I just recently began to realized why Catholics love Mother Mary so much. For the longest time I rejected her and didn’t think she needed any more attention because it took away from attention toward Jesus but lately I’ve just somehow developed a new appreciation for her and almost like developed a relationship with her and it has brought me even closer to Jesus and I understand it so much now. I like the verse in John that you pointed out. I had never thought about it that much or looked deeper into that particular verse! I just started RCIA at my local church and I’m so excited to keep going! Thank you for your videos! God bless!
So happy for you Emily! It's so wonderful and comforting knowing we have the perfect Father and the perfect Mother❤️ The song Ave Maria has always brought me to tears and I never could get my head around it. She is waiting for all of us to love her as Jesus loved her. Her love for us is the most perfect love a Mom could have for a child. God bless you on your RCIA❤️
You should check out the channel called "adwmuk" (A Day With Mary UK). It is my favorite channel. I think you will appreciate it. The homilies and sermons given are just beautiful ☺
I found your videos just a couple of days ago. I admire you, my brother. I converted to Catholicism 5 months ago. It was a painful process with a happy ending. I have no regrets. I love the Catholic Church, the only place where I can find the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Greetings from Peru. May God keep blessing your life.
Thank you so much!! Welcome home. You will receive so much grace. What we gain is so much more than what we lost. I also agree about the Latin Mass. it’s amazing.
Bienvenido a casa mi hermano. Te recomiendo los videos del Padre Luis Toro y de Fernando Casanova. Muy buenos. You should also start making testimonial videos and sharing. God Bless.
Coming out of Protestantism myself the evangelical kind. I admit I didn't feel any peace at my protestant church but been going to Catholic mass a couple times and feel peace. Please pray for me.
Praying for you Michael!!! RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) starts at this time of year at Catholic Churches all over the world. It is usually a weekly class that teaches folks the Traditions of the Church! Your timing couldn't be better!! Try it out! You won't be sorry!!! God Bless You!!!!!!!!
Peace is mentioned all through the mass! "The mass is ended go in peace to love as and serve the Lord. Let us offer each other a sign of peace. Peace be with you and with your spirit. May the peace of the Lord be with you always. Peace on earth to men of good will. And in the end of our lives...requiescat in pace(may they rest in peace). Peace is a theme in catholicism. @@KeithNester Beautiful dipiction of MOTHER MARY. Great is ur reward my Brother for trying to make her known what she is to world. Those who are in light n truth cannot be calm with regard to the truth.
All of the disciples of Jesus ran away from Him during His Passion, but there was one disciple that didn’t abandon Him - the disciple John. But in this scene John was not alone in that journey, in fact he could have not done it by himself being present at the foot of the cross. He was with our Blessed Mother. If you look at the accounts in the garden, when all the disciples ran away, John too ran away, but he went straight to the Blessed Mother. and because of her, he was able to see Jesus and stayed close to him in His passion, all the way to the crucifixion. Why? Because he stayed close to our Blessed Mother! The other disciples ran away - they all went on their way, but John. There were two people that took Mary into their own home. First was of course Saint Joseph, the other was Saint John. But notice in the first scene, the Angel told Joseph not to be afraid to take Mary into his own home. Likewise with John, where he took Mary into his own home. If the Angel told Saint Joseph “not to be afraid” to take Mary into his own home, then why couldn’t we do the same????? If Jesus, the 2nd Person of the Blessed Trinity, submitted Himself to the care of Mary, completely dependent on Her for 9 months in her womb, and then for the next 30 years became obedient to her, why can’t we? Our Blessed Lord is the epitome of that humility.... and we are only imitating Jesus as Saint Louis De Montfort said in his book True Devotion to Mary.
NO WHERE IN GOD'S WORD TO MANKIND DOES IT TELL US TO WORSHIP MARY, IT MENTIONS ONLY TO HONOR HER. NOT TO WORSHIP. RATHER, MARY SAYS IN THE BIBLE TO FOLLOW CHRIST!!!, NOT HER.
@@whoelseeverdiedforyou1737 good, we Catholics believe the same and do the same. We have never worshipped Mary, we honor her, and we have always followed Christ
Im crying while watching this video. I felt guilt when I left catholic church. But im going back its been a week that the grace of the LORD sharing his wisdom pierce thru my heart. Forgive me, my catholic brethren. May the Almighty God in heaven forgive me for the decision i had before. But now, im going back to home. ❤️🙏
I pray the rosary everyday but like everyone who is a former Protestant, there are still lingering these doubts we carry from Protestantism. We have to forget those lies we heard for years.
Close your eyes and think u recite the hail Mary to your mother....She loves that prayer because that’s the first time she heard about Him (Jesus).... see how it goes...
Since protestant has that tinge of sola scriptura, use that while praying the rosary, contemplate and meditate on the given mystery while praying the beads. All images of the scripture will come to live.
you can remain protestant . But honor Mary. because JESUS like when we honor his "chosen one" . Just like we honor a pastor, priest, but even more for her mother, she has suffered alot during the live of JESUS, people was mocking JESUS saying he is a son of carpenter denied that he is the Messiah, same with her mother. There is some books revealing the details of the HOLY FAMILY. Look it up. But also remember as human , we will never know the full "thruth" even PAUL said "when once prophetise once prophetise partially".
I was a cradle catholic & left the Catholic church for Protestantism and became a lukewarm “protestant” for about 8 years. Last year I felt the rug of my faith being tugged out from under me, and i began to fear that I was losing faith in Jesus. I was scared. I cried to God for help. He in turn led me to the blessed Mother, who began to stir in me such love and compassion and peace and in doing so led me to her Son, and now i feel such a deep assurance in who my Lord is that i’ve never felt before especially not in Protestantism. With little desires here and there to pray the Rosary, i am now fully committed to return in home to the One True Church, and i am leaving Protestantism. I’m not gonna lie i’m sad, i love the church i’m apart of right now especially the people. But they don’t have the Real Presence. I crave the Real Presence. I love you Jesus, Mary, and all the angels and saints who have paved the way for us Catholics returning home at last. God bless you all.
Precious brother in Christ, thank you for your boldness, and your willingness to post these videos. I have heard your testimony on how you became a Catholic, and you have inspired me in my own journey. I began RCIA a little over a month ago. I came to the exact same conclusions as you did with regard to becoming a Catholic, and the Catholic Church was the absolute last place I wanted to be. I got so angry at my best friend for consistently pointing me to the Catholic Church, but when I realized that he was right after listening to people like Steve Ray, Scott Hahn, and Tim Staples, I felt so badly, and became really emotional about it. I have been a Protestant worship leader for a few years now, and I am just coming out of that position, all for the sake of Christ, and the blessed virgin Mary. I say all this to say that I stand with you, I love you in the Lord, and I will be praying for you. God bless you, brother!
Welcome home, the words of Christ tipped me over into the Faith “that they be one”. Jesus loves us, and wants us to be in His One body, His One Church. Who am i to refuse His prayer?

This video about our Blessed Mother is one of the best you've made. I'm a cradle catholic, daily church attendee, and listening to your comments makes me understand our faith so much better. May God continue to bless you and your family. My prayers are with you.
Thank you so much. I had another video in mind and decided to make this one today at the last moment. Your encouragement is a confirmation that this was a good move. God bless you!!
When you made this video I was agnostic. But in the summer of 2020 (when I was 41 years old) a close friend friend from high school took his life. I hadn’t seen him in maybe 18 years, but it broke my heart. It was, in short, absolutely devastating. After a few weeks of immense hurt, I literally woke-up one morning, and Mary was just “there”, in my mind. I had no visions of her, no verbal messages... but she was just there, every moment, for months. I am a mother and my two little boys at the time were 4 and 1 - I started to “feel” everything from Jesus’ life from Mary’s perspective. My heart just kept breaking and hurting for her. Every day I cried. I eventually met with a Deacon at our local Catholic Church, he assured me that “everything Mary does is to bring you to her son”. My sons were Baptized a month after this all started and I signed up for RCIA. About three months after Mary came to me (converted me!), I woke up one morning (again, it was this suddenly) - and Our Blessed Mother has succeeded to bring me to the feet of her son on the cross. I love our Blessed Mother so much - without her I don’t know if I ever would have given my life to Jesus. And Jesus has changed me in just about every way. The Archangel Gabriel said it: “Hail, full of grace”.
❤May your friend find true rest. Your story is so touching and yes Mother Marie has and will always point to Jesus, she knows nothing else. May she pray for us that we get to know him like she did.
@@estelita9486 Thank you - today actually marks the third anniversary of his devastating decision to end his own life. His name is Eric - please keep him in your prayers.
Tim Staples tells the story about how he made a rude remark to a Catholic about Mary and the guy wanted to fight him. Tim Staples was shocked. But he admitted later that at that moment he knew he had to be Roman Catholic.
There's also a story about St Ignatius who when he was a young man considered killing a man who said he didn't believe in Mary's perpetual virginity lol. He didn't do it thank God, and I guess I shouldn't laugh, but sometimes things can get heated. www.thecatholicthing.org/2016/03/16/ignatius-and-the-moor/
Here's another story. Almost the same situation. This time this rude guy was saying this to an Irish. The Irish told if he say one morning he will defend the honor of his Heavenly Mother. The bad guy was so taken by his reaction that he began to read about Catholics and the Blessed Mother, he became Catholic, became a priest and later on became a bishop in one of the diocese here in America. I just forgot where but I will try to find it and get back to you. Sept. 15, 2019 Feast Day of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, today's Holy Mass. Remember The Divine Humanity of Our Lord came from the Blessed Mother. Reason why we call her Co-Redemptrix.
Recently, a Protestant who is planning to become Catholic said that he had "no feelings" for Mary and asked if this was a barrier to his becoming Catholic. I told him what I'd heard another person advise someone. Pray: "Dear Jesus, I know that you love your mother Mary more than any son has ever loved his mother. Please teach me about Mary so that, if it is Your will, I may love her as You do. Amen." I think anyone who wants to develop more understanding of Mary can pray this pray and achieve progress in their faith.

Thank you so much for your videos. They’ve been such a blessing. My husband and I became Catholic a little over 2 years ago after 4 decades of Protestantism, along with our children. We marvel every single day at the blessings God has given us to call us Home to His church. We also heard all the objections, all the lies our whole lives, and believed them for far too long, from several different denominations and “movements” of churches. We’ve both said that if we had really known what the Catholic Church actually does and does not teach, we would have become Catholic long ago.

A mother who loves her children will always put her children first. The Mother of God, our Lady loves Jesus so much. She always points us to Jesus, not to herself.
Does your great great grandmother love you? No she doesn't know who you are! She is dead just like Mary. Unless you are imposing Mary has Godly powers to hear you from her grave. Next thing you going to tell us Superman is real.
@@tknciliba4743the same way God gives Satan permission to tempt us and know all our weaknesses, God gives Mary and the saints in heaven permission to hear our prayers and pray for us just like we pray for each other. Mary and the saints are only dead in the flesh, there spirits are more alive than we are in Heaven. Luke 20:36 “Indeed they cannot die anymore, because they are like angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection. 37 And the fact that the dead are raised Moses himself showed, in the story about the bush, where he speaks of the Lord as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.”
God Bless you Keith!! What beautiful truths you have shared with the world. I used to have a prideful intellectual objection to belief in the Immaculate Conception of Mary. That is until I prayed for our Blessed Mother's intercession for a job, a place to live and a reasonably priced car, three immediate needs I was fairly desperate for at one point in my life. I had not prayed the rosary in years, but I picked up those beads. All three needs were fulfilled within a week of each other, and all within a week of the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Pow! My intellectual objection vanished, my trust in her intercession became profound and my relationship with her has continued to grow throughouit my life, and she has continued to request of her Son and provide miracle after miracle for me and my family. She is indeed our mother as well and brings us to her Son. I cannot encourage my Christian brothers and sisters enough to trust in her intercession and develop a relationship with her as she will increase your relationship with God Himself. Remember, if it were not for Mary's YES to God to be His human cooperator, there would be no Incarnation. No Mary, no Jesus. This is why we respect Mary so highly. Finally, Mary continues to draw the world to her Son through her appearances throughout the ages. She is the Matriarch of her son's church, protecting it, preserving its truths and keeping it on the path to the New Jerusalem. It is because of her that the powers of the netherworld will not prevail against it. She is the new Eve whose foot crushes the head of the serpent. Amen!
Began my RCIA journey last week. I was never a protestant protestant. Although I certainly knew a lot of protestants 'on fire' about being one. Mine has always been a quiet faith maybe a little more open to suggestion. I've had a few opportunities to become Catholic in my life and now toward the end of it have decided to act. Nobody in my family is Catholic nor is my wife so it may be a bumpy ride.
One thing that gets me everytime i see an exprotestant brother or sister is your passion about GOD and JESUS. But when you understand our love for Mary you speak so beatiful about her, i love your videos and the way you explain your thinking. God bless you and your family.
My protestant friend made me a better Catholic. I love my protestant brethren. I admire their dedication and the love they have for our Lord Jesus Christ. The ones who have come back to the Catholic Church has truly enriched us. What a blessing they have been to our faith. Its when my friend challenged me about final perseverance, I finally understood the 2nd part of Hail Mary and our request made to her to pray for us now and at the hour of death. I am sure glad to know she will be praying for me,to make sure I persevere to the end. Thank you Jesus for giving us your Mother to help us now and at the hour of death Amen.
I’m a lifelong Catholic, who has gone through more than one transformative experience. As such, I call myself a lifelong convert. I had trouble with Marian doctrine for years, but I kept on praying, asking for her assistance. Early last year I dug deeply into the scriptures, and what God intended her role to be. I fell in love with Our Lady! The closer I get to her, the closer she brings me to her Son. The closer I get to Him, the more deeply I love the Blessed Virgin! It’s symbiotic, not exclusionary! She’s absolutely beautiful, because the Lord filled her with grace, from when she was conceived. She, the New Eve, held Jesus in her womb, and in her arms, so that we could hold Him in our hearts!
You say you dug into scripture. What did you find concerning Mary? As a Christian & I use that term as I am not a catholic nor a protestant. The Christian believers were way before the Reformation & the beginning of the RCC. RCC history likes to leave the part out where the diciples had went out into the world spreading the gospel & new churches began. Our history & all of our belief is directly from the Apostles no "other writings". If there were other writing GOD would have breathed that into HIS Word to us so we could confirm that. Many catholic converts claim they were raised protestant before they converted. Raised not read. Traditions change from year to year or grow & morph. Human behavior is to follow other humans and so tradition feels right. So called church fathers have developed many traditions but picking & choosing which was right & which was wrong is where trouble starts. The RCC has developed many many traditions over it's history, a history that I find evil from its start up to today. What was the true foundation of adding Mary into your worship? I know, y'all claim you don't worship her and have learned to debate that. Why was it not practiced, included or discussed in GOD's Word? Well, right here you must revert to RCC teaching rather than GOD's teaching and refer to me as an evangelical because I read, study & believe "soley" on the Word of God. You as a worshipper of the RCC which you claim is GOD'S only church, the church Christ built on Peter. We know this cannot be true because Jesus built his church on that confession of Jesus Christ in Matthew 16 not into the RCC. The RCC had many sexual immoral Pope's, the very same ones that were the vicar of Christ & spike for GOD who created doctrines & rituals. The very same men who sent out armies to massacre millions of true believers thru out the world. Those very same ones that came to Christ by the diciples that went out into the world. Their crimes were the original PROTEST against the Pope that started when Emperor Constantine made the new religion's Pope the Roman Christian Emperor. All thru history right up to today there has been nothing but evil coming out of this Roman pile of evil. The celibacy of clergy that has always been responsible for homosexuality, pedifilia that still goes on but is kept covered up. Your pope today. NOW, you claim this is GOD's and Jesus Christ built it on Peter of whom can not even be traced to Rome. I would submitt with all praying as a full tolerating member in agreement with this evil that you hear another spirit. To bring in Mary and make the claims you do is to take away from the GOD HEAD. I've been around the world and seen the worship of Mary that y'all down play, the mediation in your prayers because Mary is a woman, a mother & praying to her as mediator feels more right & comfortable. You may not see the intensity of worship to her & her statues in this country as others but it is there. Us so called "protestants" that were here before the RCC have the Word that is true & alive. Marianism is not in it & we believe Mary was as much flesh as you and I so that Jesus Christ would have that attribute. I know she was greatly humbled as so many prophets, apostles & saints were, key word: WERE.
Beautiful testimony. However, I wouldn't say the teachings about Our Lady are not in the Bible. It is more like they are 'hidden'. Everything is there, but not explicitly. It is as if God reserved some Truths to only be discernible by a few. Those truly inspired by the Spirit. This is why Tradition is so important. Because it represents a corpus of inspired interpretation of Scripture.
Yes! In the apocalypse says that The woman who gave birth to the one who is going to rule, is also the mother of those who obey God. It is very clear that she is the mother of all Christians, even the mother of our separated brothers and sisters!
Thank you Keith. God bless you. These types of videos are easy to share with protestants who don't yet believe, because it's a more down to earth, simple explanation. I love these. Keep up the good work.

@@joemen3332 The thing many people fail to realize, both Catholics and Protestants, is that the Bible IS tradition. If they want to reject the tradition of the Church you also have to reject the Bible created by that tradition. Most Protestants actually do this. They ask for verses of what the Bible "says" as proof of doctrine but conveniently fail to see what the Bible "shows", a Church not only citing the Old Testament, but acting on its own authority and creating the New Testament.
@@luisaymerich9675 Contesting Catholic doctrine is like someone in the process of sawing off the branch on which he's sitting. Furthermore, there is often an answer in Scripture, sometimes it's even so obvious yet it somehow goes unnoticed (In a loud voice (Elizabeth) exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?). The "mother of my Lord" should be pretty clear as to why Mary deserves the "reputation" she holds in Catholic tradition.

Hi Keith, I, too, converted to Catholicism this past April 2019 after being a protestant for 15+ years. Mary was a big obstacle for me as well until I started doing my research and reading the bible in its historical context - which is SO important because if we look at scripture through the lens of that time, we will understand that back in that time, the queens of the kingdoms were not the wives of the kings, the queens were the mothers of the kings. Jesus is the King of Kings - which makes Mary our blessed Mother and - yes- our Heavenly Queen 🤗❤ Also, in that time, when the husband died, the responsibility to care for the mother would be passed onto the oldest son. If the oldest son died, the responsibility would then pass on to the 2nd oldest son and so on. It would have been unheard of and even a disgrace to give one's own mother away to someone else if she had another son who could care for her. At the time of Jesus' death, St. Joseph had already passed, and since our blessed Mother had no other children, Jesus tells us all "Behold your mother." Jesus didn't say "John" he said "to the disciple he loved." Jesus loves all of his disciples. Therefore, who should look upon Mary as his mother? All of us who are beloved disciples of Christ. Keep up the great work, Keith! Praying for you!
Hi, So I don't agree with you, but I'm intrigued as you mentioned the 'historical context' can you share with me what you meant by that share what books you use. Give quotes etc. Much appreciated. XX Have a blessed day.
THANK YOU FOR THE POWERFUL STORY YOU SHARED ABOUT QUEENS... PLEASE CAN YOU GIVE ME DIRECTION TO MAKE A STUDY ON THAT.. THIS IS A NEW REVELATION TO ME... GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY
In the monarchy of King David, as well as in other ancient kingdoms of the Near East, the mother of the ruling king held an important office in the royal court and played a key part in the process of dynastic succession. In fact, the king’s mother ruled as queen, not his wife. The great pre-eminence of the king’s mother may seem odd from our modern Western perspective, in which we think of a queen as being the wife of a king. However, recall that most ancient Near-Eastern kings practiced polygamy. King Solomon had seven hundred wives (1 Kgs. 11:3)-imagine the chaos in the royal court if all seven hundred were awarded the queenship! But since each king had only one mother, one can see the practical wisdom in bestowing the queenship upon her. A number of Old Testament passages reflect the important role of the queen mother in the Davidic kingdom. For example, almost every time the narrative of 1 and 2 Kings introduces a new monarch in Judah, it mentions the king’s mother as well, showing the mother’s intimate involvement in her royal son’s reign. Similarly, the queen mother is listed among the members of the royal court whom king Jehoiachin surrendered to the king of Babylon in 2 Kings 24:12. Her royal office is also described by the prophet Jeremiah, who tells how the queen mother possessed a throne and a crown, symbolic of her position of authority in the kingdom: "Say to the king and the queen mother: ‘Take a lowly seat, for your beautiful crown has come down from your head. . . . Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?’” (Jer. 13:18, 20). It is significant that God directed this oracle about the upcoming fall of Judah to both the king and his mother. Addressing both king and queen mother, Jeremiah portrays her as sharing in her son’s rule over the kingdom. Probably the clearest example of the queen mother’s role is that of Bathsheba, wife of David and mother of Solomon. Scholars have noted the excellence of Bathsheba’s position in the kingdom once she became queen mother during Solomon’s rule. Compare the humble attitude of Bathsheba as spouse of King David (1 Kgs. 1:16-17, 31) with her majestic dignity as mother of the next king, Solomon (1 Kgs. 2:19-20). As spouse of the king, Bathsheba bows with her face to the ground and does obeisance to her husband, David, upon entering his royal chamber. In striking contrast, after her son Solomon assumed the throne and she became queen mother, Bathsheba receives a glorious reception upon meeting with her royal son: So Bathsheba went to King Solomon, to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. And the king rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; then he sat on his throne and had a seat brought for the king’s mother; and she sat on his right. Then she said, ‘I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.’ And the king said to her, ‘Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you’” (1 Kgs. 2:19-20). This account reveals the sovereign prerogatives of the queen mother. Note how the king rises and bows as she enters. Bathsheba’s seat at the king’s right hand has the greatest significance. In the Bible, the right hand is the place of ultimate honor. This is seen in particular in the messianic Psalm 110 (“Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool”). In fact, many New Testament passages refer to the right-hand imagery of Psalm 110 to show Christ’s divinity and his reign with the Father over the whole universe (e.g., Hebrews 1:13). Thus, the queen mother sitting at the king’s right hand symbolizes her sharing in the king’s royal authority and illustrates how she holds the most important position in the kingdom, second only to the king, etc.
Continued.... This passage regarding Bathsheba also shows how the queen mother served as an advocate for the people, carrying petitions to the king. In 1 Kings 2:17, Adonijah asks Bathsheba to take a petition for him to King Solomon. He says to her: “Pray ask King Solomon-he will not refuse you-to give me Abishag the Shunammite as my wife” (1 Kgs. 2:17). It is clear that Adonijah recognizes the queen mother’s position of influence over the king, so he confidently turns to Bathsheba as an intercessor for his request. A few Old Testament prophecies incorporate the queen mother tradition when telling of the future Messiah. One example is Isaiah 7:14, which originated during a time of dynastic crisis in Judah when Syria and Israel were threatening Jerusalem and plotting to overthrow King Ahaz. God offers Ahaz a sign that the kingdom will continue: “Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel” (Isa. 7:13-14). On one level, this passage points to the next king (Hezekiah) as a pledge that the Davidic dynasty will continue despite the threats of invading armies. At the same time, the royal son who is to be named “Emmanuel” points to the future messianic king (cf., Isa. 9:6-7, 11:1-2). This is why the New Testament says Jesus fulfills this prophecy from Isaiah (Matt. 1:23). For our purposes we should note how this prophecy links the mother to her royal son. Since the oracle is addressed specifically to the Davidic household and concerns the continuation of the dynasty, the young woman bearing forth the royal son would be understood as a queen mother. This has implications for our understanding of Mary. Since the mother of the king always ruled as queen mother, we should expect to find the mother of the messianic king playing the role of the true queen mother in the everlasting Kingdom of God. With this Old Testament background, we can now more clearly see how the New Testament portrays Mary in light of the queen mother tradition. The Gospel of Matthew has often been called the “Gospel of the Kingdom.” Matthew emphasizes that Jesus is “the Son of David,” who is the true King of the Jews establishing the “Kingdom of Kingdom of Heaven.” With all this kingly imagery, it should not be surprising to find queen mother themes as well. Right away, Matthew shows explicitly how the infant Jesus is the “Emmanuel” child as prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 (Matt. 1:23). As we saw above, this prophecy links the royal messianic child with his queen mother. Further, Matthew singles out the intimate relationship between the mother and her royal son by using the phrase “the child and his mother” five times in the first two chapters, recalling the close association between queen mother and royal son as described in the Books of Kings. Just as the queen mother was constantly mentioned alongside the Judean kings in 1 and 2 Kings, so Mary is frequently mentioned alongside her royal son, Jesus, in Matthew’s infancy narrative (Matt. 1:18; 2:11, 13, 14, 20, 21). We find Mary portrayed against the background of Davidic kingdom motifs in Luke’s Gospel as well, especially in his accounts of the Annunciation and Visitation. First, the angel Gabriel is said to appear to a virgin betrothed to a man “of the house of David” (1:27). Then the angel tells Mary, “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called Son of the most high.
Continued...part 3. and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there will be no end” (Luke 1:31-33). Hear the strong Davidic overtones describing Mary and her royal son: a woman from the house of David giving birth to a son who will be the new king whose reign will never end. With echoes from the queen mother tradition of the Davidic kingdom and the mother-son prophecy of Isaiah 7:14, we can conclude that Mary is being given the vocation of queen mother. Mary’s royal office is made even more explicit in Luke’s account of the Visitation. Elizabeth greets Mary with the title “the mother of my Lord” (Luke 1:43). This title is charged with great queenly significance. In the royal court language of the ancient NearEast, the title “Mother of my Lord” was used to address the queen mother of the reigning king (who himself was addressed as “my Lord”; cf., 2 Sam. 24:21). Thus with this title Elizabeth is recognizing the great dignity of Mary’s role as the royal mother of the king, Jesus. Finally, Mary’s queenship can be seen in the great vision described in Revelation 12: “And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she was with child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anguish for delivery” (Rev. 12:1-2). Who is this newborn child? He is described as the messianic king exercising his dominion. In verse 5, the author of Revelation chose the messianic Psalm 2 to describe how this child will “rule all the nations with a rod of iron” (Rev. 12:5, Ps. 2:9). This royal son is taken up to heaven to sit on a throne (Rev. 12:5), and he ushers in the kingdom of God by defeating the devil: “Now the kingdom of our God has come, for the accuser has been throne down” (12:10). Certainly, this newborn child is the royal Messiah, King Jesus. In this light it is clear who this woman is who gave birth to the messiah: It is Mary. Some people have interpreted this woman in Revelation 12 as merely a symbol either for the Old Testament people of Israel or for the New Testament Church and therefore have concluded that the woman cannot be an individual (i.e., Mary). However, this “either-or” proposition is foreign to the biblical worldview, in which individuals often symbolically represent collective groups. For instance, Adam represented all humanity (Rom. 5:19), and Jacob stood for all of Israel (Ps. 44:4). Given this biblical notion called “corporate personality,” the woman in Revelation 12 should be understood as both an individual (Mary) and a symbol for the people of God. But for our purposes, once we see that this woman is Mary, the mother of Jesus, it is important to note how she is portrayed as queen in this passage. Her royal office is hinted at by the imagery of the sun, moon, and twelve stars, which recalls the Old Testament story of Joseph’s dream in which the sun, moon, and stars bow down before him, symbolizing his future authority (Gen. 37:9-11). Her queenship is made even clearer by the crown of twelve stars on her head. Just like the queen mother in Jeremiah 13:18, here Mary is wearing a crown, symbolizing her royal office in the kingdom of heaven. In sum, Revelation 12 portrays Mary as the new queen mother in the Kingdom of God, sharing in her son’s rule over the universe. We have seen how the Old Testament queen mother tradition serves as an important background for understanding Mary’s royal office. Indeed, the New Testament portrays Mary as the queen mother par excellence. Thus, prayers, hymns, and art giving honor to Mary’s queenship are most fitting biblical responses for Christians. In honoring her as queen mother we do not take anything away from Christ’s glory, but rather we exalt him even more by recognizing the great work he has done in her and through her. Understanding Mary as queen mother sheds light on her important intercessory role in the Christian life. Just like the queen mother of the Davidic kingdom, Mary serves as advocate for the people in the Kingdom of God today. Thus, we should approach our queen mother with confidence, knowing that she carries our petitions to her royal son and that he responds to her as Solomon did to Bathsheba: “I will never refuse you.”
The Blessed Mother was a big prt of my first believing the Church’s teachings to be true. First learning she is the new Eve, a thought that never occurred to me, but once presented, was so natural and necessary it made me wonder how I had never yhought of it before. I then began to learn all I could, and the more I learned, the more sure I was of how good and right it was to have a Mother in her. Praying the Rosary daily transformed my life so very much, erasing all fear of demons and drawinf me closer to closer to Jesus, through His Mother. How awesome and mighty is our God, to do so much through so humble a person.
Much if it IS also in Scripture, but as he says, not explicitly. I recommend. Conversion video of Dr Scott Hahn (Worh purplish background) . He describes this as well as the Mass. Book of Revelation is interpreted differently by Catholicism, and as KN says, early Chirch fathers tell us that the Church today is the SAME FULL FAOTH as back in days of Christ and Apostles.
Thank you, Keith, for showing me the way to share my faith, and to answer questions that I was posed long ago. Growing up Catholic, I supposed that everyone who was Christian knew of and believed in the saints and understood the role of the Virgin Mary, as both a loving nurturer and ardent soldier for Christ Jesus. Thank you for helping me form the thoughts and words that both explain and defend my faith!
Being a catholic, I had always admired the bible knowledge the protestants possessed. However, that admiration was balanced by my faith and love of Blessed Lady. Since I was blessed with her protection, I had always felt blessed being catholic, and never felt my lack of knowledge of the Bible. If anyone experiences her intercession and her love toward all, I bet, you won't ask where's that in the Bible! Trust me, she's the one who's continuously interceding for all human. We are all saved because of her prayers. But at the same time, she's not God. It's Jesus who does everything in the end. May the Immaculate Heart of Mary triumph. Amen.
If you attend Mass regularly, you know more of the Bible than you think. And you participate in the best part…the Paschal Mystery is the heart of every Mass throughout the world, throughout time, from the Apostles to now til the Second Coming.
Thank you so much for your effort in creating these videos and sharing your faith. Even though I’m a cradle Catholic, or maybe even because of it I am so encouraged by hearing from those who are seeing the Church from a fresh perspective. Steve Ray said once that new Catholics are the reinforcements for those of us who may have received this gift from birth but perhaps have not appreciated it as we should or feel alone or weary.
Great to hear your words Keith, as a new Catholic you know so much its great to hear your enthusiasm i'll pray for increased success for you and your mission in this special month of mission
Amen brother that was so beautiful, I to was a protestant believer for my whole life, & a anti-catholic on top of that. So Maryology was the hardest theology for me to see, & believe in. But that's the thing that are prots brothers, & sisters need to ask themselves, to start seeing, how & why we become Catholics when the Bible says X, Y, & Z... So hearing what you said that Jesus gives Mary to John to bring us closer to him, that Mary was given as a gift to the church is the most beautiful way to put it💯 The very 1st thing I've noticed when I first began to see Catholicism in the Bible, is that the scriptures go so much deeper than protestants realize. The cross goes 10x deeper than protestants interpret. The irony is how Prots love to say "Jesus said it is finished" on the cross, when they don't even realize what exactly is finished... Thank you Keith God bless you, & your family
Yes sir Keith, a deep biblical reflection of our Blessed Mama Mary strikes one's emotions. Just as we honor our own biological mothers who have carried us in their womb for many months, the pain they went through in bringing us to this world and the loving care they did for us as we learn to stand on our own two feet, our Blessed mother did the same for our Lord. She was still there at the foot of the Cross; grieving for the Son so loved. And we honor her so much coz of her role in the Body, as Mother of our Church, with Christ as the Head. God bless.
My grandmother introduced me to Mama Mary when I was around 10.Every month of May we do the rosary everyday with other kids in the small chapel until I was the one teaching kids to pray it.I dont understand things yet at those times but looking back now all I can say is that She brought me to love Jesus more,I learned to also make a diary dedicated to God telling Him about what my day was and how I feel.My life wasnt that easy nor too hard but those years looking back I was blessed with a good family despite financial struggles, opportunities coming to me without noticing it and with that I can say is she never really take away that right to our Lord.Growing up I forgot all about the rosary due to lifes constant pressures yet I always carry one with me wherever I go.It is like my protection and my guide. In this dark times of my life it came to my mind about the rosary,I carry it with me yet never say it for so many years nor write to the Lord like I use to before.I committed so many sins that it feels like He dont deserve a daughter like me anymore but He loves me and I know He only wants me to be the person He wants me to be.So now I wanted to start praying the rosary again hoping to change my life and follow His will.Anything impossible to us is possible to Him.
Im christian protestant that has been years struggle with demonic voices attacking me. My christian protestant mentor told me to pray, pray in tongues and pray entering to God's altar, watch alot of preacher. I try and try like her but the wall protection feels so thin. So most of the time the voices bombarded me, making me feels like giving up. I pray to Jesus ask Him what weapon should i use, cause if there is no greater weapon i can literally end my life in misery. So God bring me to the blessed Mary. I learn to pray rosary and it work. 98% of the voices is gone and im very peaceful and i have been praying the rosary everyday. I told my mentor with honesty what happened and she told me im far far gone from Gods road because im praying to the dead that is evil and wrong, its like i went to the wrong road. She told me to choose either christian protestan or catholic because i cant stand on 2 churches. I love my mentor she is a nice lady, i dont want to lose friendship. But at the same time, i dun want to give up on my praying rosary and i dun want to hide anything from her. Help what should i do.
I was raised pentecostal married a Catholic. He had been away from church for many years . I became a Catholic, and he came back to the church . Even growing up, I always wondered why the mother of Christ didn't get much attention in the church. Easter and Christmas, and that's about it . I really believe the precious mother pushed me towards the Catholic church because I feel at home now, and I never did in any church before . God picked Mary out of all the women in the world to bring his son into the world. And because of that, I love her . God bless Y'all ❤
Keith you have really inspired me with your video. I am grateful to you for posting these truths that you have experienced with out Blessed Mother. She is a gift from Jesus that we must accept and acknowledge. Catholics are blessed with these teachings and she will always be here for us in our spiritual journeys. Pray to her daily. Welcome home.
Bless you Keith , I struggled with Mary too...but feel so blessed in doing the Rosary or going to Adoration after Choral pratice (Music) I m a former Pentacostal from the 80 s but in the last 2 years i went to a huge Christian Conference...with a Baptist Minister was networking with Catholics and others were speaking about EVANGELISM : i heard one speaker that ``WE NEED TO LEARN FROM THE CATHOLICS BECAUSE THEY HAVE 1,500 YEARS EXPERIENCE THAN US....quite a few years later i became Catholic.....and went back to my former roots as a Catholic Christian.
Thank you for sharing your conversion journey, Keith. I am a cradle Catholic and taught RCIA classes for many years and have seen similar challenges. But through God's grace and Our Lady's intercession all things are possible. Praised be Jesus!
Mary is also the New Eve. The first Eve was tempted by Satan and failed. The New Eve, said yes, to God and kept faithful to God. You are right, Jesus gave His Mother Mary to us, as our Mother also. Keith, you also haverá blessed day. Carolyn M Scotti
They are a cult. Catholism mimic Christianity. God never sent a Pope and none of the NEW TESTAMENT or old says anything agreeing with Catholicism. Please do not fall for them. Jesus specifically taught against Catholic doctrine. It’s always THE CHURCH AS CATHOLICS. etc. they never said what Jesus said or taught NEVER YOU are being lied to. Get a KJV AND THE HOLY GHOST and run from these people. Mary can do nothing for your salvation Notice he says TEACHING about her. There are no teaching about A Mary. The focus is not on her.
@@TriciaPerry-mz7tcCatholicism is the original and true denomination of Christianity, and for you to say these things shows you know nothing about Catholicism and what Catholics believe. You have a lot of learning to do.
@@andyc816 Jesus wasn't Catholic. His disciples were believing Jews. if you wanted to worship the way the first century Church did you would go to a messianic Jewish congregation, that is definitely closest to the way the first century "Church" was.
To be fair the early church held services wherever they could. Houses were most common at least in rome. So to say they participated in messianic halls isnt actually correct. Maybe while Jesus was alive they went, like in the chosen, but oftentimes, it was kinda like the street preachers of today and in houses to eat/partake in the eucharist and celebrate. Before Nero the romans just thought it was odd and treated them like lesser citizens. But then well you know the rest. Hence the Book of Revelations @lisastrecker6052
@@lisastrecker6052 Lisa, Understand, Jesus founded just one Church on Peter. There's no other. Our Lord sent His one true Church on a universal or catholic mission in: Matthew 28:19 19. Therefore, go forth and teach "All Nations", baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Lisa, "All Nations" mission is universal; kataholos in Greek, Catholic in English. With the knowledge of fulfilling such important universal mission given by Jesus, the Greek name καθολικός or "Catholic" started to be used by the end of the first century to designate the ever growing Church founded by Christ. We see it in use through the letters of Ignatius the second Bishop of Antioch in Syria after St. Evodious had died a Martyr. During the journey, prior to his demise, Ignatius wrote seven letters of encouragement, instruction and inspiration to the Christians in seven communities. We still have these letters today, as a great treasure of the Catholic Church. Here's an excerpt of the one he wrote to the Catholic community at Smyrna in 107AD; 60 years after Peter and Paul's death in the infamous "Roman Circus": ▪︎Letter to the Church at Smyrna. Ch. 8 excerpt: "Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is The Catholic Church". God bless.
The devil wants you to believe that it's wrong to ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede for us and to help us because he's so scared of her. Some people in my family including myself experienced bad spiritual encounters in the past and let me tell you that if your Faith is strong just say her name and those demons will scream in pain and leave as fast as they can.
I decided to test that the other day, and after asking Jesus to allow me not to be led astray; I asked Mary's intercession. I was not delivered from the spiritual oppression, so I concluded that Jesus answered my prayer in that this was not a thing he desires of me. Your thoughts?
@@ryanalving3785 Remember, Mary is as human as you and I. She has been given much authority and grace to distribute. That said, she loves Jesus more than any of us. As a result, if Jesus says hold back, she holds back. Consider that by testing her, you are showing not a small bit of possible disrespect to the mother of Jesus, and as a result disrespect to Jesus himself. Your test is inconclusive at best and dangerous spiritually at worst. Ask Jesus to reveal the truth of His mother. Be open to what you hear.
@@ryanalving3785 I don't know the details of your religious background and personal life. I will answer with the best of my knowledge. First of all, It's not wrong at all to pray to the Virgin Mary. She's the Mother of God. She was born without sin. Jesus couldn't come into this world through a sinner because He is God Himself. Mary's intercession is very powerful. She's our queen, and the Bible teaches that our king, Jesus, won’t refuse her. If you need help your request will be more powerful if the Mother of God intercedes for you. But...your Faith in Her and God must be strong. If you have any doubts in your mind it might not work completely or might not work at all. And remember... there are numerous reasons why demons oppressed humans and why God will choose not to deliver someone from oppression even if you ask Mary to intercede for you or if you ask Him directly. God has a plan for everyone of us. It's through our sufferings that he reveals Himself to us when we totally submit to His Will. One last thing, it's impossible for me to deny Mary's powerful intercession because she helped me and my family so many times.
@@MaddieSchnitzel she's not more blessed than others. Do you have a church with your name? Do you have a prayer in your name? Mary shouldn't either. Nor any Saint. Pray only to God, worship only God.

This is my problem right now! Thank you for making this content! I had a protestant belief and coming back to the Catholic faith. Praise Jesus indeed! Thank you to our Mother in Heaven!
I discovered the truth and left the reformed church for Christ’s church. The Catholic Church. I found the Marian elements of the church were always a turn off for me until I gave it a try. I began the rosary and it completely transformed my life.
I recently started going back to Catholic church after being gone for 40 years. I bought myself a rosary. But still struggled with whether it was correct to use. But when you Brought up the scripture of when Jesus told John this is your mother mother this is your son. I think that has helped me out so much. I cannot thank you enough. I’ve been praying about what to do about this for weeks. Think I have my answer.
An excellent video, Pastor Keith! I'm writing an article about Mary and doing research into the Rosary and Catholic devotion to Mary, and all that, and frankly, your videos are much better than those put out by the lifelong Catholics, who seem to be stuck in their Catholic bubble, or too lost in their Catholic nerdiness, unable to see the forest for the trees. Your videos were very helpful and heartfelt. Keep up the good work!
I’ve been a lifelong Catholic with strong Marian devotion. I married into a super duper Protestant family that tries to tell me I’m practicing idolatry by praying the rosary. A few days ago I was praying to God to show me a Bible verse to back up my love for Mary. I immediately opened to John 19:26-27. I had a plaque made with this verse for my home. This video is SUCH a confirmation for me to help teach others to love Mary too!
The Blessed Virgin Mary is NOT an obstacle in becoming closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Instead our Blessed Virgin Mary helps us CLOSER to her Son Jesus.

I am a Catholic revert after being in Protestant churches for 35 years. I love the Eucharist and know that God's presence is real. However, I always struggle with the Mary issue. Thank you for sharing your struggles with them. I've read all that you talked about and still don't believe all the Mary doctrines. I will continue to pray and study why the church venerates her so strongly. In will trust that the Holy Spirit will inform and guide me. If you have any books to recommend on the subject of Mary i would be grateful. Thank you!
Behold your Mother by Tim Staples is a great book to read. Thank you for being so open Amy! I will pray a rosary for you. The Holy Spirit will guide you! Thanks for watching!

I prayed the protestant repentance prayer a few days ago, but recently have been thinking a lot about Catholicism, being a nondenominational and growing up being in and out of church I still found myself very distant from the protestants around me, I never quite understood it, I felt alienated from them in a way. Today I opened a conversation with a protestant friend about wanting to become a Catholic and she told me that it was wrong to pray to Mary as it was a sin to pray to dead people, and even during the conversation I kept feeling called to disagree and feeling Mary around me, so in search of a better answer I stumbled across this video and it's opened my eyes to how I feel and that I can feel this way proudly with the community around me without fear of being shunned for wanting to become a Catholic. Thank you so much for this video, Hail Mary!!
I am struggling with this. I wasn’t for a while. Then I started questioning again. We’re from a charismatic evangelical background and moved to Ireland. Leaving our church family back in the uk. Things happened and We really felt we should become catholic. then now I’m really not sure. I feel so torn. Thankyou for your videos.
Know that confusion and scattering is not from God and the enemy is always trying to separate you from the good of what God wants for you. God is about relationships, communion, covenants, love. Give the concerns and doubts to the Lord, and Mary if you are willing to try (not sure where on the journey you’re on) place it all in His hands and just trust that He will lead you. Once you give it to Him, that’s it, you must let go and trust. Always go back to trust and the Truth when doubt creeps in. Trust and know that God loves you, more than you can comprehend, and only wants what is best for you and He will Shepherd you if you will only let Him by full trust. Ask also that He fill your heart with His love for you. He’s always giving us graces, we have to clear ourselves enough by letting go and trusting Him so that His grace will flow through us. Then just “do whatever He tells you.” -Mary to the servants at the wedding at Cana! ❤All Mary wants is for you to have full union with her Son, our Lord and Savior of our lives! He is our end goal and this is only our journey to be with Him, face to face and in fully unity ( which is the fullness of Love since God is Love and only Love will remain) for eternity! So amazing actually!
Thank you, Keith! Your videos are very inspiring and helping me study deeper into my faith. Yes, the deepest desire of Mary is to bring us closer to her son, so there is really no reason for us to fear of falling into wrong road by loving Mary as our spiritual mother. By asking for her intercession, I found myself only closer to Jesus.
I pray that you will consider that very carefully. Please read the bible over and over. No need to identify as anything. Just have a relationship with Jesus until questions have been answered. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray. It's the Lord's prayer....directly to the Father 🙏
God bless you Keith, Welcome home to the TRUE church of God, I myself love our Blessed Mother, she will always lead you to her Son Jesus. She is so powerful, I'm a cradle Roman Catholic, but not without faults I quit going to mass as a young adult, so now I'm a revert. I never thought about converting to another affiliation, I just reached up to God's waiting hand & he said "I got you". What an awesome God. May He always guard, bless& keep you. I always love to see converts stories. I watch Journey Home on EWTN.
This video hit me hard made me a little teary eyed I never noticed how much Mother Mary means to the Christian World. We should honnor and respect her as our mother. Jesus is the King
I am a lifelong Catholic, and I am still trying to understand my relationship with the blessed mother. She brings me peace, but I want to know her, and I want her to know me. Hearing this from you helps me. Thank you.
I grew up Catholic but I myself didn't know why we prayed to Mary. When I was born again last month, I started going to an evangelical church and my views changed about Mary and the Saints. I thought it was idolatrous and even now, I'm overcoming that thought. So thank you so much for this, because I'm coming back to my Catholic faith. The evangelical church was fine, but the worship was not as satisfying as taking the Eucharist and the Mass. I prayed to God a lot if it's alright for me to pray to the saints and Mary. He told me to try and see, and I did, and I'm starting to pray the rosary everyday. I felt no conviction from the Holy Spirirt, and while I pray the rosary I realized mindset was important especially meditating on the Mysteries.
As a former baptist who is now orthodox and catholic .. i go to mass in both :)... i can't thank you enough for your chanel . I have gone from a Christian obsessed with memorizing bible verses and trying to analyse every verse like im going to be tested or something.. to living the bible. Somehow through the Eucharist, i no longer have to put so much effort to feel love for others and to accept everyone . Forgiveness is so much easier now. Ego is so much less . My journey is long but i can honestly say that I'm finally walking in Yeshua's Road and not my Own.
Followers of Christ were known as Christian and Catholic in the first century. Some thing I learnt recently, the Eastern Roman Empire never called itself Byzantium or themselves Byzantines, so now, nor will I.

I agree that Mary is the mother of Jesus - the Son of God - but how can she be the mother of God because God existed before Mary did.
@@marybarbara56
She is the Daughter of The Father, Mother of the the Son, and wife of the Holy Spirit.
***AMEN TO THAT***
NO WHERE IN GOD'S WORD TO MANKIND DOES IT TELL US TO WORSHIP MARY, IT MENTIONS ONLY TO HONOR HER. NOT TO WORSHIP. RATHER, MARY SAYS IN THE BIBLE TO FOLLOW CHRIST!!!, NOT HER.

I was a cradle catholic & left the Catholic church for Protestantism and became a lukewarm “protestant” for about 8 years. Last year I felt the rug of my faith being tugged out from under me, and i began to fear that I was losing faith in Jesus. I was scared. I cried to God for help. He in turn led me to the blessed Mother, who began to stir in me such love and compassion and peace and in doing so led me to her Son, and now i feel such a deep assurance in who my Lord is that i’ve never felt before especially
not in Protestantism.
Amen Michael! Welcome home!! I am so happy to see this message. You have encouraged me greatly my friend. We stand together brother!!

Amazing! Thank you for sharing
That is really beautiful - painful, but really beautiful.
❤May your friend find true rest. Your story is so touching and yes Mother Marie has and will always point to Jesus, she knows nothing else. May she pray for us that we get to know him like she did.

There's also a story about St Ignatius who when he was a young man considered killing a man who said he didn't believe in Mary's perpetual virginity lol. He didn't do it thank God, and I guess I shouldn't laugh, but sometimes things can get heated.

Amen." @@tknciliba4743the same way God gives Satan permission to tempt us and know all our weaknesses, God gives Mary and the saints in heaven permission to hear our prayers and pray for us just like we pray for each other.
Amen!

Bible is an Inclusive book not an Exclusive book. The Other books also should be taken into account.
The Bible actually says that there are more things happening, that all of them can't fit in the Bible. I forgot the exact wording and don't know where to find it, but I have heard this from people who reside in different US States and various walks of life, many years ago. Could anyone tell me ?

Hi Keith, I, too, converted to Catholicism this past April 2019 after being a protestant for 15+ years. Mary was a big obstacle for me as well until I started doing my research and reading the bible in its historical context - which is SO important because if we look at scripture through the lens of that time, we will understand that back in that time, the queens of the kingdoms were not the wives of the kings, the queens were the mothers of the kings. Jesus is the King of Kings - which makes Mary our blessed Mother and - yes- our Heavenly Queen 🤗❤
Also, in that time, when the husband died, the responsibility to care for the mother would be passed onto the oldest son.

So Maryology was the hardest theology for me to see, & believe in. But that's the thing that are prots brothers, & sisters need to ask themselves, to start seeing, how & why we become Catholics when the Bible says X, Y, & Z...
So hearing what you said that Jesus gives Mary to John to bring us closer to him, that Mary was given as a gift to the church is the most beautiful way to put it💯
The very 1st thing I've noticed when I first began to see Catholicism in the Bible, is that the scriptures go so much deeper than protestants realize. The cross goes 10x deeper than protestants interpret.
The irony is how Prots love to say "Jesus said it is finished" on the cross, when they don't even realize what exactly is finished...

Lisa,
Understand, Jesus founded just one Church on Peter. There's no other.
Our Lord sent His one true Church on a universal or catholic mission in:
Matthew 28:19
19. Therefore, go forth and teach "All Nations", baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Lisa, "All Nations" mission is universal; kataholos in Greek, Catholic in English.
Here's an excerpt of the one he wrote to the Catholic community at Smyrna in 107AD; 60 years after Peter and Paul's death in the infamous "Roman Circus":
▪︎Letter to the Church at Smyrna.
Ch. 8 excerpt:
"Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is The Catholic Church".
Amen. We just talked about that tonight. The demons fear her!
@@pmustoe I totally agree with you! Nicely said!

@@MaddieSchnitzel she's not more blessed than others. Do you have a church with your name? Do you have a prayer in your name? Mary shouldn't either. Nor any Saint. Pray only to God, worship only God.
I love people who love my mother. How much more do Our Lord Jesus love the people how love His mother. Lord Jesus please let know Your mother we love her very much. Please let her know we ask her to pray for us. Thank Keith you for all you do. God bless you and your family.
Thanks so much!!
Where I come from there is a popular saying, "After the river is crossed, the BRIDGE" is no longer of any importance". Andy Ong Singapore
I like this. Very well stated saying.
Mary referred to herself as a servant of the lord. She had an important role, but she never wanted to be glorified in any way. ALL glory be to Jesus.
Martin Luther also picked and chose we choose the one true 2000 year old mother church that our Father Jesus Christ left for us
I recently started going back to Catholic church after being gone for 40 years.
“Catholic nerdieness”- that’s classic! Thank you for your kind words.
"He Who Has Not Mary for His Mother Has Not God for His Father.
Do not expect to receive mercy from God who offends His blessed Mother.” --Saint Louis De Montfort
A woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
Luke 11: 27-28
Mary knew she needed Jesus to save her.

As a Catholic I agree with that scripture verse.
What's your point
@@iggyantiochThe point is that Mary herself was trying to tell people it's not me you should be hailing, it's Jesus 🙏
The "hailing" was from the mouth of God. To Mary
So God said " hail Fully of Grace" to her.
He honored her from the beginning.
@@evangelesong6319they don’t get it. They are so into this world religion. They are not Christians. They are so confused as to WHAT THEY BELIEVE
JESUS was not giving us his mother…. At the cross HE TOLD JOHN to take her into HIS house she can’t be bought into ours since SHE IS DECEASED and is not OMNIPRESENT
Thank you!
Read St Louis de Montfort on Mary.
Behold your Mother by Tim Staples is a great book to read. Thank you for being so open Amy! I will pray a rosary for you. The Holy Spirit will guide you! Thanks for watching!

It features Dr. Brant Pitre, who Father Mike Schmitz named as his favorite Catholic speaker for scriptural talks, and he runs through a lot of the scriptural evidence for Catholic Marian beliefs.
The IMITATION OF MARY is one of the great book you can read also.

What an amazing story thank you for sharing this. I will use this in teaching the 10 year olds to help them understand the love for Mary that we have.
Awesome testamony I myself have been following the Catholic Church and thinking of converting but not there just yet
Ever since I was a little girl I have felt a deep connection to the Blessed Mother. She is our Heavenly Mother. I pray the rosary every night.
A gift for us from God, a mother... You made me cry right there.
Thank you.
Well, she didn't create you and she didn't die for you on the cross. So, maybe you can pray to the One and Only who did that - Jesus Christ.
How did he tell you to try and see? I want to become catholic too but I have trouble praying to saints
Miracle of Mary's Apparitions are confirming Her status !
God bless you!

Some thing I learnt recently, the Eastern Roman Empire never called itself Byzantium or themselves Byzantines, so now, nor will I.
