Yeah it was definitely enjoyable. I know everyone has been loving this season but its honestly been hit or miss for me, and this was a hit.

The fighting portrait in this episode was so good, There are plenty of ways to make a smart guy wins, just use some cool technology to murder enemies. However, they choose to make villain possess the power that disable Rick's weapons, so he had to analyze their ability and use strategy to fight back. That's definitely more interesting than watching Rick wipe them out with some crazy machine.

My favourite scenes are when he improvised and makes/does something on the spot using his knowledge, a lot of the fights where people just punch each other feel really bland and lame and goes against his character.
Except rick was literally immortal because of his unresolved fortune so he had the win in the bag the whole time

I liked this episode because Rick seemed a tad more human (despite the killings lol) he had emotions in his voice that wasn't just anger or annoyance. Like he was having fun and being surprised for once. Thought it was a neat touch.
Yes. The way that the fortune cookie magic captured his curiosity made him recognize there are still powers beyond his understanding in the universe seemed to be a rebirth moment for Rick.

I love the progression of this episode. It started innocently enough at a Chinese restaurant, then it got a bit paranoid when Rick's discovers the fortune to be true, then its a minor spy flick and then it spirals into a full one X-men battle and black holes and everything.
Rick ate a Fortune Cookie that says "You'll make a new friend" then he's wondering why Jerry is calling him a friend in the end lol
No, he was pissed that Jerry called him a friend because that made him mortal again.
Remember; as long as you have an unresolved fortune, you're unkillable.
He still got a bunch of unresolved fortunes so he's still technically immortal
I mean, Jerry is as much to blame for the fortune coming to an end as Rick, he didn't even bother to tell him about the unresolved fortune, by their nature the fortunes are bound to end, it's a liminal power, not made to be clung onto, like a one-night stand, or a loophole on a subscription-based service.

I know that this season has been very close to home(literally) since the portal gun broke.This season has been sticking to continuity & i like it & wonder what the conclusion it brings.

if you look at one of the fortune cookies he ate, one of them says his crush will call him. So until we see that happen or is mentioned as happening in the show, we can assume that for now he is actually immortal. That one or one of the other ones must've been what he read at the very end of the episode after jerry ruined the friend one.
Jerry could've really used his shell mode near the end of this episode, considering the looming fate.

Now this is what I call an epic Rick and Jerry episode. Not gonna lie, but this battle was so badass!🔥🔥 Season 6 has been going great so far. This is also a duo that never disappoints us. Hope we get more Rick and Jerry episodes in the future of this series.
I like that Rick has grown to like Jerry. In season 1 Jerry meant nothing to him. But now he's actually concerned for him and how his family isn't taking it seriously.
The guy who got his eyes and mouth vanished was right up there with the guy who can't be killed on the misfortune-o-meter!
This battle scene is so awesome. Magic and technology fight together is tight!

The two dudes kissing didn’t get a fortune
Rick just casually shooting the blank fortunes at guys despite the risk to himself. Even with the fortunes being random, and even with the odds being miniscule, there was still a more than 0 chance of one of those guys getting a "You will kill Rick" fortune, or worse. The odds are significantly higher when you consider the range of things that could happen disadvantageous to him despite not directly having anything to do with him specifically. Very reckless and in character.
Convenient that Rick just happens to make the exact technology he needed to defeat them…

Moment of silence for the guy who can't be killed, who got sucked into that portal to who knows where, and is gonna be in pain for the rest of time

I wonder how the "you cannot be killed" fortune would work if put to the extreme. Because at what point are we saying someone is dead? Does it mean that you could have all but one of your cells destroyed and have a single invulnerable cell, but your consciousness is gone? Or would your consciousness remain even if your very atoms were scattered across the universe?
I'm still saying blood bending is brutal and Amon was an amazing villain.
To be fair, if Rick wasn't going to kill those guys, the diabetes from their dependence on sugary fortune cookies was.
