoe. I don't recall him having any problems. I always thought they were similar but I'm still impressed with the RK and oneday hope to have one with a backhoe. Their very handy. Appreciate your honesty and i know you are pleased with your RK. They all have things to improve no matter what brand you buy.

This is the first time I've ever commented on a RUclips video. This is genius and i just bought a swing seat from Amazon after seeing it. Thank you for this and your other rk24 videos.
Brilliant idea but just letting you know. Super bad idea to stand on that cylinder. Your putting a side load on the rod which could damage the seal or worse. Again, though. Love the swing idea. Gonna do it on my RK24 as well!

Hey Kelly. You're right about the seat, but I'd like to pick your brain about the 24. Do you know what the knob on the floor board under seat with 1-4 and top on it and do you have a finish mower for 24?
That knob will adjust the rate of "fall", or how fast anything you have on the 3 point will lower. Comes in handy with a bush hog. And, yes, I have a finish mower that I have used with mine. Runs fine with it.
I was looking at putting an old lawn mower seat with a post welded to it on my 24...but then, I saw that swing out in the yard. I'll put it back when the grand kids come back...or just let them swing on back of the tractor.
You can try adjusting the top link all the way in before you lift the mower. That might push the mower deck away from your tires enough to solve your problem.
Ingenious solution. New to the RK24, was just delivered today. Took Ole Boy at RK 30 minutes to show me how to rotate the seat!
That seat needs a re-design. This idea hit me like a ton of bricks one day out in the yard. Works pretty good. Thank you for the comment!

I wish they would come up with a better idea for the seat. It's more trouble than what it's worth.

I like it I put a seat off of an Exmark lawn more on mine even though it's an old Massey Ferguson my butt that sits there.

I have one also, but I'm having a problem when I lift to transport the mower the tires on mower hit tires on tractor any advice?
