    K6S review starts at 4:52 (not indicated on time bar). Champion Helmets weighed the new K6S and found that it was lighter than the previous model, at only 1298 grams for a size medium.

    I ordered a K6S in Sic58 colourway. They didnt have any XL size in the country so I had to order it from Germany. It's been like 3 weeks but should hopefully be here this week or early next. Fingers crossed.

    Question: what is the shell material on the K3? What is the benift going from plastic to fibre in terms of safety?
    Thanks!

    I have worn AGV since the Quasar (1995)Currently have a corsa r. Looking at a pista next. Does the price justify it? Is it that much better? I normally watch Revzilla for reviews but I thought I’d give this try. Good luck with the channel

      Hi Daniel. Thank you for watching our video. The current AGV Pista GPrr is now FIM homologated. It was very difficult for even the top manufactures to get through the FIM test successfully and a lot of flag ship helmets had to go back to the drawing board to pass the test. Although the Pista GPrr is carbon fiber, you'll notice it isn't necessarily feather weight at 1.450g for the smallest of the shell sizes. That is because the Carbon Fiber is used to maximise strength whilst keeping the acceptable level. There is also a lot of extras that come with the Pista GP rr, like visor tear offs, drink tube accessories, ear plugs, additional foam inserts for custom fitting and some of the limited edition helmets also include a tinted visor. They aren't cheap helmets but when compared to Bell's ProStar FIM helmet at £1199.99 and the Arai RX7v Carbon at £2799.99, it isn't that expensive, especially if you are able to pick one up in a sale. There is no doubting that the Pisa GP RR is a very special helmet and it has earnt a reputation amongst bikers because of it. I hope this has helped some what towards your opinion on the AGV Pista GP rr and we will make a video soon covering these top end helmets so that our followers have a better understanding of where their money goes when they invest in a helmet of that level. Phil

    I just bought the K3 and the store employees couldn't find a visor for the K3 2.6 as they say. But according to my research, The K5 visor also fits the K3. Is this correct?

    If I’m a MS in AGV would I go to the M for K6s?

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  Год назад +1

      Hi Liam. I normally wear a MS in AGV and I found that I am a Small in the new K3 model which has dropped the MS ML sizes in favor of just having one medium. But AGV has now introduced variable sized cheek pads for the new K3 so that the fit can be tailored to the customer. The best thing to do is to pop over to one of our shops and try on the K6s in both Medium and Small to see which is the better fit for you.

    They didn’t refresh the k5s? Is that one also still worth buying?

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  Год назад

      They have brought out some new graphics on the K5 but they haven't updated the construction so it is still a ECE 22-05 helmet. Having said that, if you are wanting a composite AGV with an internal flip down visor, it's still the one to go for. I suspect that AGV will be dropping the K5 model from the range, so if you want one I'd get it whilst you can.

    What happened to k5s line

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Hks071. AGV haven't continued with the K5s, I think it's because the K3 is better than it in every way other than it having a thermoplastic shell. There is also possibly an element of simplifying their production lines because of the cost related to getting all their helmets through the newer ECE22-06 test. Thanks for watching our video and for leaving me a comment 👍👍

    I am slightly dissapointed by the buckle-design on the k3.. everyone knows the double-d ring is best and only slightly more of a nuisance than a ratchet system.

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  Год назад +2

      Buckle style chin straps are definitely a thing you either love or hate. It’s surprising how many riders I’ve come across who’ve only had buckle chin straps and don’t know how to use a double D ring.

    • @adam346

      @@mymoto-uk I found it fairly intuitive and I only ever wore helmets on a 4-wheeler as a kid. I now practice how to do it up with my gloves on, which is fairly finnicky but still doable.. the buckle or ratchet or w/e systems are probably easier to do with gloves on but a little bit of practice and wearing in your gloves is all it takes.

    K6s with no sunvisor is UNUSABLE

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  Год назад

      The K6 would have probably sold better as a touring helmet if it had the internal visor but then it would have been no where near as light as it is if it did. I think that is why AGV have added a rear fin to it for the K6s, making it aimed more towards the sports market than the Touring one. It is still a great helmet, it looks great in grey with a silver visor and is probably pound for pound, the best value helmet we have in store.

    new K5 rumours?

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk  Год назад +1

      Hi DontGiefUp. There hasn't been any mention of a K5 replacement. I think that they will drop it because it was basically a K3s with a composite shell and a slightly improved visor seal. They have since put a better visor seal on the New K3 and also a better drop down visor mechanism, so I'd be surprised if we see a K5 replacement any time soon.

      Yes. It would be nice if all AGV’s were manufactured in Italy, especially as their logo it’s self includes the flag colours, but equally, iPhones aren’t though any less of with them being mainly assembled in China. I think that as long as AGV designs the helmet and plays a direct part in quality control then the only difference is the reduced production cost which benefits AGV customers.
