Very informative. I like the idea of not only describing each bit, but actually using it in practical demonstration. Thank you. Looking forward to more woodworking videos and tutorials from you.
Thank you. Your video answered my one question about which drill bit to use for my project. Your video was precise, informative and to the point. Excellent video.
02:00 *So* crispy! My tongue is clucking.. 06:14 That battery is a *pain* in the a.. and needs to be replaced with a bigger one! 08:30 *countersink* the screw.. 09:17 No need to drill a pilot hole - just punch the board. 10:00 and.. if you want to smooth it out - reverse the driving direction. In another video, *How2D2* is going to show us the use of *circle cutting drill bits* . What the heck - I'm giving a thumbs up. Happy New Year 2020.
When using a hole saw, you should start the cut until the saw is a few mm into the material. Basically it just needs to score a line. Then you drill 3 or 4 holes on the waste side of that line. That way the hole saw can get rid of the saw dust much better. Leaving a cleaner hole with much less effort.
@@AzNightmare Most holesaws are just saw blades that are bent in a circle. They don't have the spiral grooves that drills have to clear the dust from the cut. By drilling the extra holes, you give the dust somewhere to go.
Thanks.. Excellent video.. very very useful. Please also provide the safety tips.. Always. Because all the guys watching this videos are new to this stuff.. Safety comes First!
That's what it is for!? I've had a countersink bit for years and never knew what its purpose was. I don't even know how I ended up with one in the first place...
Let's say I want to put a small screw into a wooden window, how do I determine the size of the bit that I will use to make a hole for the screw? Should it be the same size as the screw or smaller?
Always wear a mask when working with wood, clean and ventilate your room during and after work, change clothes and take a shower after work. Wood dust is dangerous as well, and especially when working with high speed tool.
Hi Thank you very much for this video! its really helped me out to understand the different functions of each bit. Thanks again! i just subscribed to your channel have a Great Day Bro!
i had to drill a very small hole in wood to pass a cable and thickness of wood was 1 inch only. so i fixed a big screw to my drilling machine and slowly drilled the screw through the wooden board. if u dnt have drill bits use screws

Thanks. I didn't know how to use that flat drill bit. Some of the bits i haven't seen before.
Useful information on which bits to use. I just finished my DIY of moving all my cable wires.
Another tip: use lower gear when drilling with larger drill bits or hole saws / forstner bits.
That's a rule rather than a tip..
Your brilliant at teaching!! Now I finally understand what to buy for what😁
