    “If Belichick leaves North Carolina it destroys his reputation as a coach and a man”- this has to be one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever heard.

      Honestly you can hear the jealousy in his takes and how he just wants to like destroy belichick

    I wasn’t bothered by the two interviews that satisfied the Rooney rule because I believe they did that to have the freedom to hire whomever they wanted on the spot if it came up. For instance, if they fell in love with Vrabel and didn’t want him to leave the building- it’s unrealistic to expect them to wait until more desirable targets like Flores or Glenn were available in person.

    • @elizabeth9674
      @elizabeth9674 16 часов назад

      Not sure I’ve ever seen Fred so worked up…..

    • @DMKFACTOR
      @DMKFACTOR 16 часов назад +1

      Maybe yes and maybe they just haven’t interviewed someone in over 25 years for head coach. You do get rusty. Plus Eliot Wolf to my knowledge has never interviewed a head coach before. Also in addition they could be guys Mike Vrabel has talked about for staff spots!

    • @DMKFACTOR
      @DMKFACTOR 16 часов назад

      @@elizabeth9674Plus Phil Perry CLEARLY stated they’ve reached out to Aaron Glen, who is by far the top minority candidate! Curren also said they are wanting to talk to Flores, but they can’t even put a request in to talk to him until the Vikings season is over!

    • @elizabeth9674
      @elizabeth9674 16 часов назад +1

      @@DMKFACTOR yes! And i hope they get the opportunity to hear both Ben and Aaron but if they find themselves in a situation where they don’t want Vrabel to do anymore interviews I’m okay with them putting themselves in a position to hire him on the spot (which they could only do with the people who were available to interview in person.)

    • @DMKFACTOR
      @DMKFACTOR 16 часов назад +1

      @ Right, and all working coordinators and coaches CANNOT interview in person until January 20th only if their team is eliminated. They’re going to have to wait until after at least championship weekend to meet with Glen or Johnson. This team needs a complete organizational wide rebuild along with the players on the field. They want to get someone in here with a plan to rebuild it NOW!
      My only concern with guys like Johnson and Glen is you have to have the organization built to support them. A guy like Vrabel can BUILD the organization around him! He has the experience needed for the job. Also on the Ben Johnson front, he’s kind of an introvert. He likes to be behind closed doors working on all his plays. That won’t work here, need someone that is present and able to multitask. Not sure a first time head coach can do all of what the Krafts need. They are complete hands off owners, and thats why last year was a mess. They aren’t football people, they had Bill for 25 years to run everything. He’s the one that controlled everything including the spending!

    Phil is so right about this!! These kids in many cases are not only being paid to play football - they are getting FREE college scholarships to get degrees in professional fields. So if they get hurt, or they fail in the pros or don’t make it in the pros, they get a damn college degree they can either further, or they use to get a good paying career.
    Like stop with this. These kids are the top tier athletes in our country. And it’s the top tier out of those kids that go pro - either way these kids get full boat free rides to attend multi billion dollar universities because they’re good at a sport…

    If Belichick left NC to go after Shula's record people would remember it for the next 50 years. If the record persists longer than those 50 years; no one is caring about how NC was treated or if he kept his word, when most don't have any understanding of what was actually said between them.

There are many, many coaches who excel as an assistant and can’t be a good head coach. It happens all the time.
