Only issue l had with mine where 2 flat washers on the throttle assembly. They are made out of what looks like brake pad material and just simply got worn out and crumbled at around 45hrs.
Rather than going back to the dealer l made them out of delrin plastic and no more issues.
I have a GT 65 New Holland tractor. The mid mount mower deck removal was a hard job. Get a zero turn. They are the best for mowing.
Or get a pull behind mower for your tractor. That is what I use on my Kubota L4060. I have a 6 foot wide PTO powered mower.
That’s a really sweet looking tractor and I think they come with more options standard than any tractor out there I know TYM builds attractive which is a Korean company they make good tractors I’ve been looking at them but I’m up in Massachusetts and we don’t have any RK dealers in this area so I think service would be a problem can I ask you what the out the door price was for all that equipment
Tym and rk tractors are built by the same company
The rk24 is identical to the tym 254 only difference that I know is the seat other than that same tractor , Scotts recreation has them in Turner Maine ,I live on the Massachusetts border myself
I am confuse by the pricing... all the reviews i have seen say how much cheaper the RK24 is than the others... I am seeing the same price across the board for all sub compacts
Shaun - thanks for the update. I'm currently in the researching stage of looking for a new/updated tractor for our property. I didn't know about the mower deck and backhoe conflict. That's great info. Do you know if that's pretty common on compact tractors?
Hi there. I looked at the John Deere and the New Holland in person and operated them and they didn't have the issue. Their mower decks operated independently. That being said, the price was quite a bit more than the RK.
I domt think I would want to mow with the backhoe attached because of the extra weight and it could bottom out on inclines. I would however like to be able to leave the mower deck attached all the time and then I only have to spend the 4 or 5 minutes to remove the backhoe.
@@ruralkingtractornation8815 That's exactly what I was thinking. I'd probably leave the deck on most of the summer, unless I had some really extensive backhoe work to do. You're right about the pricing. Did you consider Kioti? I'm starting to consider them a little more lately. Though a new Rural King just opened near me this week, so I hope to look at some RK tractors in person.
@@PurpleCollarLife I looked at Kioti and they are made by TYM tractors which is the same manufacturer that does the RK line. They also make LS and the New Holland subcompacts.
Seeing as it was all mostly the same but the RK had the longest warranty, that kept me with the RK.
@@ruralkingtractornation8815 Thanks. I knew TYM made RK. I had no idea they also made Kioti.
Can you do a video of the backhoe swing I've been able to see Kubota which is very good and I've seen jd which is slightly limited our local RK didn't have a 24 in stock thanks
I will make that happen this week and upload it.
Have you had any issue's with the front wheels squealing? Or bad front wheel bearings?
I have not had any issues with that. I have been keeping a close eye and ear on them because I have heard a few others having that issue but I have not. I do move a lot of heavy loads with the loader but am careful going over uneven terrain while doing it so that may play into it as well.
