Great video Eric! I absolutely love the Twinkly Christmas lights and this seems like a cool product too. I’ve been wishing and praying for that native HomeKit support through at least two holiday seasons at this point. Fingers crossed they actually follow through.
I am seriously contemplating getting this. What size board did you need? Is it like a pin board that you put pins in to hold the flex. If you were free could you set in up for me if you were ever in the UK? 😝
If you're doing the Love template, the minimum space is 22.5x11. But you don't need a board. It's meant to be put right onto the wall. I just did it on the board cause I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it there or create a new design for the video. My board is 16x32 though for reference. Sure, I would love to come to the UK. Are you treating me, lol.
Great review. I love Twinkly xmas lights. No other product is like it! They are so much fun and my kids constantly play with them. I also love this concept of the flex. I've never seen a product like that either except for the Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip that is meant for the back of the TV. I wonder if it has the same feel of a tube? Of course this is much cheaper but I don't think it will work the same as the hue play. Maybe with Razer Chroma if there is a way to get it to work with your TV instead of a PC. Great video. Keep up the amazing work!
When I saw these at CES I was under the impression that while flexible, they were stiff enough to hold a shape on their own, even in a standing position.
Just got the Flex. My daughter loves it. Now does all Twinkly work with homekit? Went to the local Best Buy to get the flex and all the boxes say Alexa and Google. Thanks great content
Thanks for watching. The flex is pretty awesome. What design did you make? Only their newer stuff with Generation 2 Controllers work in HK. It's only on/off though.
@@ModernDayTech thanks for the reply. Yeah just looking mainly for easy off function all in one spot. A lot of playing with the app. The Christmas lights look awesome as well. Been power watching your videos. Great content
@@Bryno64 Thank you. I saw yesterday that Twinkly announced they have a new feature to group multiple Twinkly lights together so the lighting effect is mapped together when next to each other. I haven't tried it but it sounds awesome.
It likely won't get it. I have their Christmas tree lights (that they seemed to have the same patterns they are applying here) and their software updates are mostly non-existant.

And this is unreal as well i need me one of these there amazing
We've been waiting since CES 2021 folks! FINALLY
Yep, they delivered! Many products don't see the day of light, but Twinkly pulled it off!
Oh wow! I MUST get my hands on this. Can you connect two of them?
No, you can't physically connect two of them but you can sync two of them in the app. There's a small clip of two of them synced at 00:25
These are awesome!!! The templates is a nice touch. Great video, excited to see your review on other products!

Do you know how to fix my lights? They keep shutting off and not turning on until i factory reset them, i got them today and it has happened 3 times
If they make a really long verson like 32.6ft I'm sold
That would be cool! Especially if you could cut it the length that you needed to make your design.

Hi, is it possible to unplug the cabel to from some side?
No, it’s fixed.
Thanks
How much is this
And does it respond to music?
Watch the video.
Thought I’d be first
Damn Neil, that was seconds!
Awh...It doesn't hold it's own shape? I wanted to put it on my table.
Cool but definitely needs some work….seems pretty limited to start…
Like what? I love it!

1) Can’t be lengthened
2) Not weather proof
3) Doesn’t appear to be flexible enough.
Yup. $100 for 6ft of lights is a bit much. Limited on what u can do with it. Adding more just gets pricey.
