Nasimi is an Azerbaijani mystical poet who lived at the end of the 14th century, he wrote his poems in a much more spiritual sense, that is why you felt that way. This is his famous poem and Sami Yusuf composed a song to those lyrics. He also is the art director of this composition which was presented at the event dedicated to Nasimi's anniversary. Thank you for the video! even though I am Turkish this is my first time listening to this guy also! But we are used to those kind of music (chants so I didn't expect you to be moved by the song nor understand the true meaning of the lyrics. You're surprising me, Luke
Hi Luke. That second singer is Tayyar Bayramov, a famous Azerbaijani mugham singer, one of the best folk music voices in Azerbaijan. He sings mugham. Sami himself is an Azerbaijani Turk coming from Iran, where over 35 mln Azerbaijani Turks live on their historic lands nowadays being part of Iran (northern regions - ostans of Iran are officially called Azerbaijan). The female singer plays saz, one of our oldest national instruments. And the whole action took place in 2019 (Year of Nasimi in Azerbaijan) in Baku, Azerbaijan to celebrate Nasimi's 650th birthday. Nasimi was a 14th century poet and philosopher born in Shamakhy, Azerbaijan, famous for his gazals (verses / poetry) and adherence to a Sufi doctrine of hurufism. Hurufism used to put a man as the God's most perfect creature into the centre of the universe; this philosophy is also reflected in the Nasimi's gazals put into this music by Sami Yusif. There, it says: "I host both universes but cannot fit into this single one". For these and similar verses Nasimi was arrested and sentenced to death through being de-skinned alive by the arab khaliphat in Haleb, nowadays Syria; he was there to spread the hurufism doctrine along with others. That is the story of the song, its performers and Nasimi. Thanks for posting this! Cheers and love from Azerbaijan.
"The world is contained in me, so I can not be contained these world. Thus the God is in me, so I am the God themselves" says Nasimi- great Azerbaijani poet
This is a poem by a famous Azerbaijani Sufi poet, Nasimi. In his poem he uses contrasts to explain the difference between the physical and spiritual worlds. You need to really understand Islam and the importance of the connection with Allah/God to fully appreciate this masterpiece.
It seems like your Turkish viewers are generally young. Because of this, they don't recommend you an awesome Turkish singer of 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and even 2010s: Nilüfer (not the song Nilüfer, the singer Nilüfer) I recommend you these songs of her (some of them are covers): - Nilüfer - Taa Uzak Yollardan - Nilüfer - Dünya Dönüyor - Nilüfer - Mor Menekşe - Nilüfer - Kavak Yelleri - Nilüfer - Son Arzum - Nilüfer - Çok Uzaklarda
4:02 it is Azerbaijan folk music Mugam. That sounds what he makes with his throat is usual for Azerbaijani music school. You can read more about Mugam on Wikipedia as well. Sami Yusuf was born in Tehran (Iran) but he has interviews where he declares that he is Azerbaijani. It becomes because of historical (Russian-Persian war "Treaty of Kurakchay Treaty, Treaty of of Gulistan, Treaty of Turkmenchay") separation of Azerbaijan into South Azerbaijan (today Azerbaijan Republic with 10.000.000 population) and North Azerbaijan (todays South of Iran with 31.000.000 Azerbaijanis living there).Yes today in Iran lives more Azerbaijanies than in Azerbaijan and Sami Yusif one of them.
You know Bro. You have a gift from the Lord. that enables you to sense the things that is not allowed others to have. Remember that you are the special one. Indeed. Don't forget!!!
He didn’t bring the team with him, these are all Azerbaijani singers and musicians from Azerbaijan playing on Azerbaijan’s national instruments, playing Azerbaijani tunes, singing in Azerbaijani and the poetry of the Azerbaijani 14th century poet Nasimi! Sami Yusif is Azerbaijani Brit from Azerbaijan province of Iran (North). The Northern Azerbaijan split away 280 years ago and is now Republic of Azerbaijan. What you hear is Azerbaijan’s famous mugham. Look it up. 32 million Azerbaijanis live in Iran and 10 million in Republic of Azerbaijan. These artists are all Azerbaijan citizens, except Sami who is just ethnic Azerbaijani from Iran, a Brit. Azerbaijani is a Turkic language. What you heard was Azerbaijan’s music. Thank you for liking it!

2:40 the reason is that Azerbaijani language is the most harmonic language in the world.
What an excellent post thank you so much for the information I will pin this Nazli ♥️🙏
Wonderfull voice Sami Yusuf 💖
Он не перс .он азербайджанец.(южныйАзербайджан.Иран.)
"The world is contained in me, so I can not be contained these world.
Thus the God is in me, so I am the God themselves" says Nasimi- great Azerbaijani poet
The wonderful words of the greatest poet Nasimi 💝🇦🇿
This is a poem by a famous Azerbaijani Sufi poet, Nasimi. In his poem he uses contrasts to explain the difference between the physical and spiritual worlds. You need to really understand Islam and the importance of the connection with Allah/God to fully appreciate this masterpiece.
I totally agree 💎💙💓
its one of our fascnating arts in islamic culture
Your reaction to this composition is beyond any reward 🎉🏆🎁Thank you 🙏 🌹
It seems like your Turkish viewers are generally young. Because of this, they don't recommend you an awesome Turkish singer of 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and even 2010s: Nilüfer (not the song Nilüfer, the singer Nilüfer)
I recommend you these songs of her (some of them are covers):
- Nilüfer - Taa Uzak Yollardan
- Nilüfer - Dünya Dönüyor
- Nilüfer - Mor Menekşe
- Nilüfer - Kavak Yelleri
- Nilüfer - Son Arzum
- Nilüfer - Çok Uzaklarda

Sami Yusuf ”Hasbi Rabbi”. He sings this song in four different languages, and he shot his music video in four other countries

Thank you Luke “peace✌🏿”
Thank you soooo much for this video. This is an amazing song...
I like people who can hipe up to foreign music even if they don’t understand the lyrics

Parçayı güzelleştiren, öz be öz Türkçe ezgileri, Türkçe enstrümanları ve bu kadim kültürün müziğe yansımasıdır.
You should react to Sami Yusufs Azerbaijan song
I have no words to explain this performance
This reminded me of the group Kuan. You should listen to Kuan - Al Cenneti Çal Başına.
