Erick here. There is a confusion as to what we can and cannot do in the church buildings, these days. We will all need to hold on to the testimonies we have, for times will become very challenging and more confusing as we move forward. The Books of Mormon, is the word of God, this I know with all my being. Cling to your faith that Christ will clean and clarify in due time. I suggest a slow but constant study of the Book of Mormon. Pres Nelson has repeated that this book will be our guide to get us through these challenging times.

I would trust a close friend or relative with gender dysphoria before trusting a member of the Church with whom I have not formed a bond. Eric here! Trust is a big factor, no matter who is watching the kids. However, influence, that one may have with kids, is also a concern. I lost one daughter to this type of influence. So one can be honest, of a sound mind, even kind, but cause your children to take a wrong road out of curiosity. It's good to remember that people have to run the church and people are emotional and all levels of imperfect. We used to be able to handle a lot of this by sticking to the Gospel and not allowing other things to come up in class discussions and such. But unfortunately, there may need to be more reporting to the general church leadership to save wards/branches that are going off course. My biggest concern with trans is that Relief Society is supposed to be a place for women to bond and feel fellowship. The entire dynamic changes when you invite biological males into that space.
Eric here! Yes, this will be a challenge for relief society. Likewise for a woman trans to a man, in Priesthood classes. I suggest that we continue to speak up, with courtesy and defend the actual doctrine. I promise the Lord will work all this out in time. The Books of Mormon will be your guide to this, as well as having a real connection with the Holy Ghost. We can only control our personal space and environment. These will be very challenging times in the days ahead. We will see Satan's full power, but if we look and seek, we will also see Fathers hand in rising up "other leaders, politicians, church leaders and the body of members", to defend the right, during these times. There is a book that I may suggest, called, The Cleansing of America, by Cleon Skousen that may help understand what's happening today. Joseph & Brigham's prophecies of today are explained some there.
They already are coming for your kids. Without giving any names, a guy I know has a young daughter in elementary. A few months ago a girl in her grade asked another girl to be her girlfriend, and when she said no, she was bullied and called a homophobe. This guy knows his daughter, and she had openly talked about boys she likes. But when she was asked to be the other girl's girlfriend, she said yesto avoid being bullied as well. The fear is what else they might be willing to do to keep from being bullied.

We decided to pull my youngest two children from school so that we can home school them. It more work, I know, but now we will need to step up as parents and protect/educate our children. Erick here! I have also been seeing now that these type of things are in fact happening in the church, sadly. However, we need to remember that even in the Lord's church, while he walked this earth, was contaminated by ideologies/agendas, contrary to our Lord's teachings. When I was a Seminary teacher, there was a class just on this topic. I do promise that our Lord is aware of what is happening, and will correct and clarify all this in time. Jeff, I believe there is an instance lately of a mother who has been dressing her son in a dress, (Primary age) and has a calling in Primary and has been teaching LBGT stuff to primary children, Bishop did nothing. It’s here, there have been two men who got baptised as women and their names on the records of the church are women and they were given permission by the first presidency. Ill post links and details when I have a minute, it is here and will get stronger, I have just come across you guys and find you a breath of fresh air as I retreat from my ward teachings.

It’s unfortunate this person was and is being paraded around as the new possibility for the LGBTQ community to get their wish and open the door for same sex celestial marriage. We will fight against this for sure and I will openly oppose any attempt by any church leader to go against principle core doctrine I.e the proclamation etc
So the pattern we are taught to live by says we are to turn the other cheek 3 times and endure the attacks of our enemies. We are to warn the enemy publicly as Bednar did right after the shutdowns that they were not justified. But we endured their first attack. Jab. There must come two more and we must endure those as well. After that God himself will figure for our battles if we fulfill our part and know He is in charge. So the jab was attack number 1, we just have two more then God will go on the offense for us.

In Journal of Discourses, I was listening to a talk by Brigham Young, where he clarified that the Lord cannot help us, unless we first seek to help ourselves. I too have the understanding that we endure 3 offenses, prior to taking physical action, but that we need to take verbal, yet courteous actions now. Once we act, the Lord can intervene. Please keep your faith and really hold tight to the Book of Mormon and it's teachings.
There is definitely both. I read the story of one gentleman caught in the “trans world “ on SM and he said it was more addictive than heroin which he had tried . It took everything he had to leave that “world “ and get out .

There are those who are truly confused, which has always been considered a mental illness, until now. The movement is one that for some odd reason seems to spark an interest in many. Creating a fad as well as kids feeling obligated to accept or be a part of the LGBTQ movement. The churches recent decisions and actions are also causing confusion with our youth and adults. I heard one LGBTQ activist tell that he is gay because of the sex. He has a strong sex drive and men are mostly more active than women, sexually. So he became gay for this reason. My own daughter is caught up in this as well as a very close friend of mine. It bastardizes the Natural Law and plan of our Father, for sure. This all being said, we cannot condon nor hate. We will need to lean heavily on the Spirit to guide us and help us eradicate this perverted sin from within our Saviors Church. Trying times ahead,vIm afraid, but by clinging to the Book of Mormon and digesting it's teachings, all of them, we will each gain understanding, wisdom and strength to beat this battle. I promise the Lord will come through in the end.

@@tomasina10 This is not a fad. Humans have always had gender fluidity that we have had to develop descriptions for. We are all learning. There is too much othering amongst church members and the leaders are way behind the times and I feel are floundering.
Really enjoy your episodes. A suggestion if I may? I would prefer they be longer. I really like the discussions and would like to hear more on these topics. I think God has his standards, but I think too these things that are going on in the church may be his way of teaching us to love everyone. Not that we except certain things as ok. This will be a trying experience for many, but I promise that if we all do our part, stand for truth in a courteous but consistent manner, be like Christ was and as solid and lovingly stern he was, we can help our Savior and build his Kingdom, even while all this confusion will unfold. Heavenly Father's children should be treated according to their actions, faith, and devotion, not by what titles they're been given -- whether you give them name of "transgenders", "communists" or Samaritans. A wise parent would trust their children with someone you know to be kind, loving, honest and empathetic rather than an unknown stranger with lofty Church titles.
