    My mom used to belong to Church of Christ. I was TERRIFIED to tell her I was converting last year. She was hurt that I didn't invite her to the Easter Vigil because I converted when I was away from college. Now my mom started coming go Mass with me and she actually likes Mass. Also real presence was why I wanted to become Catholic. I will be praying for you Lizzie :) God bless

Pope the universal father,priest were also call father? Christmas?taking bread once or twice in a year,music..multiple collection..woman that lead prayer in attendance of baptized man,kissing the pope hand,virgin mary..who had multiple childen,praying to mary as mediator..or the priest..come on you know it is totally wrong.doing this just for the sake of finding fame is an insult to god.

    I was a Jehovah Witness. Left the society in 2014. Parents threw me out and lost everyone. For some reason I looked into the Catholic Church (although I always hated what I thought was the "Whore of Babylon") and it's teachings. To my complete shock, Everything made sense. As a Jw, I was taught lies and just believe it. But I knew I found the REAL Truth. That void I always felt was finally filled. Was baptized a Catholic 1/1/17.
    I am now an altar server at my local Latin mass community and have a huge new spiritual family.
    Deo Gratias! 🙏🏻😇
    Congratulations and May God bless and Our Lady keep you always!

    I had a job once. We got a new co worker. He was hardcore Protestant. He read his bible 4-5hrs a day !! He told me, “God gave me this job to help you become Protestant.”
    We argued everyday for 5yrs. I kept hammering away at Isaiah 22. I kept telling him

      I wish GK Chersteron was alive today. He would see a church that post-Vatican 2 doesn't believe the same things about salvation as before. He would see a bunch of respected Catholic scholars in good standing with the Vatican tell us that the papacy didn't exist early on. I guess you could find a lot of pre-Vatican 2 quotes that wouldn't hold up to any scrutiny today.

    • @tessa7413
      @tessa7413 6 лет назад +3

      geoffrobinson I haven't come yet across any "Catholic" scholars who denied the papacy - only scholars who defend it. I know the Church went through a crisis of faith and lukewarm-ness though, and there were some really bad scholars and theologians who did not do the faith justice, but I think they've been on their way out, because I haven't come across them - I'm not familiar with any of these scholars names or their books.

      //I haven't come yet across any "Catholic" scholars who denied the papacy - only scholars who defend it. //
      The Roman Catholic Church: Its Origin & Nature by John F. O'Grady, page 146, footnote 11:
      O'Grady is a Roman Catholic priest and professor of biblical theology
      "11. The emergence of a single bishop in Rome probably did not arise until the middle of the second century. Linus, Cletus and Clement were probably prominent presbyter-bishops but not necessarily monarchical bishops. That Peter was the first bishop of Rome and founded the Christian church there can be found no later than the third century. Cf. O'Connor, Peter..., 207. See also Brown, Priest..., 53-54."
      Peter in Rome Daniel W. O'Connor; Raymond Brown "Priest and Bishop
      www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/evangelicals-docs/rc_pc_chrstuni_doc_20111220_report-1993-2002_en.html
      (25) Catholics see the work of the Holy Spirit in a number of significant developments in the early Church. These include the understanding of bishops as successors to the apostles; the emergence of the three-fold ministry of bishop, priest and deacon; the clarification of the apostolic faith especially by ecumenical councils and the universal creeds; and the gradual acknowledgement of the effective leadership of the bishop of Rome within the whole Church. Even from early times, the Bishop of Rome had a prominent role in fostering the communion of local churches over which bishops presided, the initial expressions of a primacy that developed over the centuries.
      If I may bring out the implication of this: there wasn't an early papacy but we're putting a good spin on this.

    I live in Germany, mother of the Reform. Almost every month we have a Protestant coming to our Church looking for baptism. I have been living here for more than 10 years and I was surprised by the numbers. Not only children's but also adults. And by the way, many people educated in the old "soviet union" system and were educated under atheism. They also look for the Church and got baptism.
    Atheists. Agnostics. Protestants. Esoterics. Buddhists. MUSLIMS TOO. People from all backgrounds, people from several nations including India, Japan, Cuba.... they all look for baptism in my Church, Saint Agnes.
    It's a blessing to see so many souls coming back to Christ and to His Church after so many years in atheism or Lutheranism.
    Blessed be the Lord our King Jesus. I love you 💖💞💞💞

      I feel so sorry for you, Catholicism is man made, added dogmas by man, Christianity answers the question WHAT IS TRUTH....Catholicism violates and goes against EVERYTHING Jesus Christ stood for.....Catholics Go against the 10 commandants in every way, but then you use man-made dogma and "Tradition" to justify it. Where as the Christian needs nothing but Gods Word and a relationship with Christ...
      I feel so much pitty and sorrow for Catholics, You twist and corrupt Gods precious word, There is NOTHING you can say to justify the things Catholics do....There is NO SCRIPTURE that supports it, BUTTTT there is a Book that 100% REFUTES Catholicism, it's called the bible....Go read your bible and try to find annnyyy scripture to support any of the stuff Catholics do....Catholics go against Gods word 100%......Mary was special yes she gave birth to Christ but that's where it ends, she is NOT divine in any way, she can't intercede for you she's DEAD you pray and ask a dead woman to go to christ on your behalf BLASPHEME...same thing with the saints....
      You put emphasis on it because the Pope says so.....the pope is nothing, nobody he has no more authority than any other christian, but you worship him like a god, you say you don't but you do...I was catholic for many years I have seen the way ALL CATHOLICS react to the pope....Catholicism as a whole violates everything Christ stood for, but you wrap it up in dogma and add a bunch of man made religion to it, that way you give it authority.....
      LOOK at your bible, where in the bible does it say annnyyything about a pope...yes Jesus says on this rock PETERRRRRRRR, and yes he gave special authority to the Apostles, Catholics add there man made to it, no priest can forgive you of your sins, you are in sin every time you ask them to, you are in sin every time you call them father.....My goodness man, JUST READ YOUR BIBLE.

      Jimbo nope but it definitely would be if Catholics were true Christians. Catholics are joining Islam as we speak and that's why the pope refuses to say anything bad about them including Isis! Actually it was Catholicism that started Islam 1500 years ago with the plans of coming together in the future. Satan is extremely smart and is literally deceiving people with the truth mixed with lies and people are falling for it. The Bible prophesied a one world religion in the end times ran by Satan and the Vatican is at the front of it! There's very few people who actually follow the Bible. Just because someone claims to be Christians doesn't mean they are Christians!

    • @nicholasjames5181
      @nicholasjames5181 6 лет назад +1

      Sharon Mccaffrey the narrow path isn't sacraments. It's people who are heading towards destruction! The path is wide that leads to destruction and the path to the gates of heaven is narrow! You have been extremely brainwashed and it's very sad and unfortunate! Well I guess the priest that brainwashed you and everyone else are heading to hell since they can't complete your man made sacraments since they're not allowed to get married. Those are your words not mine! Ever though the Bible says they MUST be married! Maybe if they got married they would leave the children alone! Now there's a good idea! You are to brainwashed that you can't even see how you contradicts not only the Bible but also yourself! Those are great Ten Commandments the Catholics cult gave you, but try knowing Gods Ten Commandments because the Catholics have changed the word for god. They removed the commandment that tells you you're not allowed to make idols. You know things like statuses, and other ridiculous items like that. You know the exact same things every Catholic organization is full of and the followers homes and cars! And then they spilt another commandment into two so it would still be Ten. And Jesus never said to physically eat his body and drink his blood literally! Keep reading the scriptures directly after to see to context. The Bible is completely against cannibalism. Satan and his followers are the ones who are into cannibalism. Let that sink in for a moment! You need to repent and worship Jesus Christ only and follow the true gospel of salvation which comes from our apostle Paul and you find it in 1 Corinthian's 15:1-4! If you're believing in vain which is to depend on your works to get into heaven you will be extremely disappointed because you can't earn your salvation in anyway. It's by grace through faith ONLY! Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, read Galatians chapter 3 to find out what happens to those who depend and count on what they do! They definitely don't end up in heaven and that means you're only going to end up in the only other place which isn't purgatory it's hell, because purgatory doesn't exist! 🙄

    • @nicholasjames5181
      @nicholasjames5181 6 лет назад

The best evidence we have (also mentioned by Catholic theologians) is that we didn't even have a single head bishop in the city of Rome The dogma of the Assumption of Mary is completely absent from the historical record of the church at least until the 4th century of so. We even have a bishop in Jerusalem saying that they have no idea what happened to Mary. But somehow in 1950 Rome changed all that?
      You may like the quote. You may come from a denomination that is shallow on history. One where you know nothing of Christianity prior to Billy Graham. But I assure you this quote isn't even remotely a good one.
      If you want to actually honestly see where we're coming from, I would highly recommend listening to these lectures: www.christiantruth.com/audiolectures.php

    Hi,Lizzie,I just want to thank you for the explanation,I'm a 15-year-old Catholic girl and a few weeks ago I've been doubting about the real presense of Jesus in the Eucharist because I have many Protestant friends and some of them say that Catholics worship "a piece of bread" so I was about to believe in them.I cried when I was watching this video, and now I can say that I never been so sure of my faith.I will pray for you.

      Hi Livia. I had these questions once during adoration and the following occurred to me. In addition to what Lizzie said, if God was incarnate in Christ as a human being, as matter, having a body, then we can have faith in the Eucharist. We don't worship every piece of bread, but specifically this piece, because He instituted it as a sacrificial food and spiritual food for us. It is of Himself, wholly, and He gives Himself to us.

    • @johnb4632
      @johnb4632 6 лет назад +7

      Livia Carvalho;
      Everything is not written in the bible.More importantly one must pray.
      John 21;25
      25 But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.
      Catholics don't believe in sola scriptural.We believe in Sacred/Oral Traditions meaning passed down from the church and apostles.

      Catholicism is a completely unbiblical, they worship their own commandments of men and have the audacity to put you under these. Weird teachings that says "Do Three Hail Marys!", "Plead The Blood", "Mother Of God" all which causes you to curse yourselves.
      They are so deceptive and so prideful that they tell you that God has a Mother and a co-redeemer instead of just saying Jesus was born of a virgin called Mary on earth. The Mother of God that they worship is actually secretly Innana, Ishtar, Diana or Diana Lucifera, it's basically Lucifer. This however is in the Bible, the Queen of Heaven is who they really worship and it's in the Old Testament.
      They put you under the law again and they torment you with false teachings so you will never be able to come to the truth and worst of all, they even make false denominations. Just stick with your Bible and let Jesus lead you, lean not on your own understanding or flesh but study everyday

I studied the hebrew roots movement for awhile because I felt like protestant christianity was so off from scripture but when I started studying the Catholic church and history I realized that the protestant religions are so off because they separated from Catholicism where the authority of the church explains the deeper parts of the new testament. Plus being a part of 2 thousand years of continuous history is really awesome!!

      Bethany, the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ, not the Roman Empire which slaughtered Christians and against which the Church fought. Your assertion is absurd. Read the early church fathers as Lizzie recommended (the ones taught directly by the Apostles themselves), and you will see that you are mislead. The Catholic Church feeds the poor, shelters the homeless, builds schools and hospitals, educates the lowly, protects life at all ages, defends marriage, etc. etc. etc. These are fruits of the Holy Spirit, not works of Satan.

I am so delighted for you. Welcome, Sister in Christ. I am glad to hear that you found the truth. It is so beautiful how God Holy Trinity lead us to the truth and it is so beautiful to see that once we knock the door he will always open it. When we open our hearts to the truth. It is as the Word of God says: It will set us free. May God bless you and Mama Mary protects you. Do not be afraid to love Mary, remember her last words in the Bible were: 'Do whatever He tells you'. John 2:5, which means She will always lead us to Jesus Christ and She will teach us to obey and be the child of God that God wants us to be in all the possible ways, she gave example to this when Mary said, "Yes, I am a servant of the Lord; let this happen to me according to your word. Luke 1:38, She becomes the Mother of God, suffer while he was torture and rejoiced and stayed with his disciples until She was lifted up to join his Son. Absolutely beautiful. I was so torn between the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church not too long ago, but I chose to become catholic from the same reasoning you provided in the video. We can have many Christian churches that can claim “our church is based on the Bible”, not many churches can say “we are the church that the Bible was based off of”. That’s what I truly believe about the Catholic Church. It is the Church that the Bible was based off it. So in order to fully interpret the Bible correctly we have to read it in the context of the Church itself.

      @Patrick Montgomery no one in the Catholic Church says you *_need_* to go through mary? If they do that is anti Catholic and quite frankly heresy. When Christ gave Mary to John whilst in agonizing pain on the cross, He declared to John, "behold your mother". The Bible describes John as "the disciple Jesus Loved" So as the Bible ascribes these traits to John, like him, Catholics (all Christians really) try to follow in John's steps inviting Mary into our Hearts and homes. Mary implored her son's help at the wedding feast at Cana, wherein which He was RELUCTANT. Even still, as reluctant as He was, Christ was compelled to help His "earthly" Mother even though He was in fact her God. This is why we ask Mary to implore on our behalf to her son, that He may be compelled to help us even when HE may be reluctant.
      if Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then *_His_* compassion towards *_His_* "earthly" Mother is the same yesterday today and forever.

    I was nervous too...my journey was 40 years long. But I really think you will love your RCIA classes. Honestly it made such a difference. The teachers are so loving and gentle and they give you time and understanding so that I don't feel pressured. I felt SO lead to do this and yet it's so huge that I get your nervousness...(except that I don't discuss it on a RUclips channel...as I'm an old gal) You're a brave and honest girl who had searched so earnestly and your videos are delightful. I am keeping you in my prayers. Hugs xxx

    I have been searching to find a catholic you tuber because I am Catholic and really want someone to relate to and listen to their thoughts. I am really happy for you and your conversion. I am keeping you in my prayers. I hope that on this journey down the path of Catholicism you encounter God in ways you have never before and that you become the best version of yourself. There will be ups and downs, but never let you faith waver. The journey of conversion can feel like you are betraying your old faith, and there might be hate for that, but I hope you stay strong and let God take the wheel.
    I'm praying for you. ❤️️

      Padre Teodoro you are a liar and a hypocrite. You no longer consider usury a mortal sin and you are allowed to charge interest with church funds. The entire world hates today's so called Catholic Church which has a vatican bank. The Pope speak about greed but allows usury. You today have a cabbalistic Church, you can read the Occult Renaissance Church of Rome by Michael hoffman and Usury in Christendom:the mortal sin that was and now is not by the same author.

    • @alexk6474
      @alexk6474 6 лет назад

      What are you talking about, I talk about usury and sodomy in the Catholic Church and their Cabbalistic front and what do you bring up for your defence, a single example that is even incomprehensible. Explain to me why the Vatican make interest on money that is prohibited by the Gospel? And please apologize for calling me a religious bigot when you refuse to answer my question regarding usury.

    • @alexk6474
      @alexk6474 6 лет назад

      Once again, you have not apologized and you refuse to answer my question. In Luke it says lend freely expecting nothing in return meaning not to take interest on money. According to canon law of 1983, the Vatican has the obligation to take interest on church funds. In 1515, the Pope urged the Catholic confessors of not ''disturbing'' the ''Catholic and orthodox'' usurers. In 1745, Vix Pervenit by Benedict the XIV allowed usury to be practiced through loopholes such as through external titles on loans which allowed the continuation of usury and then in code of canon law of 1917 profit on a loan was permissible on a fungible good as long as it agreed with civil law.

    Welcome to the Catholic Church. I converted from the Church of Christ over a decade ago. It was hard for my friends there to accept, and some even stopped speaking to me altogether. It was hard, but it was worth it. I had fought this conversion. I tried to disprove it...and now I'm married to a Catholic deacon who was once an athiest trying to disprove the teachings of the Catholic Church. The Church of Christ is such a beautiful community, sincerely trying to reach the Christianity of the early church. I love seen so many of my brothers and sisters there studying their way into the Catholic Church. I love seeing conversion stories like yours. God bless you and may you receive all the graces necessary for a wonderful First Communion, Confirmation....

      Turn back for Heaven's sake! They teach penitence instead of repentance! They teach rosary praying which Jesus forbid. Matt 6.7 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." They teach traditions of men instead of commandments of God!

    • @redwoodmystic826
      @redwoodmystic826 6 лет назад

      Bad Medicine Go somewhere else with your heresy, brother. A Catholic who tells you to just pray the rosary and nothing else is a shite Catholic. Christ himself told us to recite the Our Father and half of the Hail Mary comes from Bible passages. If it's a sin to recite what Christ told and passages from the Bible then I guess I'm going to Hell. It's not about recitation, it's about thinking doing so will bring an affect or a change in itself which is akin to magic. Personally, I used it to meditate on the mysteries of God. Think about this, if you have to confess your sins, like Catholics, you're going to think twice before commiting a sin. Also how would you explain the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches who don't typically practice the rosary or even the belief in the Pope but still have like every other things that Catholics do? Protestantism is just selfish Christianity that'd rather be more like the American libertarian system of government than a church of Christ. Protestants have no respect for history or tradition but respect feeling over truth.

    I`m crying because my story is similar to yours. It's amazing how your life changes when you convert to catholisism and you really live catholisism. All I can tell you is that you will discover a lot of gorgeous things about Jesus and God, but the way will become harder, because you will became closer. Pray for protection every day, we need it the most, believe me. You will become target to the devil, you will feel sometimes that you lack faith, that you cant pray or connect with God like before. But after you pass through all that, you get a new gift. It never ends though, it will be your cross of everyday. Learn to love your cross.

      PLEASE READ THE WHOLE MESSAGE IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR SOUL
      Hello ,I want to tell you that the traditional Catholicism is the only right way and denomination because the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ who made St Peter the first pope and since that time all of the Peter's succesors were popes which guided the universal Church and I will provide you with absolutely UNDENIABLE AND IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE WHICH YOU MUST CHECK IN ORDER TO SAVE YOUR SOUL.However,the Vatican was infiltrated by Freemasons after the Second Vatican Council and that is why the Vatican is in a disastrous situation.This apostasy in the Church does not disprove Catholicism but on the contrary proves it because the traditional Catholic prophecies by MOST HOLY AND MIRACOLOUS SAINTS IN HISTORY WHICH CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN CATHOLICISM together with the prophecies of Our Lady of Fatima(which was the SECOND BIGGEST MIRACLE IN HISTORY AFTER THE RESSURECTION),our Lady of good success and Our Lady of La Salette warned about this massive apostasy and great crisis and this is precisely why we have someone so wicked and satanic like Antipope Francis.Thus to be saved one needs to embrace the traditional Catholic faith and reject the heresies of the Second Vatican Council and Antipope Francis who is an evil heretic.You can know that Catholicism is true because the Bible proves the teachings of the Catholic Church(I will leave the links to very important videos below).You can also know this because of the uninterrupted number of miracles throughout the whole history of the catholic church which scientists were not able to disprove and the most holy saints which had strong prophetic visions and prophecies of things which are fullfilled in these latter days.I RECOMMEND YOU TO CHECK THE WEBPAGE MHFM(VATICANCATHOLIC.COM) for critical soul saving information and contact them if you need any help or if you are in doubt.
      NOW I WILL GIVE YOU IMPORTANT LINKS TO THE IRREFUTABLE BIBLICAL AND HISTORICAL EVIDENCE THAT PROVE CATHOLICISM.PLEASE CONSIDER AND CHECK THIS CRITICAL MATERIAL AND OVER TIME YOU WILL REALISE WHAT THE TRUTH IS AND HOW TO BE SAVED.PLEASE BE OPEN MINDED IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND CONSIDER THE MATERIAL WHICH I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH.

      I warn you, the Catholic Church is actually pagan. The Bible warned about it, they worship the Queen of Heaven, Diana Lucifera also called Diana, Ishtar, Innana or Mother Of God and not Mary and you should never worship Mary but God. A very clever name alteration. They teach you the commandments of men which are not in the Bible and false doctrines.
      False doctrines of Catholicism:
      1. Mother of God is Mediator.
      2. Pope also called Father is the replacement of Jesus on earth.
      3. The idea of repetition in prayer.
      4. That statues are good to "venerate".
      Doctrines of the Bible:
      1 Timothy 2:5-6 "5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
      Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."
      Matthew 6:7 “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”
      Exodus 20:4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
      Now these are in almost every Bible translation even in the Catholic Bible but they removed one of the Ten Commandments in their doctrines that forbid idols and graven images such as statues of "Mary".

      dude, you are seriously deluded. you can interpret the scripture any way you want. If you are raised in the Protestant church you are trained to believe the Catholic church is a lie. Anyone who researches the Bible and the early church history will come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church is the true Church that Jesus established on earth. But I don't blame you, you have been raised in an environment to hate the Catholic Church. It takes real courage and God's grace to actually see the truth. God bless you.

      Fr. Justin Freeman read the Bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be taught by the Holy Spirit, not by man. I was raised Catholic. Catholicism completely perverts the word of God. Jesus is the only way. Catholics pray to saints and Mary. They ask for intercession. This is necromancy which is forbidden by God. Mary was just a woman who was blessed by God. She was not sinless. Calling her sinless is blasphemy. So is calling the priest father, and the pope holy father. Another title of the pope is vicar of Christ which literally means replacement of Christ. Catholics believe in purgatory which their is no such thing. According to the Bible forbidding people to marry like in the Catholic Church is considered doctrines of demons. There is a reason the fruit of the Catholic Church is evil. More people have died, especially christians who did not bow to the pope, from the Catholic Church than any other organization on earth in history. The pope makes up new rules which is blasphemy. Why does the Vatican have an obelisk? Look at the giant serpent design in Vatican hall and the demonic looking Jesus behind the pope in Vatican hall. The Vatican is littered with occult symbolism. I've studied the occult for years. However, it is hard to point out occult symbolism to people unaware. Look at the popes mitre or hat. It comes from Dagon or nimrod the fish goddess of Babylon. Believe priest are required as mediators to forgive sins is blasphemy. Read the book of Acts. There is a reason you don't see the Holy Spirit manifest in the Catholic Church and in its followers. If you are not willing to follow Jesus first before any man or religion, then you not Christian and will have your part in the lake of fire. Read the Bible and pray in secret so the mysteries of the kingdom of God are revealed to you. Unless a man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. A friend of the world is an enemy of God. Whoever loves the world or the things of the world does not have the love of the father in him. Seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and it will be opened. Here are some true ministries from the Lord I pray will bless you: cardboard box Church, the last reformation, torch of Christ ministries, and the ghetto gospel team. These are all on RUclips. God bless

      Because trough Mary you have Jesus. Praise her because she is a lowly and humble servant who accepted God's will without question.
      If you don't want the Catholic teachings then go forth yourself, spread your faith and good deeds to others.
      Do not be anxious on the Catholic faith, if it will not inline with your beliefs, because it's you who can save yourself and God's divinity for your salvation..

      george zaggogiannis
      Here's my response to that "rock hard reason and logic"...
      There's this thing called symbolism. Jesus used it a lot. He spoke on lots of parables.
      Jesus also called Himself "the door," "the vine," "living water," and the "Good Shepherd."
      If Peter being given "the keys to the kingdom" made him the pope, how come none of the disciples could agree on who was in charge? How come Jesus didn't tell the other disciples to obey Peter? Isn't the Pope supposed to be infallible? Didn't Jesus call Peter "Satan?" Didn't Peter proceed to deny Jesus 3 times? How come Peter cut off the servant's ear in the garden when Jesus was being arrested if he knew that Jesus' plan was not to fight? "Pontifex Maximus" is the title of a pagan priest. The first time that it was used in reference to the Pope, the person who wrote it was making fun of the Pope for claiming more authority than he had. What happened to us all being priests? What happened to Jesus being the ONE mediator between God and man?
      The only place in the Bible where it talks about a "queen of heaven" is in reference to a pagan deity. Jesus said that His mother and brothers were those who obey Him.
      You have been led astray.

There is no scriptural references to NUNS. They BELIEVE they will marry Jesus CHRIST, well thats polygamy! So all of this is just confusing to me! And NUNS lay in coffins for 9 hour's straight then they can be a nun, then the priest gives you a new NAME and your not allowed to use your birth name! You give up your family, and you don't ever talk with them! Padre Sam There's a party in heaven celebrating her deciding to not believe in Salvation through faith alone in Christ alone but through a combination of her works Jesus' works and the "Saints" works as well as grace? Umm... No. If you have to work for it, it's not grace.

    • @mikeonpc
      @mikeonpc 6 лет назад +3

      Kate the Great The one place the Bible has "faith" and "alone" in the same sentence is James 2:17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Don't get me wrong, catholics are lost in their own unbiblical traditions of men.

    • @katethegreat4918
      @katethegreat4918 6 лет назад

      Bad Medicine it's just faster than saying "salvation by faith, not by works". Also, the word for faith in James is different from the kind of faith that I am talking about.

    • @mikeonpc
      @mikeonpc 6 лет назад +1

      Kate the Great,
      "salvation by faith, not by works" is *not* in the Bible either. We are *justified* by faith, but saved *through* faith. And it's not "by works" but *"of* works." These are subtle yet significant differences.
      Eph 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved *through* faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not *of* works, lest any man should boast."
      Nor does the Bible teach that salvation is through "faith alone" no matter how you phrase it. The Bible teaches justification and sanctification, grace and truth (Col 1:6), faith and verity (1Tim 2:7), repentance from dead works (Heb 6:1) and obedience (Heb 5:9).
      John 3:21 But he that *doeth truth* cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      *"the word for faith in James is different"* The only difference between pistis faith and pisteōs faith is the case. Same word, Strong's 4102. However, there is a difference in the two words for believe in John 3:36. biblehub.com/interlinear/john/3-36.htm

    I just celebrated my 2 years back into the church on 2/10, which was Ash Wednesday back in 2016. I was baptised in the Catholic church as a baby and then my family never really followed up with church. I felt the pull as a teenager but never had any guidance. So finally, after a grueling journey of life without God, and much soul searching and studying, I came back 2 years ago at 37, and brought my family with me. every time i go to church i feel right at home. I love my church family. I love my Catholic faith and love encountering Jesus with communion and the liturgy every weekend and also in every day.
    I wish you all the best, God bless!

      Hera678 read the Bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God bless

      nathan henry I really wish non-Catholics didn’t see us Catholics in a hatful and disdainful way because we as Christians are not suppose to act that way to one another, while pretty much every non-Catholic group criminalizes us and that’s hypocrisy. I have a few answers to some things you’ve said but I will admit that I do not have every answer to everything as I’m assuming you don’t have every answer to everything because I’m just a regular 18 year old Cradle-Catholic that sometimes does have struggles with her faith, sins, and has character flaws, as well as every other human being on this Earth. I’m not saying that us as Catholics are “The True People,” we are just all sinners that are going to the one, true, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.
      So to clear things up, we do not pray to saints like we pray to God. We ask Saints in heaven to pray for us as intercessors just like how you would ask a friend to pray for you if you were going through a rough time, or a family member of yours is sick. Another thing is that Mary was claimed to be sinless. I mean look at her ascension into heaven, she went straight to heaven and only her and Jesus have done that(correct me if I’m wrong). This leads into the purgatory statement you’ve made and how there’s “no such thing.” First of all, and I mean this in a non-diminishing way, but how would you know? You’re not dead, and really how can any of us be certain as Christians about anything pertaining to the afterlife? It’s by faith we know and believe this. But to get back on track purgatory is a place our souls go after death to be cleansed of our sins before we go to heaven because there is no sin in paradise, so when Mary ascended into heaven, she had no sin and skipped purgatory(in layman’s terms, she got a fast-pass into paradise). So the next thing is the Pope. The Pope goes all the way back to Peter and his foundation and leadership of the Catholic Church. Jesus TOLD Peter to be the rock and the foundation of the new Church and to pretty much lead everyone to salvation(to be “fishers on men,” if you will). This position has been passed down to each Pope from Peter on till now and it is more than just one mans position. The Popes have converted and helped others throughout the ages which gives those people they’ve helped salvation. The Popes are only being disciples of Christ as Jesus has called all of us as Catholics to be.
      The next statement that I’ll comment on is that you said we forbid people to marry. I’m not entirely sure what you mean there but if you are talking about the Nuns and Priests then yes as do not condone marriage amongst those groups because they’re married to the Church and God. Becoming a Nun or Priest is their vocation(if you don’t know what that means look it up please) while some people’s vocation may be to marry and have children or to just live a single life.
      “There is a reason the fruit of the Catholic Church is evil.” This comment you made both stung a little bit and was confusing not gonna lie. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is good and pure and true and love and that is the exact opposite of evil? God gave us the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Catholic Church, so how can they be evil if God gave them to us and he is the true form of love and goodness.
      So the next thing is that you said that more people have died in the Catholic Church than pretty much anybody else. Well for one we have martyrs, which are people who die for their faith, and it is horrible but there are people that are still being persecuted TO THIS DAY for their faith, but I also think that it is a very brave and the most faithful way someone could leave this world and go into the next. It’s horrible that has happened to them but they obviously have a spot reserved in heaven. Another reason why we have so many people die in our faith is because we are older than any other Christian sect. Protestants stemmed off of us and some Protestants don’t even have every piece of the puzzle to match us. Some are missing specific books out of their Bible, some do not believe in certain sacraments and there is a list of a lot more things that we do and don’t have in common. Oh, and the Crusades were also a thing. There was a lot that happened but look it up from a Catholic historian perspective because history is both white-washed and Protestant biased. Post-Martin Luther’s division of the Catholic Church, the Protestants beat the Catholics to the printing press so many things in history are falsely portraying Catholics as evil because they’re Protestant biased. I’m not saying that there weren’t people in the Catholic Church that were bad, if anything we own up to any bad actions, but that’s from a person or a group of people. Their actions is not the Church itself, the Church itself is perfect. People inside are sinful. Hence why we’re going to Church.
      Also, you say that we’re an occult because of certain symbolisms in Churches. This goes back to a historical aspect of our Church. Not everyone could read and write in the early Church to roughly the late 1800s so Churches had paintings and stain glass windows to tell the stories of the Bible because most people could obviously not read the Bible unless you were from a rich family or were a monk or priest or something like that. So some stories depict some evil symbols such as the serpent because it’s a historical tradition that the Catholic Churches still have to tell the stories from the Bible.
      Soooo onto Confession. There is honestly a lot I can say about Confession but I’ll shorten it for now. It is a time where we go in to talk to a Priest about our sins and finally letting them go and be given up to God for his forgiveness.
      The last thing I’ll comment on from what you said is that you shouldn’t say that we, or anybody for that matter will be condemned to hell. First off it’s rude, second you won’t have people listen to you if you just tell them that they’re all sinners and are going to hell, thirdly I’m sure it’s some type of sin to scream hate at someone, sooo hypocrisy? Don’t tell people that ever because you’re not God and you don’t know. You don’t know anything about anyone else and what they could have going on in their life and I’m sure the last thing anyone needs is to be told that they’re going to hell. We just have to try to spread love and fellowship through our actions of helping each other out through this rollercoaster of life.
      Like I stated at the beginning, I don’t know everything about my faith and that doesn’t make me any less Catholic or any less a child of God it just makes me human. So my advice is go talk to a priest with a lot of questions and with an open mind about Catholicism if you want the truth.

    Hey lizzy I did the same thing last year. I was the assistant pastor in a baptist church. I wasn't content with the answers that I was given concerning the assembly of saints, so I started studying. I didn't want to have to leave all my friends behind and felt as if I was betraying everyone I loved in the baptist church. I actually lost a future wife. But all of the lost is nothing compared to Christ. Jesus finally revealed himself through the Eucharist and I burst out in tears knowing that it was Jesus. I then desided that the following day when I go to church I will speak with the pastor to tell him I won't be serving any more and will be leaving. This Easter I'm now going to join full communion with the Catholic Church. Oh, I'm also planning on becoming a Franciscan priest and friar. My journey should start this year. I would love you to add me on Facebook where we could share our stories better. May God bless you now and for ever.

Its not always easy to follow our Lord and He tells us as much; which is why we're asked to take up our cross. Where is a person going when they are carrying a cross?.... to a crucifixion. To say my feels betrayed is understatement. My journey also begin around 15 when I left the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Keep up the research that’s what helps me it seems to help you too!

    Lizzie, welcome home!! So thrilled for you and will continue to pray for you through the Lenten season. I am sponsoring one of my Protestant friends who is also coming into the Church at the Easter Vigil, just as I did four years ago. Like you, I was drawn by the Eucharist and the teaching of Scripture, particularly John 6 and the early Church's understanding of the Eucharist. As St. Peter answered Jesus when He asked if Peter would leave too (like many of his disciples who left due to their understanding of the bread of life discourse), “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." Once one's eyes are open to the understanding of Christ's Real Presence in the Eucharist, we have no choice. So amazing to see how many Protestants are entering full communion with the apostolic Church. Such a gift we have. Blessings to you!

    The same thing happened to me, sort of. My family is from Thailand, oddly enough, and I was raised Buddhist but at some point I realized I was Christian. I just didn't know which denomination. But like you I live in America and I got a lot of Protestant influence. I was actually really anti-Catholic starting out, but the more I researched the more I realized that it is the one true faith. I went through RCIA snd I got baptized this year.

      Bejdza Jesus is the Mediator of humanity(way of Salvation, Immaculate Lamb, the Perfect Sacrifice) and just he... But intercession all the persons are intercessors... Example: How many times do you asked for a pray to some person? What is this? Intercession...
      Why God like this? Jesus could all alone? YES, of Course but he like use the persons that are part of your body like used Peter, and another apostles to heal etc...
      Jesus too they could became/incarnate Man without was born of a Woman? Yes. he could born like Adam of the ground? Yes but he liked use Mary like your mother... And she was gracefull by God, and in the Bible say "very generations call me blessed" , in Saint Luke 1:41-43
      41.And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the HOLY GHOST:
      42.And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
      43. And whence is this to me, that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?
      Or Revelation 12, Virgin Mary is described clothed with Sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars, Why is Mary Mother of Jesus and not other common evangelical definitions like just Israel or the Church?
      Because if you read the rest of Chapter, you know that woman is Mother of the Who was to rule all nations of a rod of iron(Jesus), and in Rv 12:17, is mentioned that the dragon/devil not achieving destroit the Woman neither the her Children, the dragon make war to remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ...
      And in this sentence the Bible called all Christians sons of Mary, or remmanecents of her seed...

      You are going to Hell buddy. You can convert to whatever but Jesus said you must be born again. That baptism is not of the flesh but a change of heart and mind towards God to follow the teachings of Jesus. You have done neither since you were born on this earth.. Neither does the Bible command you to hail and glorify Mary. She will stand there on that day and condemn you to hell with tears if you don't repent man.

    Welcome home sister, I've always been Catholic! And whole family is protestant! My parents my sister and I are Catholic and they're always telling us that we're a wrong church, but what I see is that all my family are in differente churches such as pentecostals, apostles and prophets, church of Christ, the light of the world, etc. But I see that those churches have different doctrines, while the biblie says that there's only one church, one doctrine and one Gospel. Also we have to see the history of the church and the Catholic church is the only church that have existed since Jesus Christ founded in the year 33 in Israel, Matthew 16:18. Romans 16:17 says that there will be doctrines that would welcome you with hugs, they will talk to you with happiness, they would talk about Jesus, but they are deceiving their own spirit! So, Catholic church is the only Christian church, and nothing and nobody will destroy it!

      @@Heavenly.Ministries oh really, what is an image for you? Cuz you say that we adore images, and most of the protestant believe that we are idolaters, just because we bow down to these sculptures??? Why are there so many ignorant people like you'll! You know that everything around us are images, right! If you don't trust, you can search for it in the dictionary! So, your own logic makes you ignorant, you are an image, animals are images, things are images, sculptures are images, etc, etc. If you bow down in front of your bed, ARE YOU ADORING YOU BED?????? Don't confuse image with pictures, or SCULPTURES, the bible prohibits IDOLS or fake gods that think that those have power, I have never seen a Catholic who says that an image is God! Images just represent the person who lived in the past, and it's just to remind us. Just protestans think that images are gods!

      Unfortunately the RCC is also a "protestant church". It too broke away from the ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC & APOSTOLIC CHURCH in 1054. You didn't know that did ya? The Holy Orthodox Church ALONE preserved the original Faith of Jesus Christ without the papal addons which came mostly during the last 700 years. Go & study church history.

    • @beautifulspirit7420
      @beautifulspirit7420 3 года назад +1

      @@nuns8126 if you are referring to Orthodoxy, Orthodoxy and Catholicism are very close in dogma and practice, we both believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist for example, the center of the Liturgy for both, sacred scripture and Apostolic succession. They were both part of the Great Church, the two lungs of the Church, East and West, of the first 1,000 years of Christianity. However, Orthodoxy is not unified which is what Christ prayed for "that they all be One". In my area there are Orthodox Churches which are Greek, Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Serbian and Ethiopian. I have Orthodox friends and none of them ever attend liturgies in other Orthodox communities and some they consider illegitimate and don't accept they are Orthodox. The Orthodox churches have become strongly linked to certain nations, languages and cultures. For a Catholic we can attend 50+ Catholic churches in our area alone and Catholic churches in every country of the world and we all belong to one community and one Church. We love our Orthodox sisters and brothers and hope that God in his grace can reunite us all again.

    Congratulations on your tough decision! As a former protestant who became Catholic two years ago, I frequently come across objections from friends family and coworkers. I would recommend if you haven’t already, to look into Tim Staples, Steve Ray, and Scott Hahn’s videos and books, especially Steve Ray. They happen to all be protestant converts to Catholicism who had to wrestle with issues intellectually before they could take the plunge. Another thing that has helped me as far as learning about the faith and how to argue objections to it would be the program Catholic Answers, Which has tons of videos that you can watch on RUclips.
