2:10 Very nice. I crimp first, then fill it with solder and shrink wrap like you did!

I had that exact boat, motor and outdrive. That motor pushing an 18 ft boat never knew it was there, if not loaded to heavy(coolers people extra fuel etc. It was very easy on fuel. The boat itself was very good to handle(I was running rivers only), but bowriders are for fun, skiing etc, I couldnt run a trotline and the boat was very light in heavy seas. The motor I was told was called the Iron Duke, and I sold the motor itself after I scrapped the boat. The OMC outdrive was a night mare, constant problems with seals, the exauhst ran right through a bearing where the outdrive turned, and if it was not properly maintained, it would cook the grease and be very hard to steer, I bought it used, and that was my first episode to fix. Then the lower unit seals all went bad, so they all had to be replaced, then the riser ate out and had to be replaced. But in all , I had sank about $4000.00 in the boat(thats even buying it), and despite working on it, I had 5 years of use during the summer months, and my wife and daughter loved sitting up front and watching the water come at them. It was worth it to me, but I did marine constuction for 30 years, out on the water for hot humid Maryland days, cold northwest winds all winter, I have desires now to stay on dry land,lol.....

    Hello sir, great video!
Do these engines (2.5) have a timing advance under distributor ?? I have one that's been rebuilt, so I don't know if supposed to have one or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

I have a Larson boat and need 9 pin harness for the engine. It's a 120 horse power 4 cylinder OMC inboard engine. Where can I find a harness or by chance do you have one for sale.

Michael I have a 1977 Johnson 9.9 outboard. The throttle is stuck, not the part on the movable handle but the shaft going inside the motor housing. Have you ever had this situation?

I will check in the morning. I think I have an intake and carb set up for a 2.5. I think they are the same except the 3.0 may have bigger jets.

At about minute 7:07 in the video you can see that I have taken the water line from rear area and connected a garden hose to it. You can see it in the lower right hand side of the video. This will keep your engine from overheating.
