Borahae! I am a singer/songwriter/producer that rediscovered my passion for music during the pandemic after hearing BTS. A wild musical journey ensued that reunited 2 childhood friends (me & Lucas). The Tagalog lyrics is very poetic the lyrics used are not common words to used in everyday they are just so good writing the lyrics it makes it more enchanted ❤

The poetry in the Tagalog lyrics makes the remix even more beautiful.. And they used old romantic Tagalog words. And you're right, it's good how they stuck to the original formula..but at the same time, they also made their take a more playful one -they're so creative for that. They demonstrated this playfulness in the short video they made for this song (JVKE released a YT shorts w/ that vid of SB19 in it).
And if you know about the fun trivia that JVKE said about the song..that the piano on this song is off key.. There's a line in the Tagalog lyrics about their guitar being off key.. I don't know if the parallelism is coincidence..but if it's not and SB19 made this lyrics as a nod to piano off key thing, then that is brilliant of SB19 for doing that.

🚗🦋💕💕 Recently, JVKE has been inviting singers from "random" countries around the world, and many of them sing in their own languages. But often the invited artists are basically singers, and they sing a simple translation. SB19 brings something quite different. When they come in, they add to the JVKE's background track (the guitar around "harana, harana" = serenade) but they don't overdo it. They don't need to, because they are a group of five who can harmonize so well like a brand new backing track. To me this feels like a new composition that is counterpoint to JVKE's song, the lyricism of Pablo's lyrics strengthens that feeling. They aren't just collaborating to sing, they demonstrate they are a group with abilities to produce, harmonize, compose and write poetry. They put their mark, more that some of the other JVKE collabs I have heard.

I really agree in what you said guys specially when Netflix becomes famous there are a lot of chances as well as music specially now here in the Philippines when SB19 happened there is a huge change in music industry here a lot of Agency pop up and slowly making it cause people here now appreciate PPOP because of SB19 as they are the Standard and so most of the KPOP Cover groups became a PPOP idol. You can see that SB19 is paving the way for PPOP to be known worldwide and this is huge. Thou still not all the population if Filipinos knows SB19 yet and our population is so massive that there are a lot of Filipinos all over the world and there is a saying that “the Filipinos are the most huge, wild, dedicated, generous crowd that you’ll ever get as an artist and if you win their hearts it’s like you win a lottery” you know Filipinos are really passionate and dedicated fan ever I guess including my self I really do agree with that as a Pinay (is a term used in a female Filipino, if you change “o” into “a” it will become feminine if it is “o” it is masculine so it is for men but usually the word Filipino is use for general or public) so we have the word Pinoy for male and Pinay for female. Well aside from this I mean I always love and happy to watch all of you reaction towards SB19 because when you do reaction it’s very informative specially with regards to music so while we are entertaining we are learning as well so thank you for always make this kind of reaction videos I believe that Filipinos really appreciate this staff. 🥰✨

Just want to add that SB19 give justice to their tag line “SB” (Sound Break) they really did breaking into the Filipino music industry cause most of the musicians here can’t get any bigger than them in my opinion as they most of the artist here before when SB19 didn’t exist yet they were used to stick in the common genre of an OPM Song like a typical ballad, R&B, Alternative Rock these are the main genre that we have her in the Philippines for the Pop songs most of us were hooked for Western pop songs and that hooked is massive. So the music industry here they are afraid to loss money by chances so when SB19 did it they made a huge pathway and marked it and owns it as they are called the Kings of PPOP and I really do agree with that to be honest cause when they got big man there are alot of KPOP Cover groups who became PPOP idol group I must they are so many I was blown away as well you know by just witnessing the drastic change in our music industry now most People knows them before when I ask pero if they know SB19 they usually say “who are they?” But now even the sales lady in the mall knows them like they will say “ohh.. SB19 Gento and they will sing Gento! Gento! This is just funny for me. 🥰😊✨ (SB19 is the most sold ticket in the Philippine history today they broke the record of Regine Velasquez and Sarah Geronimo)

JVKE posted a shorts as to how he "discovered" SB19 and got in touch with them. I doubt if it's really random, though. Hahahaha!! He was searching in Google artists from the Phils and SB19 came on top. The short video is great though. This came out as a surprise as there was no announcement. They shot it the same day they performed Gento on the Wish Bus.
Oh, Pablo and Josh also sang the OST of one of our local TV series, The Iron Heart and it was so beautiful. Again, another surprise.

Jake's short on how he chose the Phillipines and SB19 is fun to watch. He did a series of these with spinning a globe but the SB19 version shows them responding from their Zone Studio. It also shows English subs. Since they did accapella's at their recent concert my best guess would be a New York guest appearance since JVKE lives in RI. He is also a self produced artist. Someone said this song was recorded with an out of tune Piano. Not sure if that's true or not but it was an interesting tidbit. I heard they did an interview with a USA host the same night at midnight after they recorder the response to JVKE. These guys are hard workers.

A yeah, I did see that JVKE interview where he said he tuned his piano so A4 was at 420 Hz (???) instead of the standard 440 Hz. Not sure if I remember correctly. And yeah, SB19 did the video response to Jake the same night they did the Wish Bus performance and that interview you mentioned. Indeed, no rest for the wicked.
