+licksnkicks You are right, I should have done so but when this video was taped, it was during my early days of experimenting, do live and learn as we say in the States, next cemetery video will be far more informative thanks to feedback like yours...
I know what you mean, thank you for your comments.. This video was done very early in my videotaping career, I now know what to do after tremendous feedback from my views..
Great cemetery video. The music was a bit overkill though and wasn't given much opportunity to read the names and dates of some epitaphs. Good job otherwise.
As ive said before vic..if ever you come to my kneck of the woods..ile take you on tour of our cemeteries..one of them..cathays cemetery ..is a huge victorian cemetery..i believe its the 3rd lagest in the u.k..some fantastic tombs there..lots with interesting stories 👍..i have photographed many graves there.there is a grave of a "zulu war" defender..if you have ever seen the film "zulu"..also a grave of a soldier was in the "charge of the light brigade"..and of course louisa maude evans..you can google her tragic story..and only 14yo when she passed
Hi Robin.. This cemetery is definitely (100%) in St Albans.. I lived in the area and walked by it over 100 times.. It is the cemetery around the Cathedral, I was there just a few days ago in order to re-videotape this historic place (because the video that you saw is very old)..
@@VicStefanu Evening Vic, I never considered the Abbey graveyard basically I never buried there, but concentrated my funerals at Hatfield Road and the newer Cemetery on London Road which is situated near London Colney. But thank you for your reply with best of Wishes
@@doravernon1511 You should read some of the books on the history of these graveyards and the overcrowded and unsanitary conditions of the buried dead before you attack my opinion!
@@shirleyholder2073 hi Shirley, when i walk around these places i don't feel sad at all, not sure why really; but there is a spooky feel for sure, i've had shivers and couldn't put my finger on what caused it, tho' if you watch my videos, i talk about the electro-magnetic energy & also piezo-electric derived from the corpses. I don't know what I did to deserve finding your channel..But it has been a great blessing..Thanks Vic..I needed your videos!😊
Thank you, a very old video of mine, I used to live around that area!
If you like old graveyards, please subscribe to my channel for in-depth commentary & walks.
The piano piece was absolutely beautiful. When I was young I didn't like grave yards - but now I am old and thanks be to Jesus- to die is gain.
Thanks for visiting! 👍👍👍
My hometown, Robert Runcie is buried there, he was the Bishop of St Albans and later Archbishop of Canterbury.
Thank you!! 👍👍👍 I need to go back for an updated video...
VERY TRANQUIL AS WELL AS BEAUTIFUL. LOVE THE MUSIC

Hello, thank you for your comments!!
Beautiful and so serene. Why didn't you show some of the dates on the stones that were readable? That is why I watched this in the first place!

Obrigado por seus comentários maravilhosos
What is this wonderful music ?
It is called 'Drone in D' by Kevin MacLeod
Would have loved a simple commentary telling the age of the graves if possible. Really enjoyed the tour.

Hi Chris, I would love to visit that cemetery, I may be coming back to the UK in October..
Many monuments I see in England are the same as many I see in Canada from the same era.
True, same goes for New England in the USA..
how old are these graves and how old are the oldest ones you have seen?
I believe that some of them go back to the 1830s...
Question..how many are buried here??....answer....ALL OF THEM
Hello, thank you for watching my videos!! There are around 100 tombs in this cemetery..
That's low: my latest video has 96,000 souls!
St Albans Cemetery?? Being that I was brought up in St Albans and a retired Funeral Director I just don’t recognise this Cemetery at all

Just like in the movies. Almost Gothic like

Watch out for Revenants mate!
Why won't show a born on & died on year??? That's torture!!!
