The music video was directed by the singer, Remington, who was abused as a child, and wore makeup because he thought that if he looked like someone else, then he'd be someone else. He was sent into depression and thankfully got through the other side. The band is with his brothers, Emerson and Sebastian, and they use their middle names ad their last names because they don't want to be linked to their father.
Palaye Royale are such a beautiful band and I recommend listening to Little Bastards by them, too.
Thanks for all the back story to them. Its amazing finding out about all these bands and hearing that makes the song so much more powerful when listening to it. Im glad he made it through and I can only hope that he stays strong

Palaye Royale just released an album called The Bastards today, and this song is in it. The rest of the songs in the album also talk about important topics. Some of the titles are Massacre, The New American Dream, Anxiety, Masochist, and Redeemer
I hope since you wrote that you've been around because they just finished uploading their reaction to the album

If you want a hype song by them thats a little more in the rock genre I would listen to "nervous breakdown" or "little bastards" by them. However with "nervous breakdown" it is the centre piece of a concept story by them that starts with "fucking with my head", "nervous breakdown", "you'll be fine" and then "hang on to yourself". If you are focusing on the music videos watch these in order and they tell a story. I hope you enjoy these suggestions and this was a great reaction to a song that is so personal to not just the band but anyone who listens to it. Thank you.

It was just a character Remington made. He’d dress up as someone else so hopefully he’d be someone else and didnt have to live his own life and live the life of someone else
