I agree...plus, laundry in usually done once or twice a week. I say leave it there and use the space as a walk-in pantry closet. It would make a great space to store extra food and kitchen appliances.
and imagine that dryer running while trying to cook ! that space is going to get so hot ! i've had my washer leak, bounce around and scratch the floor .. the garage is the best bet. plus that little area could be turned into a mini library or prayer/meditation room (if you're in to that). somewhere nice and quiet you can sit and enjoy your coffee
What a beautiful house! Use the extra space for a coffee and liquor 'cafe'. You can have a bar cart with nice glass bottles for liquor on one side and on the other side a spot for cute coffee mugs. That way when you entertain, that can be the beverage area

I have a nook in my kitchen .. I decided to make it a little chill area ... I added a chair , nightstand ,a rug and magazines I think that would work out fine.. You could always make it a pantry or even add a small kitchen table to eat breakfast at ... I wouldn't want a lot of people in my dining room.

I'm tearing up watching this video. I know it's not sad at all but I am just so happy for you and Colton. I absolutely LOVE seeing young couples flourish and see their dreams come true. Since you have a dog I know a lot of people who do a laundry and dog room combo. My one friend in particular has one of those huge double laundry wash basins and it has a regular faucet and a hose attached to it and she uses the one side to bathe her dog. The room is set up SOOO nice. She has shelves in there for her laundry stuff and then shelves above her dog's area to hold some of the stuff to wash her dog. I don't know if that's something you'd be a fan of doing, but I personally love the idea and would use it myself if I ever have a dog, so I thought I'd share it with you. Congratulations on the new home!

For the kitchen nook part if either you or Colton are big cookers you can just make it to a big pantry or a storage closet for stuff like lightbulbs, batteries,Piglets food amd toys etc.

If you guys are big on reading, the kitchen nook would be perfect for that. Maybe add a comfy bench up against the window with some throw pillows and enjoy a cup of tea and read or catch up on RUclips videos on your tablet.
Think you should do it in sections, kitchen, bathroom. Bedroom then do advice on how to get everything you need before you move out ... Finances future homes and plans 😊

Do NOT get rid of the kitchenette!! That is a Great asset! Especially if you ever have kids! You don't want then eating on and messing up the formal dining room three times a day!!! Love you!
You could make that old kitchen nook space, into a really nice bar. That would be a nice feature, especially if you entertain.

The was a nice home to begin with but goes to show what just a little bit of paint & love can do. Your place looks great. Can't wait until I can buy a home, I love decorating as well. I'm a little late, but congrats on the house and the baby!
Just had a thought. If you close of the breakfast nook, you well lose all of the glorious natural lighting from those windows, which may darken the kitchen. It might be used as a second, more intimate conversation space or reading nook using a couple of chairs (or a 'chair and a half) with ottoman(s) and a simple table.

Congrats Nitraa!! As other subscribers suggested, converting your kitchen nook into a pantry/appliance storage space sounds like a really good idea!! NEVER close off a bonus or extra space, find a way to utilize it!
I love watching your videos- you are truly an inspiration getting married first then buying a home you are such a great role model.
Your house is nice! Do not put your washer and dryer in the breakfast area. Your wood floors will be ruined. I have wood floors. Also, my water heater bursted three yrs ago. But my washer and dryer were in my garage. We took them out of the house and made the area where our dryer/washer our computer room.

What a lovely home! I agree that moving the washer dryer inside is a good idea - you won't regret spending the money to do that. Congrats to both of you!
That open space that you might make a laundry room, you can make it a window seat without any reconstriction. There are many thick fluffy benches that could fit in that space. And it could be use for mediation, reflection, writing, study, or just look out the window if the view is nice.

Perhaps I am a little late in posting a suggestion for the nook area but here it goes. Leave the washer and dryer outside and add a portable window seat and a small table. Now if you are going to have kids, it will make an excellent play area for the little ones. Take care.

Thanks for sharing this part of your life on RUclips with us. I love to see people grow in life, tastes, and hobbies...I know the end result will be as fabulous as you are. I have an idea on what to do with the space next to the kitchen. I don't know if you and Colton drink, but it would be a nice hosting spot if you put in some selves, or a mobile bar area. It can house wine and spirits as decoration or you can actually utilize it when you all have company!
Buying a house is this most exciting moment! Congrats! Me and my husband closed on our first brand new home in November and I'm still not done decorating!! Lol but I truly enjoy it... Have Fun🌹

I love your hauls and tutorials because you give great advice. Another one of my fav gurus just had a baby now she only show baby clothes and talk about her breasts leaking!😧😕Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you and her but she became so bad that I had to unsubscribe. I couldn't look at another baby outfit lol! Another guru is making videos about how to make coffee because she used to work at Starbucks! 😕 You are always on point with the makeup! I was born and raised in New York but my family is from Alabama so you're the top guru in my mind. New Yorkers tend to think people from the south are late when it comes to fashion and make up but you shut it down Ms. Nitra!!!! I miss your hauls and monthly favorites. You even got me to get the new Lancôme foundation and you didn't lie my friend! It's awesome!!! I bought one for home and one to keep in my purse. But anyway, it was just s thought because a few gurus that I watch have different channels for different topics, just a thought. Anyway, thanks for your response.

I would definitely enclose the breakfast nook and make it into a laundry room. I love my laundry room and I used to have my washer and dryer in our garage and hated it. We built the model of our house because I fell in love with the pantry, laundry room, kitchen and walk in closet. I love my house. You have the nice eat in bar and then you'll have the dining area. We use our eat in bar and dining are all the time. Congrats on the house!!
