LOL!! Here in Texas we call that smothered squash and onions cause the poor little onions just got smothered by the squash.
For fried squash we batter the squash and fry in a skillet of hot oil. Interesting how methods are labeled differently in different areas of the country.
But you know what....it's all good and I'm glad to have it!! Jesus bless.

I’ve tried many time to make this dish the way Momma made it, always flopped!!! NOT THIS TIME. It was very good and I think maybe better than Moms. It was the BACON!!!

Well mercy sakes! I'm cooking my fried squash and onions as we speak.
