    I appreciate how you’re breaking things down into simple to understand steps and explaining steps taken clearly.
    A lot of these systems are actually quite simple to use but challenging to use correctly in the right context and that’s the challenge and the fun of enjoying BMS.

      This is something that most have trouble with. Most know how something works but how do you use it effectively in combat is the important part. How are they able to read the system and use that to build SA when you are being shot it.

    Well! New thing learned, I can turn off modes and only get a select few or 1. That would make it a bit easier to check out no replies and quickly instead of letting run through all modes.
    Thanks for the easy explanation!

    More tutorials should be modeled after this. I loved your outline at the beginning. It’s how I used to do my training sessions when in the civil air patrol.

    Still figuring out BMS, coming from DCS it was refreshing to not be ripping my wings off and to actually get some A-A gun kills. 😅. BMS has quite the learning curve but its soooooo goood plus that dynamic campaign is just 😗👌

      Everyone has their feelings towards both in BMS is feels like I am flying a breathing machine not a simulation of one.

    Thank god, hearing people talk about this sounds like gibberish, other than pressing TMS left

      understanding how it works beyond "press tms left" is important, but I agree, easier to digest videos like this that simply explain one of the most technical aspects of AA are more helpful.

    I don't know if it's just me, but in the modern Israel theater, friendlies regularly switch off their IFF transponders. I'm out there in a BARCAP mission, patrolling in the AO, and there's always that one guy coming in hot that keeps sending no returns whatsoever. Not even yellow ones. I'm spamming the IFF, I'm trying to identify them visually, but as you all know, Egypt also has F-16s, so I'm in a total darkness until around 10 nm, when I finally spot the Star of David. Better yet, I sometimes forget to equip a TGP, so then I really have to get close to these mfs (but since they're not engaging, I can at least presume they're not hostiles).

      Same aircraft types are difficult to PID. Advice is to use your AWACS to declare and remember the classification of previously declared groups.

    • @Petidani0330
      @Petidani0330 Год назад

      @@AviationPlus Oh yeah, I forgot to mention there was no AWACS when I was struggling with them. :D
      Otherwise you're right, with AWACS you just have the "declare" and "picture" (maybe even the "bogey dope") commands bound to some keys, and you can basically forget about IFF altogether (it's an exaggeration of course because of furballs, but you get the idea, AWACS is godlike).

    Highly unlikely the MIG-29 is friendly and is NCTR in the game?

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  6 месяцев назад

      Yes unlikely but depending on what theater you are in they could be friendly. Yes NCTR is implemented but at that point you are too close.
