Retopo, is the most satisfying part of the work, for me.
Oh yeah! The joy of retopology
hey! after this series please create a tutorial on sculpting a cartoon character like dreamworks hiccup.
Wowww
oh, the newest one is 36 and i am on the 26 @@ how fast i am, maybe i just follow your videos for 10 months
let me give you some advice. It's going to be simple. "Quads! Not triangles."
Let me ask you simple question. Why?
this is a game character, quads is for vfx movies, the mesh will get triangulated by game engine anyway, you can place triangles where you want aslong your mainloops are intact. Quads can be subdivided perfectly, which games do not do. That's why game retopology is much more enjoyable than for movies
@@SpeedChar It depends on what you need. If you doing animation with your character(or someone doing that, after your work), you totally need quads. If it's just static model - whatever. Quads would be better for best rigging results.
@@Shige2213 It depends on the game man. If we talking about android stuff, maybe. You know what I mean.
@@TheVaits3D Triangles are a problem only when the animator needs to select loops to rig easier. So triangle here or there is absolutely okay, and for the parts that will not bend or deform, can be completely triangulated. So triangles are okay.
