TESTED: 2024 HUSQVARNA TE300 vs FE350

Let’s assume you’ve made you choice about what brand of motorcycle you want to buy. But how do you then choose between the two-stroke and four-stroke models it offers? Which machine is inherently better suited to you, and why? What sort of terrain does each excel in? And would your decision change if you spent more time riding chopped-up racetracks rather than smoother trails?
To answer those age-old questions, we put Husqvarna’s biggest-selling two- and four-stroke enduro models - the 2024 TE300 and FE350 - up against each other at a Transmoto 8-Hour event; tested by a couple of event regulars and Husky fanatics - father and son combination, Rob and Marcus Dummer.
We gave the boys chance to recce the track while it was still smooth ahead of the weekend, and then checked in with them again on Sunday arvo after they’ve raced the bikes for eight gruelling hours around what evolved into a very different (and much rougher!) beast.
Here are their thoughts on the differences between the machines, each model’s strengths and weakness, and which was their favourite and why...

Until I get more than 1month warranty on $20k bike, husky can go stick it (300 talking about as 350 is 6month warranty classed as dual sport but other classed as race

I literally bought 5 new 40th anniversary Ninja's and atm I'll get Chinese as they're 300's that ive owned before and trust (Carby and not road legal no ADR Like klx300 is the catch). I need road registratered leaving only 450L instead of gambling on a husky as no denying issues with customers bikes every now and then. Knowing my luck id get the lemon
