Now that we have had plenty of time to play and see... AI will absolutely not buff their troops as players do.
If you want to get max value out of your troops you need to combine 4 or more buildings for max buffs and so far i havent seen AI do any of that. They build absolutely random buildings in their holdings. Its a lucky rng if they get 2 or more buildings that complement eachother in 1 holding, hence, if you buff your MAA properly you absolutely steamroll everything. Your troops become like space marines compared to any AI on the map!

Nah, it makes sense for the medieval era. This isn’t Victoria 3. Edit: to add on this, development in medieval era is totally different than what you’re saying. Back then the population of Flanders was maybe ~3-5k people. Development meant to the lords and peasants only meant suitable land for building and farming. Which would increase with tech. Because it’s medieval era. They are literally building with stones and shovels mate, it gets better over time.

@@noriantiri9310 Flanders at that time, like many other places in the world especially 1066, did not have a single city(For Flanders). The population especially in
Medieval era is spread out across many small villages and towns. Not a single large city. Only exceptions are the the few we know of in the Middle East, Byzantium empire, England, France, Spain, Italy, HRE, etc. While we consider “large cities” to be tens of hundreds of thousands of people, most only had few thousands to ten thousands. (Expect a few exceptions) At the time.
Don’t be a Neanderthal. 5k population in one area doesn’t mean the entire surrounding area like Netherlands, France, etc. Since we have no idea because they’d rather send the poor people as peasants and levy’s into war then value information and population index, it is an accurate estimation, for Flanders ONLY. Also take in for account high mortality rate and lower life expectancies. The population of europe especially in that time is extremely unevenly distributed. William the Conqueror’s grand army to take England only had 6-7K troops. In a populated and developed Normandy. AND he recruited from other areas nearby from allies. Now think about Flanders. Flanders would go through a boom between 1200-1300 due to its strategic location and eventual urban centers of Ghent Bruges and Ypers, which became thriving centers of trade and commerce. But not in 1066.
But of course most of this work was changed due to the Great Famine of 1315-1317, the Black Death and Hundred Years’ War that devastated Flanders and Europe.

Yes but short can be far more powerful than tall because you aren't wasting money on wars and have built up your domains and you don't have to appease your vassals, let alone waste money on further civil wars. And vassals only give you levies which is useless anyways compared to men at arms.

There is a thing about tournaments, where you can cheese visiting one extra location at the end of the tournament.
When it get's to declaring the final winner for the current contest ('you are waiting for the ceremony to begin') you pause the game, then click to wrap up the message / window. And then while you are pasued, you are officially still in the 'contest' phase, but you are no longer forced into the contest window. So you see the temple, artisans, village, etc.
Gives you one additional visit, to try and get a nice bonus. Be that extra relaxation, an extra chance for artifacts / artifact upgrades, recruitment, gaining stats / piety.
Also, as many people have said already, try to become friends with your steward as that boosts the progress speed of their 'increase development' task. You can do it even at feasts without having perks for befriending. Just check the guestlist to make sure they participate and then you can choose to attempt to befriend them as a goal for the activity.

Honestly, after hearing about how the developers changed the building system with the slots... this actually makes the playthrough, in my opinion, even more immersive. Basically, a realm is bound by the knowledge of the people. Obviously there's a lot of nuance to this concept as far as limits to infrastructure and economic development goes in the medieval world. But one way to emulate this is by giving a representative symbol of these limits in what is able to be developed as far as quantity is concerned. By the time of the Renaissance, infrastructure and overall prosperity had reached its height, and this is reflected by increasing the building slots.
Tldr: from the perspective of immersion and game balance, I agree with the building slot nerfs.

The territory army change... Zieley did you heard about the army build that threat and protect their soldier so well that in the end of a combat you actually return with negative casualities? (don't know if they fixed this)
Maybe now it can be a lil more relevant
Caballeros are used and combined with some coast bonus where you have better defense its a way to protect your territory, also most of the coast terrain are Hill, Dryland or Plain you can build Hunting grounds and them Archery Grounds or Joustin Fields, while also having tradeports and with the rigth culture like Norse and/or African you can reduce embark cost and increase speed, they also can already have sea related tradition for better economy and defense
you can also get Hit and run tatics or Konni (with still a good ligth cavalry) if slavic to combo screen and cavalary upgrades, there also horse lords
Embak cost and sea related upgrades is easier with norse they get -75% cost reduction but you can make some crazy raiders with West African Canoes since they also increase raid speed and if you get praticed pirates dinasty it can get even faster and also turn raid into something you can do later on, if you want to increase your invasion game since you can Raid and go back faster them the target can recover
To go even crazier in the min-max, religions like Vidilism that if reformed can get Astrology and its holy sites give combat advanatage in controlled territory, even less embark cost, increase your troop screen or Achamanism with crazy development from hills (also has Megaliths), naval speed (double with Astrology if reform) and most holy sites are in african coast
What i saying you can make a literal Turtle emprie, they are hardy, stoic, live long, love the beach and are chill, but has everything to be a menace
you can make they travel cheap and fast and if necessary win combats by losing, problem is the Knigth in command because it get wounded by every loss (maybe is a way to deal with unwanted kids)
