I have a question though regarding the PNCs, I remember you saying in an older video that the plastic envelopes/sleeves they're in can cause damage (have also heard this from another youtuber, but that's it). I recently started collecting PNCs myself and have also seen that on the Australia Post website it says they're made of PVC, but are acid free. "Acid free" is definitely a good thing, but the PVC part concerns me. Do the plastic envelopes actually damage the PNCs? Would also like to hear from anyone who has been collecting PNCs for a long time, do you remove your PNCs from their plastic envelopes/sleeves? Do they damage the PNC?

I only started a couple of years back and have found the experience rewarding, more rewarding than collecting FDCs. I agree that there have been videos where collectors mentioned he plastic sleeves may not be ideal for long-term storage. I do have some concerns about this issue but I haven't been collecting long enough to give a definitive answer. As a remedy, I have split my PNCs into two collections. Those in my binders are more valuable and are kept without the plastic sleeves. Those I kept in a box are more common and are stored in their original plastic sleeves. So far, I have not had any issues with toning (touch wood)! I think if you are going to store your PNCs in binders with the non-PVC sheets, I would recommend you remove the plastic sleeves. The sheets alone will protect the PNCs. You can use the sleeves again in the future. Hope this helps.
