I just ordered the Peek wallet from Penguin, but after watching your review again, I had an idea. Can the CTW wallet's load chamber also be used as a peek similar to SUC? Or am I misunderstanding it's workings? Thanks!
Yes it could, you would have to open the wallet to get your peek but if you keep some business cards in there it gives you a reason to go inside the wallet and not look suspicious
In your opinion what is the best all in one combo magic wallet? Like if you can only carry One magic wallet for the rest of your life which one would you choose?
That’s a tough one haha. Probably going to have to say the Orphic. Nice peek with multiple handlings, switch feature, card to wallet and you can use the outside pockets as a type of index if you want to with 6 outs (or more if you double up the contents in each pocket. So it kind of does it all. It’s not my favourite peek wallet, it’s not my favourite card to wallet, and it’s not my favourite switch wallet, but it does do them all; and I did carry it daily since it was released.
I got the Combo not that happy, if you have billets in the outside pocket, you can't do no-palm card to wallet; as the billets will be in the way ,also the pocket on the front is very loose. The worst aspect for me is that the small tabs for holding an envelope open don't work if you are using any sealing for the envelope, i.e. rubber cement, the tabs only cover about a quarter inch, and the rest of the open envelope will seal if any pressure is brought to bare (if sat on or carrying set up as EDC). I have attempted to add extended tabs using gorilla tape. At the moment a card or ring in a sealed envelope won't work. On the good side, the envelopes are excellent, and their design is better than Bonsalopes and cheaper. They will also fit the JOL small and large plus wallet. I have ordered the in-to-wallet and Orphic; I hope for a better build, but I do have confidence in the Orphic.
The orphic is great that's what I'm carrying now. The card to wallet takes a bit of breaking in but it's a good wallet. That's too bad about the combo wallet. That's the downside of reviewing is I try and test is as much as I can before reviewing. I like to give more than just first impressions but I don't usually get too long with something before I have something else to review. I do mostly mentalism and for that I thought the combo was great. I found the card slid into the wallet really easily and I liked that but I can see how you also feel it is loose in that sense. I was storing billets in another pocket.
Me again, a little tip for the loose pocket on the front of the Combo, two small flat magnets, one placed in the peek load and the other on the opening (I cut that one in half, so it's not too obvious) now it stays shut no more billets or business cards dropping out.
So, if you keep billets in the middle compartment of the Switch wallet, wouldn't that work as a peek as well? "Draw an image on the card, we'll put it in this slot, I'll just grab a card for myself...". I only got the combo, I agree that it's too big, everything feels loose (except playng cards in the switch compartments), my other issue is the envelopes they include and how they're supposed to interact with the wallet since it only contacts them in one corner. I don't see how you'd get a closed envelope out of the wallet.
An envelope loaded with a card to wallet slides out very easily. When you reach the grab it, just pull it down/away from the plastic guides. It works very well/smoothly.
The tabs are about a half inch. It's extremely easy to fit the envelopes as there are plastic tabs that the envelope opening fits over that works as a guide so the card easily slides into the envelope. The envelopes however, are not self sealing, you would have to prep them with double stick tape or whatever you want to used to stick them.
@@ChrisEdwardsMagic Thanks. In one of the Orphic tutorials there is a no palm card to wallet by Craig Petty. Would u say it's doable with the Combo wallet too?
@@Zax-Magic-Israel yes. There is a devious no palm card to wallet that utilizes the DL. I've literally done it in front of another magician and he thought it was a dupe.
The combo for sure. It doesn't everything the other 3 do. I feel it does card to wallet better. And overall ite just a nice wallet and everything it does is done very well. I really like the combo.
Ooh.. Good catch on the easy access hole when flashing the back of the Switch.

Hi, thanks for the great review! If possible, what dimensions would you say work best for billets/business cards for the combo wallet?
Hey no problem at all! I just use standard American sized cards. The window is huge but I just spread them out to fix that.
Great to hear your thoughts! I was waiting for your review so I can upload some of my ideas and experiences with the combo
Thanks brother!! And thanks for sharing your thoughts with me in the process!
The "addidtional feature" you mention in the switch wallet, could you use that as a peek? Similiar to the Into Wallet?
Yeah man, since nobody knows you have access to the card from the storage compartment it could definitely be used for a peek.
Awesome review like always! Kindly review Luca Volpe's recent book on Presentations. Would be really helpful :D
I've had a lot of requests for that I need to pick it up

Yeah it absolutely could work as a peek on that sense!

Great review as always, you could cut a bit of white or black card to fill the ID window and that would fix it...
or change all your business cards to Chinese size like with Scam , sorry I mean Peak Card wallet.
Hahaha. Yeah you could. I find it easy just to throw them in messy and spread out. That way they can be used too.
Hi again, how easy is it to fit the envelopes? And are they self-sealing? Same question for the Into wallet. Are there decent tabs inside? Many thanks

@@ChrisEdwardsMagic rubber cement.
Hi, aside from the price difference, which is better in your opinion - the TCC Combo wallet, or the Orphic Plus wallet by The 1914?
I like the look of the orphic better but the combo is easier to use and I like the peek better.
@@ChrisEdwardsMagic Thanks. In one of the Orphic tutorials there is a no palm card to wallet by Craig Petty. Would u say it's doable with the Combo wallet too?
I'd have to check it out again to find out. I will try and do that asap.

Another great review. Can the Combo take an envelope?
Yes
@@DaniMarko Thank you
I believe envelopes are included.
Thanks Bill! And Yes! :)
@@YinHoweMagic Yes, they are, and you can also order replacements.
