I hate those anniversary proxies for what they represent and I'd hate if one of those youtubers who have been complaining about these suddenly bought the packs "for the channel". Having said that, the proxies in a vacuum aside from the financial crap are cool and what you decided to do with them is one of the better ways of sharing them with the community IMO, so kudos to you guys for that.
And right before that they missed out on drawing 7 more cards for the cerulean whisps by targeting the parcel beast instead big the golem, but that deck is nutty and had so much value going on, it rocked
I know this is a year old. But I want to make sure I’m thinking of the same thing as I just built and ivy deck. When you mutate onto a precursor golem. That mutate would then copy onto every golem and both ivy’s correct? Is that the trigger you are referencing? And As long as you mutate beneath that golem. Then their triggers will still activate as long as you target them from then on.
If you Mutate a creature on top, then it isn't the bottom. This matters that you turned Precursor Golem into Auspicious Starrix, removing it from being a Golem. This causes Precusor's ability to remain BUT targetting it wont fire since it's no longer a Golem.
If I may criticise something: the Patreon shoutout should be done at the start or end of the video. The 'Ssssalutation' showed CGB's empty board, and Shea's overflowing. This pretty much told us CGB was out, and Shea was doing slightly okay. While yes, it didnt tell us how the game would end, it did show us an overwhelming board state, and an empty one; nothing about Ben or Blake but, in my opinion, it's a bit too much information. I'd still finish the video, as I did finish the Live Preview, but it's information I'd rather not have, if possible!
Omg the flavor of the bears deck, Blake you're awesome for building different decks like this. Such cute bears. And man overall a fire game again, wow! Cgb being flashy, shea with the BROKEN ivy deck, Ben playing all the painful draw bombs the other two control mages want, the draw pain lol
Great game…nice the Shea’s deck go off and even better to see how triggered Blake gets with card draw! I have grown to love the ending where you say “You’re cool”. Very positive and affirming. Lovely.
Love the show! And this was a fun game to watch. Just be careful when you film your Patreon shoutouts. It spoiled the ending for me when I noticed the life totals (-69 ... nice, CGB) and Shea's board state compared to CGB's. Maybe film them before the game rather than after? Or at least be sure to clear the frame of any possible tells. Nevertheless, keep up the great work! This has turned into my favorite piece of Magic content to watch every week. Your playgroup is so much fun. Much love to all of you.
Feedback on the mid-game patreon message, seeing that Shae had only cards left and the health score visible spoiled the outcome of the rest of the video. In the future if you need to do this, can you make the game outcome a little more of a mystery?

I love your show. Reminds me of my playgroup. If any simic players want to try out my favorite card, its Master Biomancer. Its ability is really broken, especially in a counter/tribal deck. Im pretty sure a coat of arms in a hydra deck or something would be almost impossible to count the power levels with how the biomancer makes them into mutants

Please read and understand how mutate works. People need to know how a key mechanic of his/her deck works. All mutate abilities trigger every time the creature mutates.
@cgb Could you please do a deck Tech video on the chromium edh deck you played lately on the command zone show? I really liked the way you brought flash controlle to edh. I checked out both the deck you played in this episode here as well as in the command zone show and noticed quite a number of chances. Not sure how long a go both recordings are and which of both deck versions you personally prepared to play better. Either way I would be really happy if you did spend a video to review your edh flash deck(s) in more detail.
My favourite deck and mechanic since playing MTGA has been mutate and Starrix my favourite card. But I've always been afraid to play it in paper because of its complexity due to the staggering amount of triggers. Comments am I missing something, when Starrix triggers it doesn't trigger mutate cards on top of mutate cards, they just enter the field. Same with enchantments. The way the standard deck worked is you would starrix onto a heron so that you drew cards and put lands on the field so that you could play a new mutate card from your hand. It wasn't automatic?
I enjoy the little sayings this group has created and stuck to over time, like "Tundra!" This raises the eternal question though, was "P the T" really so bad that it had to be forgotten forever?
Wow Shea's deck popped off, and no one remembered the poor Shoreshark, shed have been able to clear everyones boards and likely 1 turn ko-d three people. Crazy turn though just vomitted half her deck onto the board, what a banger.
Bearforce one is my favorite deck.. I am grizzly vet with the deck. Actually its what Im known for.. love how you can maul your opponents to death. I alo like to do tricks with kamahl especially when they board wipe and make thier lands into creatures or just use those to just feed the bears.
Yeah i have a similar build to shea's with some infinites would spark double, but I worry about 10 minutes a turn of triggers if no one wipes me, feel like I might have to keep it to arena brawl, as so much time keeping track of the triggers and hard to convey to other players the correct board state, without pre making 10 copies of each card as proxies or bringing a stack of whiteboard cards...
Hey uhm I looked it up and as it turns out the token copies actually reset, they have the abilities of all the creatures that used to be on it but the next Mutate on the new token is at 1 no matter how many are on the OG

Missing the Pouncing Shoreshark triggers while Shea was popping off. She would have cleared the board.

Love to see Blake playing Graham Stark from Loading Ready Run's Bearforce One deck!!! Yaaaay bears!!!!!
Wow; Shea’s commander drew more cards than Esper S, Rhystic S, and Mystic Remora combined this game. Great job!
I’ve been wanting to make an Ivy Brawl deck, and I may take inspiration from Shea’s deck..

Shea’s at the wrong side of the table. My brain hurts now.
As Shea did the starixing she missed that the shoresharks would all mutate again bouncing more things

I don’t think Shae’s auspicious starrix would have been a golem due to the mutate making it have the creature type be an elk beast
I could be wrong, but doesn't "mutate" specifically say that it keeps all previous types and gains the new types?
