OK. I bought a home with a garage that had a retractable extension cord and the end was broke off. It only has a black and white wire. How do I replace the end on this? Any help is appreciated

Ok them plugs with the lights are they suppose to be green or red ?

Tonesmokeoff Mine are green on the female end letting me know there is power no light no power

the reason the white and black wires are backwards is because you put the connector on the wrong end of the extension cord
