And finally in Return of the Jedi, the Executor falls into the Death Star 2.0 and explodes, and it's tiny compared to the battle station. THE EMPIRE JUST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER AND BIGGER.
That's the problem there isn't anything new in star wars. All it is, is the rebels have a hard time but manage to blow up a HUGE attestation. Star wars need something new.

It's the lighting. It's more natural. Plus the artists go to greater lengths to hide imperfections. As rendering engines improve as well as lightning techniques, you may not be able to tell the difference in the future. For now, the models will always look better. They always show the right amount of detail.
Imagine the Executor class Dreadnought had a few updates, for example a lower bridge and hidden deflector shield generator’s and way better technology all throughout the ship. That would make the Executor Class Dreadnought more hard to bring down because it’s bridge would be harder to get and the deflector shields can not be targeted but if the Deflector Shield generators are still exposed than make a hard shell around it so that it is impossible to blast through the armor so the shield generators are safe.

Everyone is complaining about how an A Wing destroys SSD. In fact, by the command of Admiral Ackbar, rebel capital ships concentrate fire on SSD. (watch movie carefully) I guess they took out SSD's shields and then it was vulnerable.
They did...there is 3 shield generator on the Super Star destroyer and just before the last order of Piett you see the last being destroyed...thats why he said intensidied forward firepower !!!
Turg You’re right. The Executor has backup control centers in case the bridge was destroyed, but they weren’t fast enough to take control, so the ship crashed into the Death Star.

The Executor class Super Star Destroyers are my favorite class of ships. My second favorite’s are the Nebulon C and B frigates but my #1 is the Executor class Super Star Destroyer.

Ever since I first saw the Empire Strikes Back and I saw the Executor for the first time one thing has always bugged me and that is who came up with making a Star Destroyer that large.
Also, the Executor had at least two auxiliary command decks on the top of the hull. Then there is the whole fighter numbers discrepancy. Millenium Falcon leading or not, the amount of TIE fighters, interceptors and bombers, should have been overwhelming - and even then tbh Lucas gave the Imperials a relatively small number of fighters. This was a big battle. If the empire wanted, it could have marshalled millions of TIE's and hundreds more SD's. I know the Rebel leader Mon Mothma explained how

In Legends, sure, the Eclipse was larger(but slightly shorter) than the Executor. In canon, the Eclipse and the Executor are the same class of Star Destroyer, so they’re virtually identical.
My point being that, I'd still have 99% of my ships left and I would even have had to fire a damned shot in battle. Just pilot a multi-hundred thousand tonne warship into the Republic cruisers at full pelt or even have a skeleton crew of those worthless battle droids and burst into enemy ships out of hyperspace. No amount of flak would prevent the thing from busting through the shields and basically wrecking or exploding the enemy ship. Do this for every Republic ship, and there we could we win.

True enough. The 80s were in many ways the height of practical effects, with the remakes of The Fly and The Thing being paramount examples. This CGI merely dirties the water, so to speak. Although, I'm not able to take the perspective of someone who cannot distinguish between the two.
btw the irony is that the cannon dictated the ship HAD MASSIVE FLAWS... communication towers were inefficiency and the second bridge couldn't take control directly unless control was completely lost. the impearial admirals(not moffs) agreed that the super star destoyer exicuter was a flawed design and one of the biggest of its class. and suffered greatly because of it... in my eyes its not a realy warship more a command vessle i know of other ssd that are half size and four times as powerful

In the old movies it was the model made of paper / plastic / etc. I don't think it looks more realistic, it just looks different from CGI

Technically the a-wing didn’t even destroy it, it just took out the control center so the ship crash landed in the Death Star which made it blow up

True enough. The 80s were in many ways the height of practical effects, with the remakes of The Fly and The Thing being paramount examples. This CGI merely dirties the water, so to speak. Although, I'm not able to take the perspective of someone who cannot distinguish between the two.
The Executor is the longest, but the Eclipse was definitely the biggest, it had a crew 3 times bigger than the Executor.

btw the irony is that the cannon dictated the ship HAD MASSIVE FLAWS... communication towers were inefficiency and the second bridge couldn't take control directly unless control was completely lost. the impearial admirals(not moffs) agreed that the super star destoyer exicuter was a flawed design and one of the biggest of its class. and suffered greatly because of it... in my eyes its not a realy warship more a command vessle i know of other ssd that are half size and four times as powerful
IMO i would agree with Thrawn, and would prefer powerful and mobile groups.
