I see that this video is 9 months or more old, but I found it very helpful. My RK store is approximately 1 hour away, so within reason. What I have found is that they basically do not know the equipment. As a buyer you need to do your own research. Simple questions get made up and goofy answers! Best explanation of how to use a grapple that I have viewed. Thanks.
This a great video, I just bought a RK 25 tractor, my very first tractor, I’m anxiously awaiting delivery. I got the third function valve, grappled, loader and box blade, thanks again for this very informative video.
Thanks for the kind words James. I don't know if I enjoyed learning how to use my grapple...or actually putting it to use. Both were fun. Enjoy your 25!
Great info on here. This was just what I was looking for.Almost bought one of these today but need to make sure how big of a log I can pick up with it first.Thanks.
Thanks! Love my grapple...don't know how I've gotten by without one for so long. I've used it to remove shrubs...rake...clear off fence lines...haul trees...it's a great addition.
Hi Kelley nice video I have the same tractor and grapple. I bought a 4ft section of 2 inch black pvc pipe and cut a couple sections of it to slide over the grapple side hydrolic lines for extra protection from sticks. Cheap insurance.
The kit to control the grapple from the joystick is (was) called a 3rd function kit. I'm assuming because you can still control the loader arms, tilt... but now the 3rd function adds control for you to open and close the grapple.
Thanks for the information, I'm looking to buy the RK24 or 37. I need the grapple, bush hog, tiller, I want the backhoe but its not necessary, I just bought 17 acres of land and I must clear it out from root and thickets. I just don't know if it can handle the job
Hello John. You'd probably be happier with the 37. The 24 is good for "light to medium" work. I've been in a couple of situations where a little more power would have finished a job quicker. Thanks for watching, and good luck clearing your land!
Now that you had your tractor for awhile are you still happy with it? I'm looking for a similar setup for our 20 acres and I feel I can get more for my $$ going with the rk brand. The only issue is the closest dealer is 6 hrs. from us. Any major issues that a guy couldn't fix himself? I use to be a millright years back so I know just enough to be dangerous. I think the diesel engine would be my weak spot.
Still very happy with it. If you're mechanically inclined, you shouldn't have any trouble with a tractor. I haven't had any major issues...a couple of small ones you'd expect operating this kind of equipment...leaky or burst hydraulic line. There is a RK service tech who has a page on Facebook if you ever run into trouble. He's always willing to help anyone.
Très belle vidéo Très beau tracteur et très bien équipé Dommage qu'il n'y en ait pas en France J'aimerais bien l'essayer et très certainement en acheter un J'adore 😀👍
Hey John....I just replaced my connections due to one of them failing. Seems that they were the wrong ones for the 24 in the first place. RK made it right for me...great customer service. Now mine are straight like they are supposed to be.
@@michaelridgeway2770 True. I really wish that Mahindra would work with RK on warranty/service . We have a Mahindra dealer 20 miles from our house...and our RK dealer is over 200 miles away.
Hey Kelly..I still like this video. I sure wish the mahindra's were as well equipped with a 3rd function and rear remotes. Especially since that Rk24 is exactly the Sam as my emax25. These are great tractors.
When I was shopping for a tractor...I looked at JD, Kubota, Mahindra and Yanmar....RK beat them all on price hands down. The RK's are built well and have a great engine. I'm very happy with my 24.

I've picked up a telephone pole with mine....but kept it close to the ground and didn't make any sharp turns. (Didn't want to bust a tie rod).
4:15 starts instructions on the grapple.
I appreciate your videos on the RK24! I bought one in the spring and had no idea there was a grapple bucket.
Thanks! Love my grapple...don't know how I've gotten by without one for so long. I've used it to remove shrubs...rake...clear off fence lines...haul trees...it's a great addition.

Great idea. I have some in my shop...I'll be adding it to the lines tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!
Great video
Thanks!
I think that’s a diverter valve. A 3rd function should allow you to do everything right?

Merci pour les gentils mots et pour avoir visionné ma vidéo.
Fantastic demonstration! Beautiful equipment!
Thank you!
Do you think the RK 24 could pick up a 5x4 round bale about 800lbs ?
I wouldn't lift it too high. You'd need a good counter weight on the rear to keep traction.
My third function kit hydraulic connectors are straight, not angled like yours.
I think that when the mechanics install them...they all do it differently.

Nice tractor and video, there's not Rk tractor dealer in south Carolina
Thanks Michael. We have 2 in Alabama...if you're ever in the neighborhood :)

It's is a tym tractor I had same problem in nc smith's tractor supply is a tym dealer and the part number are good numbers at tym parts supply
I was thinking going green but I think you get more for your money with the rk they charge way too much for that green paint

Any idea where I can get the quick attach brackets for L75? Thanks
To get the proper fit, I'd check with your local RK dealer.
@@kelly806 is yours pinned or welded on?
