I know nobody is gunna give you props for the sound design in the intro with fading the alarm sound from the L to R channel so I will! Love to see (and hear) it
@@tyler_fraser Actually, I will give you props, I am an award winning and nominated Sound Editor / Sound Designer. I have my iPhone sitting charging on a stand near my right speaker. DUDE!!! its amazing that you make such short videos packed with VALUABLE info.... This channel will blow up... I will share in all the facebook groups I belong to for real estate photo and video... My business grew from 60k in 2022 to 201K in 2023, so I know everything you are saying is spot on, and want more people to see this channel... Great work man!!
This man speaks the truth. We talked over three years ago and he shared a lot of this same knowledge with me back then. Followed his advice, but not right away. Probably took me about a year until I finally decided to just dive in and friend request every agent I could find in my area. I've spent zero on marketing and I've been growing like crazy over the last two years. Yeah it can feel a little weird at first to just basically open your facebook to everyone but you know what's not weird? Making money! That's how they do it, play their game and get into their circles.
@@tyler_fraser I thought it must have been like last year that we chatted, and I went and found the DM and it was summer 2021 😅 time flies when you're doing well lol ::scratch that, it was 2020 not 2021 - jesus time really does fly
You are right on the ball, Tyler. Consistency is the key. Too many new business owners will send out one or two newsletters, and you will never hear from them again. Those who are consistently in the agent's and broker's faces are the ones who will get the business. As a side note, agents have the complete member database at their fingertips, which gives them access to everyone's contact info in an accurate list. It can make a great marketing tool. Keep up the great work. Your channel has some outstanding content.
Hey Tyler! I’ve been in business for 3 going on 4 years and you are one of the first that speak about the practices I’ve done to grow to where I am today! Great compact straight to the point videos! Love it! Keep going!
Great vid Tyler, love the door hanger idea! Workin on my portfolio pics and then starting FB/IG page. Noticed you didn't mention IG but I'm sure it can't hurt. Def being sincere and nice is priceless.... Keep ya posted
Great tips but Facebook didn't give me the option to add the realtors as friends, it only gave me the opportunity to Follow. How would you be able to implement your steps by following them?
If they are there and present I do. If the homeowner is there I also will ask them, if not.. I just do it anyway. If they want it down, they’ll throw it away lol
Ive handed out cards in RE offices, sent emails, gone to open houses, post regularly to IG with examples of my work. I get very little to no feedback getting new clients. Im guessing the market is still really bad but I could be wrong. Can you share your thoughts as to what I might be missing? Thanks!
Engaging with realtors on social media is huge too! Whenever you see a real estate agent post something like “under contract” just comment on it saying congratulations! This will keep your name relevant, also, you can try just reaching out to them and asking them about their business a little bit, see if they do more listings or work with buyers, and just let them know that you are willing to help with anything in their real estate marketing. Try to build connections, that’s where real success comes from!
Hm, that’s odd. Here’s another trick! Just google local real estate offices, usually they’ll have a list of their agents with their name and photo, just fb search them! Eventually Facebook will start recommending agents to you in the “recommended friends” section!
I'm considering trying this facebook approach. But I'm concerned real estate agents are not going to be interested in accepting a friend request from a random guy. Should I be worried or do you think I will be pleasantly surprised?
Hey @carterhall3941! I think this approach hits the nail on the head and highlights an important trend we're seeing with marketing and networking in this day in age. People are craving human interaction and genuine connections. I actually just worked with a contractor who didn't yet have an organic flow of referrals coming in and needed to quickly scale while pivoting from residential to commercial work. He'd already spent some time trying to foster a social media presence, website, and had kinda retreated to only bidding on BuildZoom and some cold phone outreach which stretched his ability to run the business.. what I found to be incredibly effective for his efforts and almost instantly had an impact was automating/batching his outreach efforts with just a touch of personalization in each message we sent out. Essentially, we scaled the personalized outreach. What I'd recommend, depending on the market and business you're in (I'm assuming real estate/photography) is to go ahead and draft some canned email outreach templates if you haven't already, hook up Mail Merge to your email and spend just a little bit of time setting up a personalized intro line for each ideal person you're reaching out to. For example, I'd spend the first day of the week gathering a list of clients I wanna work with (maybe 100-500), find a small detail about those clients that's easy to look up (i.e. if servicing restaurants or local businesses putting their founding date and saying something like "I noticed y'all have been in the same family owned location since 1999...." and then follow up with a canned response such as "we're about to wrap up some commercial work and looking to take on a couple local projects. Are you anticipating any upcoming remodels/construction?" This is just an example and can be modified for personal outreach as well on any platform. Other folks might suggest striking up a simple conversation first, and honestly to each their own. I personally like cutting to the chase and showing that I'm interested in partnering with people. Real recognizes real, so if you have a decent "portfolio" or online social media presence, you'll attract similar individuals when they check out your page after a cold outreach. So, each morning during the rest of your week you can send out those messages. This approach probably had the most immediate ROI with multiple interested customers reaching out and the best part was that the tools used to do this were completely free (just be careful not to send out more than 500 emails per day on a well established business email account, honestly 15-30/day seems to work well for now). Another method that can yield good headway is to literally throw on a nice button down shirt or polo and slacks and head over to your local RE office (call ahead first!) and say you'd like to introduce yourself, drop off some business cards, and/or get together for lunch to meet and greet some of the local players. Not enough people are willing to do that, and it pays off huge for networking, plus people love an excuse to leave the office for a "business" meeting. Lastly, with AI/automation I like to think of it as a low level employee that does all your drafting, prep work, research, and emulates your voice, but at the end of the day leaves it to the business owner/managers to approve and hit the send button in the end. Make the numbers work in your favor by saving time while still keeping your unique voice and personality when reaching out to people. Facebook is a great avenue to work through, I'd also reach out to their business email accounts many of which can be found with a quick Google or Loopnet search. Hope this helps! Also, apologies if I covered things you're already well aware of. It took about 6 months of trial and error before achieving some great results and realizing there are definitely cheaper, easier ways to do marketing and networking than just cold calling and ads. I definitely want to cut that learning curve for others when I can!
Tyler, I have a business page on FB; when I search for "realtors in my area" all I get are businesses to FOLLOW, not someone to friend....is it because I have a business FB page, and not a personal one?
Great advice, but FB is such a necessary evil. I live in the PNW, and just did a search for realtors near me. The first one that came up is in Atlanta, and the majority are east of the Mississippi!
