The hard part about marksmanship isn't putting your sights on the target, it's not fucking up the trigger pull... When it comes to recoil management, you treat it like a fire hose. For me Squad used to be a unique game that had taken a tactical component from such games as ARMA, dynamic gameplay and skill dependence from the games like Battlefield and CoD. It was a kind of golden mean. To play and win, you had to shoot well, use your brain (tactics) and necessarily communicate with your teammates. I started investing my time in training my aim, other skills and learning the basics of other game roles. After that, I joined a competitive clan in order to try my hand at competitive Squad and further explore the tactical side of the game. Communication in competitive Squad is much better than on public servers with random people (this is quite rare there). Being a part of a competitive Squad team, I was able to feel perfect symbiosis of tactics and shooting (just to remind, Squad is a SHOOTER). Im looking to try the game, hows the recoil of the weapons in this game, do they just spray the sht out of you from hundred meters away or do they just tap?
So I just started playing squad yesterday and literally have only played 1 full match and I call BS on the weapon recoil when firing. Shooting a M4 shouldn’t have the recoil of a damn 50 cal. I honestly think the devs have never fired a weapon before
When game devs never shoot they didnt even hold weapon in hands and try to make „realistic” improvments so this is what happend, from trained soldier we went to 5yo kid holding weapon. I have acog scope to my hunting rifle and its not even close how and what you see though scopes like this + even i (not trained soldier) can aim shoot with more accuracy than what we have in game now
Looks much better! Great video, was a pleasure to watch! And I'm thinking people will opt for a red dot alot more since the new recoil pattern might piss people that are used to a run and gun sorta play style off, and so red dots will be simpler and more accessible for players that aren't patient enough to wait for the scope image to settle.
It is looking good but my main criticism so far has been the optics just are too small on the screen, they take up little space and you feel like your eye is 30cm from the optic. I own an ACOG and a couple other optics in this game and when using them it does not look or feel as far away as it is depicted in-game. Also they need to come up with a semi-transparent unzoomed background when using the Russki optics that have the rubber eye relief cushion. I can still use both eyes open on the PSO scopes. If the game is going to go this hardcore with realism of real objects in the game, they need to nail it.
ADS is the main reason I don't like playing squad. Every time I ADS my frames tank, the scope is flying all over my screen for 30 seconds while my frames try to catch up, and then by the time it settles, I'm focused in and I can finally actually see, I've already been shot dead. I dunno, ADS shouldn't be hard imo but it literally makes the game nearly unplayable for me
if the devs would add some coop missions (not just a simple bot mod) i would play this game instead of arma, they can add a huge player base to squad, the mechanics are amazing i just don’t like pvp

i like it but why are the russian weapons FOV on scopes stupidly high makes it near on impossible to see anyone, the acog on the usa weapons is like a sniper scope
This kind of ruined the game actually. I don't know why this video is just now popping up but the overhaul that they did to vanilla definitely ruined the gunfighting system.
Lmao you mean to tell me as someone who been hunting since i was 8 . That the scope blurres around the scope because realism. No wonder why china did need body armor
As a person who has played after this update, It’s annoying, I tried it and still exclusively play GE. I see what the devs are doing, and like it, but it just doesn’t feel right. It’s a game, people are always going to rush in a battlefield with no regard for their own “life” I just think respawn times should take longer, and make more punishments for dying, THAT will slow down gameplay while not making half the playerbase mad.
My first game back I team killed a whole squad. Their names didn’t pop up so I opened fire. Wish there were a setting to keep them on permanently so my stupid self can tell
The blurred and obscured surroundings while scoped makes zero sense. Have squad devs ever looked through a scoped rifle??? What is 2 eye shooting and why is it the standard for any professional military??? This update was a complete and total failure.
i dont like the aiming system it feels so damn uncontrollable even when you have full stamina and laying down it will make for better gameplay but for gunplay its an L
Well, im still buying ut but..we not being able to shoot from cars , trucks and helis? I mean..yeah no. Still buying tho. Idgaf about the recoil, i get used to it quickly

@@wideokompakt7067you pro ico guys say the same thing but we still out shoot you. Comp players are the core player base.
@@A-aron89 Comp players in Squad bro 😂😂😂
Run in the map with no fear and shoot with your mouse, is not skill
go back to licking windows@@wideokompakt7067
My game crashes frequently what should I do ?
The Picture in Picture scopes kills your fps thats why
Uninstall and never reinstall this trash ever again. Trash game with an even worse community, not only that but it uses easy anticheat which gives hackers unmitigated administrative access to your machine. They could brick your rig if they wanted to, or just steal any credit/debit card information from any online purchases youve ever made.
I honestly think the devs have never fired a weapon before
Play modded servers. Steel division has the old gunplay which makes the experience 100x better
The devs are canadian, so, yeah, they are firearm illiterate.
@@badbaba9002 I started playing in the GE servers and love it
that is a lot better and kinda looks like six days in fallujah. but when is it coming out
No word on when it releases yet
Plays like 6 days mu dude lol
When game devs never shoot they didnt even hold weapon in hands and try to make „realistic” improvments so this is what happend, from trained soldier we went to 5yo kid holding weapon. I have acog scope to my hunting rifle and its not even close how and what you see though scopes like this + even i (not trained soldier) can aim shoot with more accuracy than what we have in game now
How about finger movement?when adjusting scope, finger should be roll together with and make perfect aiming set.
Thank you! I agree, it'll be interesting to see the difference in what people run with and how things operate after this is launch!
It will!
Mane I still can’t get squad to work
Good, maybe make it so that i dont have to sit still for 10 seconds in order to aim straight
How are you meant to use iron sites if your whole screen goes blurry the second someone fires in your direction? (Same goes for red dot sights)
I really hope they smooth out the gunplay it just feels so fake and jerky is the best way I can describe it
I'm sure it'll improve over time.
This is going to make squad into a prone camping sim at best and kill the community in a month at worst
You all are forgetting that they fixed the noodle arm issue and its a lot more stable then it was before
No, it isnt fixed, its still trash.
@@ProfessorOfLogicAtUnvOfScience bruv it’s a lot more realistic then before
@@mrtraci5450 no it isnt. Are you basing this upon your wealth of combat experience?
the playtest felt like what SQUAD should have been.
When I look in a scope in rl, I don't see blear
When is this coming!!!
Not sure yet.
27th
More updates u make longer gc takes
og squad shooting is pubg shooting
Some of this has to be project reality
It would be great if the devs improved weapon recoil from advice from real soldiers
As someone in the army. It can be pretty damn accurate to how annoying it is to run around and get the correct sight picture, when you’re exhausted the kick throws you off just enough.
As a guy who used a giggle switch I can say this game has too much fucking recoil.
If this was in UE5 I whould play it
The current one is better. The weapons were way squirrelier before the current setup and it sucked so I’d hope they don’t go back to that
i like it but why are the russian weapons FOV on scopes stupidly high makes it near on impossible to see anyone, the acog on the usa weapons is like a sniper scope
the devs have never seen any a gun in real life.
How to create???
yeah nah guns really have like no recoil irl if u use them correctly these devs need to shoot sum actual guns
how i used It?
oh shit maybe the guns will actually be usable in full auto
okay nevermind
As a person who has played after this update,
It’s annoying, I tried it and still exclusively play GE.
Camos
The blurred and obscured surroundings while scoped makes zero sense. Have squad devs ever looked through a scoped rifle??? What is 2 eye shooting and why is it the standard for any professional military??? This update was a complete and total failure.
ITS BLURRY WHY???
im so comfy with my not-great PC since i know i wont be having enough FPS to use those scopes anyways )))
I love this game
i dont like the aiming system it feels so damn uncontrollable even when you have full stamina and laying down it will make for better gameplay but for gunplay its an L
all guns have exaggerated recoil and no stock
Looking down an acog doesnt look like that
Well, im still buying ut but..we not being able to shoot from cars , trucks and helis? I mean..yeah no. Still buying tho. Idgaf about the recoil, i get used to it quickly
I LIKE CURRENT MORE
All this update did was change the animations slightly and make the gun play worse by slowing down the game every gun fight now just feels more like luck than skill unless im sitting in a bush doing nothing for 15 minutes
Played it last night and everyone was bitching about it, but I personally love it and think it’s way more realistic than having nearly everyone running an ACOG and being pinpoint accurate on full auto from 80-150 yards
i loved the update
