- Now I do not normally do reaction content but I was asked to cover this video. It also touched on a nerve in regards to the topic as I have talked about cheating in regards to speedrunning on Monster Hunter in the past.

This is why I no longer watch speedrunners of MH, I'd rather enjoy build guides, lore, monster attack highlights.
I really can’t believe the audacity that some people have because posting speed runs with tool assist isn’t a problem but faking it and making it appear normal is something I just think is a little to disrespectful

Truth be told, all the speedrunners mod the games in various ways to have faster times. From skipping game intro to always landing next to the target you want to fight. Changing the monsters behavior is just another aspect to get the fastest time possible. It's why I don't care for speed runs cause they'll use mods & say they beat the game legitimately when in reality they had to mod the game to do that.
even by TAS rules those runs are not legit. TAS runs have to start with a complete vanilla game.
Unfortunately I think the best option is to outright ban the use of mods of any kind for speedrunning. If you aren't aware, the rules for speedrunning especially in risebreak is absurd. There is WAAAY too many rules that go over all sorts of what mods are usable and what isn't. An outright blanket ban on mods would be the best option. And yes that includes visual mods. Keep in mind this is ONLY for speedrunning. I don't give a shit if you want your hunter to have quadruple D titties just playing the game normally. But if you are uploading a competitive speedrun ALL mods should be disabled. It just helps level the playing field. Unfortunately PC runs will be HIGHLY suspicious in the future, and I don't really see banning PC runs as a viable option. Would banning PC runs DRASTICALLY reduce the cheating problem, yes. But PC is a huge player base, and not everyone is going to have a console. It would be kinda awful to force people to buy a super expensive console just to Speedrun. Unfortunately from here on out, PC runs will forever be considered suspicious. If you want your runs to be taken more seriously, looks like runners are gonna need to invest in a console.
Who was that youtuber that used to upload modded MH - Rise hunts with monster combos that were simply impossible to get and passed them off as legit runs? Modding a PvE game ain't a problem but it does become one when trying to pass off something as legit when it's not.

Why always alatreon?
Alatreon is the most contained monster out of everyone. Single arena, no phases, and fights like a standard elder dragon outside of Teostra, Kushala, and etc
You see stuff all the time. Yesterday. 189 master rank. 30 hunter rank…?!?
As a PC player it really is disheartening to see people cheat this. As well as seeing things like people editing files to get gems and stuff... makes it hard to want to keep playing on the PC because even though I refuse to use mods it doesn't mean people won't think I do.
I mean it was pretty obvious that deva was cheating. Dude had god charms when the was barely dropping and in sunbreak it was more obvious with the qurios crafting
I didn't like Deva's response to the whole thing. His come off as arrogant. I just find his response funny.
