@@FunandGameswithTerryHow about whenever you do a Tier9 ship review that you play a ranked game. Use your good offices with wargaming to get a guarantee to say ranked will always be Tier9.
@@FunandGameswithTerry The Tier 9 feels like a mix between A Worcester/ Seattle and Rochester its a solid ship in my opinion. The Tier 5 Is excellent i agree. Also she was a real ship that almost was saved as museum ship too
Just a quick historical note, the Argentinian navy acquired two brooklyn class cls during the cold war, one of which was sunk by the British during the falklands war
And yet, _and yet_, they decided to make T8-10 "could have been Worcesters" instead of using actually existing ships, which would have been perfectly fine for the role, or at least to fill 8 and 9. They even mention it in the detail - "they bought Brooklyns, but if they hadn't, this could have been..." I will never understand that.
Actually Terry part of radar guidance are shells splashes , the radar detects the splashes as well as the ship , this data is then added into the firing solution , so in fact the shell splashes are very much a part of this . As always , great videos and much appreciated.
I honestly didn't know that - had a quick look at the Mark 37 gun fire control system manual, and you're right, it does use splash tracking for surface fire radar direction. I'm not 100% sure I grasped _how_ they're doing it (given that you can have multiple ships dropping shells, how do they distinguish?), but it sounded like they use fixed salvo intervals to pin them down. The IJN, of course, solved that in a more "colourful" way... Thanks for the info!
I learned this from an original copy of the Mk.37 fire directors manual I found in a used book store , I am glad you brought up the matter of other ships shell splashes , that is addressed , and gives me reason to go back and read up , cheers M8t.
Thanks! I've been learning some new skills on image editing from UAD and HOI4 videos, so I'm trying to throw in some variations for Warships Blitz videos as well. Glad you like it! Also, gave me an opportunity to right a wrong and throw in the Argentinian Naval Jack.
I am enjoyung La Argentina as well. It is very good. Sadly I couldn't get any of the higher tiers, but I'll grind to them. The Argentinian Navy did purchase a British light cruiser that still fought in the Falklands, although it was sunk by torpedoes, I think the ship was renamed General Belgrano by Argentina. This cruiser served from 1951 to it's sinking in the 1980's. But yea, no work was made on the Americans designing a cruiser based on the Worcester for Argentina. In fact, the Americans were very much against South American nations buying ships from European nations. Another fun fact about the Pan American cruisers is that someone actually made designs on actual design plans for real South American cruisers but WG basically copy pasted some already existing designs and added some new stuff and all. But anyway, I can't wait to start the grind to the San Martin once the line is released
I got tiers 3 4 and 5 out of the event. I haven't really played them much, but I think I'm going to enjoy La Argentina, and i'm surprised Vicente Guerrero at tier 3 has the combat instructions. Might be a really good ship.
Review for La Argentina upcoming, but I can already tell you that she's up there with Königsberg for one of the best T5 CLs imo. She doesn't have the rudder shift debuff higher tiers get.
Very true. It had relaxed somewhat for a while, but now it's pretty much back to that again. It's not my preferred style to be honest, I like a fluent battle better than sitting baseline for half the game, but on the other hand, it's also a nice tactical challenge
5:25, I find funny the game says the San Martin is a little longer than Worcester, despite the reduced number of turrets, and oh boy, the Worcester is simply the largest CL ever built. Still not as bad as the Yodo being much larger and heavier than Zaō
I think the size measurements in-game are not necessarily real or representative, but yes, they're large ships. This works ok on Worc, since she can dance, but this one likes to go in a straight line :) I like the ideal that Yodo represents - IJN can't build more ships than USN, so they just make them bigger.
I think I got a tier 3 or similar - too busy on Press myself at the moment :) The line is going to come out for regular grind in a couple of months anyway, so nothing lost.
Nice one, like to see more of the line. Also it's great, that you keep up the Smolensk-Fury 😅🫣 love it But I also have a request, can you revisit the Colombo one time. How is today, after the bug. Some say it's still the strongest BB, would you agree?
Thank you Terry and as always greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I really enjoy the tier 9 and the tier 5. Thanks for the great video.
Haven't tried T9 yet, but La Argentina is up there with the Königsberg imo. Excellent ship.

@@om4741 Both are amazing. But Konigsberg is better imo

I got the tier 4 from a crate, and I am extremely excited for this line, yeah the combat instructions is kind of annoying, but it is still fun

@@FunandGameswithTerry looking forward to your suggested build, I'm kind of lost on light cruisers as a french DD main.
Nice!😊
Side question Terry: What's this new USN BB line they show for November?
Similar to Kearsarge
Santander is amazing and also I took out a Yamato's main battery gun with combat instructions active.
In English one good way to describe the T10 play on Asian server is “static” vs mid tier play on NA server could be described as “dynamic.”

@@FunandGameswithTerry well said. That one reason mid tier can be so much more fun.

wow new record on, u just posted almost 2 videos in a single day
I felt the lack of teamwork on your side. You have my sympathy. Lol
Pulled the tier 2, 3 and 4 out the event 😞 was hoping for at least a tier 5
Same. But I still look forward to the grind and the teir 4 is still fun to play.
Man the amount of DDs flanking to kill CVs these past few days has been way too high. I've had way too many loses just like you did.
As a f2p user ive gotten to tier 6 ships on two nations all ships types working on others now 😭
Its high time that WG addresses the noob situation now. Its pathetic at times.
i got nothing from the event due to not being able to play much

@@FunandGameswithTerry good to know
Too bad we can't know the potential damage taken on that 2nd game
Yeah, that'd have been an interesting stat...
I wish they added the actual Argentinian Flag to it too, it would look so much better than this panamerica bs
so hard to contain myself seeing these crap teammates
It's been a bit wonky these days 🙂
Always during events. Probably 2/3 of my games are losses cause of crap teammates but what can ya do.
i hate the wargaming bullshit of they could've buy from US and slap funny button
