I felt the same exact way when listening. This guy is Mitch! "A friend asked me if I would like a frozen cricket. I said NO. But later, I would like a regular cricket... Sooo YES."
Grasshoppers are way better. Crickets are extremely annoying. Grasshoppers will avoid humans because they're smart, while the crickets are stupid and constantly approach us even after you've swatted at them and missed. They just don't get it.
Remember if you're a reptile keeper, that even your feeder insects like grasshoppers & crickets need to be given food too! Here in the UK, our #1 nationwide pet branch does *not* feed their insects, and this has lead to horrific scenes in my experience keeping them. My freshly bought hoppers have died rapidly in the tub, they've lost the vibrancy of their colour and gone soft & squishy instead of crunchy as they should be. They've been so starved of food they even tried biting my gecko! They would also ooze this brown puss when bitten. I asked this store if they fed their feeder insects and they replied _"Why should we?"_
Great info. But even though grasshopper is a compound word, the S and H dont make the "sh" sound 😅 (its quite distracting. Lol. The narrator says it everytime 😭)
Feel like I'm hearing Mitch Hedberg.
I keep waiting for a punchline to each question.........

RIP Mitch 💜
