Here’s the basic storyline in these three songs: There are these corporations called Lieseil Inc and Warhol Stars, that work together to control Obsidian Island. They use many forms of manipulation over the people, and if someone isnt considered a model citizen, they abduct them and “fix” them through psychological experiments aka abuse. In Hang On To Yourself, Palaye is accidentally invited to a gala held by Warhol Stars to recruit people into their manipulative party movement. Basically Warhol Stars is looking for more people to support their manipulative ways. At the gala, Palaye is put under some of their manipulation tactics (the drink that Rem takes a sip of in the beginning), hence why he collapses during their performance. After the gala they continue to live on the island and live under Lieseil Inc and Warhol Stars’ rule. In F*cking With My Head, Palaye is being watched by Alister Warhol (the founder of Warhol Stars), when they realize what kind of manipulation they are being put under. That’s what the song is about, how they finally see the messed up world they live in. Because they figured it out, they are putting the Lieseil and Warhol rule in danger, so they are all abducted and taken to Lieseil Inc. Mental Estate. In Nervous Breakdown, we see them in the mental estate, where they are being experimented on to brainwash them again. Each of the brothers is stripped of their individuality (notice Remington’s hair color change), and are basically pushed to the point of insanity. One of Lieseil Inc’s security people, though, Daniel Curcio (Palaye’s bassist), uses Warhol’s manipulation tactics against Warhol himself and helps the three brothers escape. Once they are out of the estate, they are still in the toxic world, so in order to protect them, Curcio gives them gas masks for them to use later. I hope this made some sort of sense. I tried to summarize it as best I could adflsj. The entire storyline isnt complete yet, but with the release of the album we should have more information then on other aspects of it!
So I'll explain this whole thing to u (I already explained Nervous Breakdown and FWMH under the Nervous Breakdown video) So in my theory You'll be fine happens between Nervous Breakdown and Hang on to yourself, cause look at the clothes they wore in Nervous Breakdown and You'll be fine, they look kinda similar and in both videos are mannequins and stuff. So they are driving to the castle where Hoty takes place, probably to get more information about Leisel, but they have to wear the gas masks so they are save. Remington took a sip from the alcohol " full of cocaine-champange"and got addicted to Lieseil again, that's why he takes off his gas mask (like in Little Bastards he also drank something and all the Rats, which are standing for the toxic society and Lieseil started to appear and to chase them). He took of his mask when the ballerinas died, they died for something beautiful (die for something beautiful is another song from Palaye) and just for entertainment. The people who watched it are people from Lieseil/ Warhol and the elderly man is the leader and he appeared in all 3 videos planning something and stuff. Now palaye realised that Lieseil is more than they thought, they controll everything, they are basically something automatic cause they are working so well "we got the love in automatic" A lyric is "On a downer baby Fly to the moon". "Fly to the moon" is also a lyric from Dying in a hot tube" where they tried to kill themselves to escape from Lieseil but Lieseil saved them ( diaht probably takes place before Fwmh) The elderly man said, that now is a new era, where they are gods amongst man, so they'll change how they act and not act passive anymore and they'll get what they want. Oke so again this is only my theory, could be wrong. I tried to shorten it and not include other songs too often, cause you haven't heard them yet. Cause somehow almost every song is a part of this Lieseil stuff and I guess the new album will tell even more and maybe finish the whole Lieseil stuff Emerson (the drummer) said once that the gas masks are there to escape from the toxic society we live in and that everyone is wearing a kind of gas mask somehow
Actually You’ll Be Fine is them running away from Lieseil’s mental estate! That’s why Emerson is constantly on the lookout and Remington is still dealing with the psychological effects of Lieseil’s experiments. I’ve been working with a few people and our theory is that the storyline moves backwards through Palaye’s discography, so the Bastards happens before Side B, etc. This also makes sense because of “where it starts is where it ends” in Morning Light. Hang on To Yourself is one of the first occurrences in the storyline that has been given to us so far, followed by FWMH and NB and so on and so forth :D
You should watch American Satan! The main character is played by Andy Biersack from Black veil brides but the voice is Remington's. It has really good songs that explore another side of his voice
I Prevail just release a “remix” of DOA with Joyner Lucas (!) with a super powerful video. I’d fast track that one. I think it’ll get a ton of views on top of being amazing. Keep it up guys.
